Can you test on a free games like example; Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero ? Pretty please. I wanted to switch to Handheld because I don't want to keep using my phone.
The previous rog ally ram was only 6400 MHz, now it has been upgraded to 7500MHz, so sharing the ram with the onboard card is more optimal, so the fps has improved significantly. 4:09
Not for $800 if you already got the z1 extreme 2023 Ally. I play docked or plugged in so it's all good . 6 or 8 fps ain't worth the upgrade for me . Maybe others
Hello mate, if sd oled and ally x set to 15w, which one give the best performance? Or are those same? I still confuse between thosw two to be my first handheld gaming.
I believe that allocating 8GB of VRAM does not make any difference. If the VRAM is not used, there is no noticeable change in performance. Based on the capabilities of the Asus ROG and Z1 Extreme, these systems can only perform well on low to mid settings, which means they won't utilize the full 8GB of VRAM. Typically, they will only use 2-4GB of VRAM, unless specific scenarios demand more. In cases where 8GB of VRAM is needed, the resolution should be above FHD, and settings should be high or epic. Therefore, setting 8GB of VRAM is quite unnecessary, except for games like Hogwarts Legacy(or the last of us) that require high VRAM. However, I still think it is not necessary to set it to 8GB as you can't set it to high setting. Auto allocation are best, as the system will manage VRAM usage automatically. The change that increases FPS is the increase in RAM speed from 6400 MHz to 7500 MHz. According to the video, this results in about a 10% performance improvement.
battery size tho... Fps Vn also uploaded a new video showing performance difference between the Legion go and the Ally X, and it's not even close at 15w (Ally X wins by like 20%), but the Legion has a small lead at 30w.
Actually does are the real numbers of the Ally X, previous Ally operated at lpddr5 6400Mhz the new revision Ally X has 24GB LPDDR5X 7500Mhz, its technically faster then the legion go's LPDDR5 7500Mhz
That's more then likely because he has cpu boost disabled. That's why he has really low temps under load. I did the same to my All and most heavy games I play don't go over 65c, if I had cpu boost on it would of reached in the high 80s low 90s
@ProNetC2 Also heat sink on the nvme plus don't overclock higher than 30 watts on the other setting that last 2 minutes. Turn off cpu boost . Also a nice backplate with more airflow from dyihandheld or jsaux helps . Plus get rid of the black plastic shield on the nvme . You will have numbers in the 50s running 30 watts 😊

wow, your temperatures are so low, in other reviews I saw 80 degrees in games, now I'm seriously thinking about buying the X version
I thought people weren't supposed to do fps testing
Can you test the ROG ALLY X high load vs. AYANEO KUN with a VRAM-20GB battle?
Hi which monitor would be good for asus rog ally ? And which size 24 or 27??
Asus 27" ips 1440p 170hz VG27AQ1A
what do you mean? whichever you prefer is best.
The battery life increases and the vibration is at 15w, then take away the new gaming places for a little longer
You think they might unlock new TDP??
That's a nice difference. But I'm sticking with the old model. I'm mostly playing some AVN games anyway.
Not worth upgrading , I'm happy with mine
yeah thats true, if rog ally x change with more advance procesor than z1 extreme that’s will be interesting
Even the white are pretty 😂

Ally X for sure
All games at 900p or 720p?? Great job
Can we play Alan Wake 2 on the Rog Ally X ? Pls ! :)

does allocating 8GB VRAM can make big difference? Can you show us? Now that Ally X has 24GB RAM, I think you can do 8GB VRAM

Just 3-5 FPS Difference!!! Nah I’m good 😊
Не большая разница между ними
Nice try. Those are legion go numbers, I can tell by the ram memory.
