- I installed a head-unit and put in a couple tweeters and topped it off with a 12’ sub and 600w amp! Enjoy!

Lol....the dash kit is meant to go behind the dash to the stock 10mm bolts and sit behind the panel. Please don't show people things like this
It wouldn’t fit correctly behind the dash... so I just had to improvise and install it the way I did. Thanks for the input though, I appreciate it!

Looks familiar..... I'm in the process of doing the same to my 1st gen ('93 D250 Cummins). Still waiting on the head unit and rear speakers but I got the front speakers the other day and got them installed (Kicker 6x9's). Even connected to the old head unit they sound great. Can't wait to get the rest of the gear and get it all installed. I went with a Pioneer DSX-GS80 head unit (45 watt per channel RMS) and Pioneer 6x9's for the rear. The original rear speakers were 4x10's in these plastic boxes so I'm getting rid of all that and installing 6x9 wood boxes for the new Pioneer speakers. No sub. FYI if you buy through Crutchfield they throw in the speaker harnesses, custom fit to your car, as well as the adapter kit and head unit harness to fit the DIN unit in where the old 1.5 DIN was. They also send you directions specific to your vehicle. Great service.

Ey I just did an install for a 1993 ramcharger, 4 speakers all around and 2 subs. Figured out the wiring too, the wiring harness was non existent. Would anyone want to see the install?

Hey i would love to have that head unit if you wont use it anymore :c its impossible to find em here where i live :c i need to have classic car plates on mine, i have some original and new parts but is hard cos the ask me at least 80% of originality lol and i havent even started just have bought parts and havent installed em, im trying to make it classic as a gift for my dad

Okay first off they have direct plug ins so you don’t have to splice into the factory harness... second off you installed the dash kit wrong if it didn’t fit behind then you had the wrong one. Third not really a 480 watt should really start doing your research before doing things.... all bass heads know what the amp tells you is never correct and did you even bridge the amp or run anything in series?? This hurt so bad to watch you never run the power with the rc cables, and remote on one side...

Nope that's a 2nd Gen check the body lines . 1st Gen is from 1974 to 1980 and 2nd Gen is from 1981 to 1993 in the USA and to 1995 in Canada. So get it right
You have a point there but from my understanding they start calling them first Gen’s in 89 because that is the first generation they started putting the Cummins engine in them.
