@@christopherhill6790 The corruption was deep in the rest of the system, too, which was probably why it was able to fall at all. The Jedi were embedded in the republic/ politics, meanwhile letting millions rot in slavery, oppression, and poverty: some of which could have been helped. They also couldn't even detect a sith lord in their presence, but I'm a bit unclear as to why (except maybe they lost connection to the force due to their corruption?) The senate was also corrupt and ineffective, or played right into the hands of those seeking to manipulate it, especially Palpatine. It would have collapsed sooner or later, even if Palpatine was stopped. Turning all that around seems unlikely if not impossible.
I love how most of the audience and people that are reacting to this have also probably seen rebels and knows ahsoka lives but we were still in shambles watching this scene
The tension in the minutes leading up to this moment is so well done. You can tell exactly what’s about to go down and yet you’re still not ready for it when it happens.
How do I tell you I cried, but because above all, Anakin's dark deeds is my favorite song beside all the main ones. I couldn't believe they put this horrifically sad song in this precise moment. I just bursted into tears 😔
So many years since we first saw this order in Revenge of the Sith. It’s been portrayed in so many forms. And yet, it’s still painful. I’m sure I’m not the only one who cried.
Just realised, how gripping would it be if the final scene of season 7 was rex saying "yes lord sidious", and then in tales of the jedi, a few years after season 7, has an extra 2 or so episodes of the rest. The cliff hanger would have been actually GOATed
I love how they added that training scene in tales of the jedi i think it was, of anakin training ashoka to take on multiple blaster shots from the clones over and over again
I get so tore up watching other people react to this. Those last four episodes basically comprise my 2nd or 3rd favorite Star Wars movie. Two of the best damn hours in all of Star Wars. Dammit, now I need some tissue!
I guess nobody noticed but when ahsoka is surrounded and starts deflecting the blasters, she purposely deflects them upwards to blast through the ceiling. Crazy detail

And the Anakin dark deeds score from episode 3. I finished watching season 7 just now and wow just my gosh
Even during his downfall, anakins training and love for ahsoka is what kept her alive in those moments. Are you telling me she would have died without all that training….
Not only is this the best moment in a top three arc of the entire franchise, it manages to bump up Revenge of the Sith at least two notches to an 8-9/10.
I had the privelage of not knowing what would happen of season 7. I had no idea order 66 would even happen so when this scene came up it hit me harder.
The moment when the alarms went off, I was like ok. Another clone wars attack moment THEN OBI WAN COMES IN SAYING THE CHANCELLOR WAS KIDNAPPED OFF OF COUROSANT THATS WHEN I KNEW
If Rex didn't stop those two clones behind Ashoka, she could've died the same as Secura, that little delay Rex telling them he'll do it was enough for her to escape

Girls: men are so cold, thay never cry
When men cry:
18:00 had me dying bro 😭 ‘we have about 10 minutes’ ‘NOOOOO’
Rex shaking and crying made cry like a baby knowing the lore, he didn't sell out like Cody, even though rex technically led the 501st
The music gives me chills every time no matter what. So masterfully done
That's how good this season was - it came after Rebels, so you know Ahsoka survives, but as soon as Maul opens his eyes, it all still hits you like a freight train...THIS IS IT.
'I hope Ahsoka makes it out alive, she has so much potential.'
Ain't ever seen Rebels.
Sometimes I wish order 66 never even happened I wonder what was it like without it 😔
The original trilogy doesn't happen without order 66. The Jedi would defeat Sidious/Vader. So many Jedi would have been impossible to overcome.
I'm sorry but the Jedi needed a cleansing
Anakin and padme raises Luke and Leia. Padme becomes chancellor and Anakin becomes a Jedi master.
@@mudyao Anakin becoming a master? You surely jest.
@@christopherhill6790 The corruption was deep in the rest of the system, too, which was probably why it was able to fall at all.
The Jedi were embedded in the republic/ politics, meanwhile letting millions rot in slavery, oppression, and poverty: some of which could have been helped. They also couldn't even detect a sith lord in their presence, but I'm a bit unclear as to why (except maybe they lost connection to the force due to their corruption?)
The senate was also corrupt and ineffective, or played right into the hands of those seeking to manipulate it, especially Palpatine.
It would have collapsed sooner or later, even if Palpatine was stopped. Turning all that around seems unlikely if not impossible.
“ *UN-LIMIT-ED… POWERRRRR!!!!!* “
Order 66 is the greatest betrayal of all time
I love how most of the audience and people that are reacting to this have also probably seen rebels and knows ahsoka lives but we were still in shambles watching this scene
Man how tf every reaction back to back make my eyes tear up. every angle they have presented of this moment is absolutely heartbreaking…
John Williams’ score in this, holy shit it’s just incredible👏🏻
I really like that good old Palps seemed to be puzzled by Rex calling him by his Sith name - look at the head raise and tilt as the holo shuts off
Oh god these 2 episodes absolutely broke my heart.
After seeing Tales of the Jedi, this scene is even more chilling
Hayden is still the best Anakin Skywalker we got
So many years since we first saw this order in Revenge of the Sith. It’s been portrayed in so many forms. And yet, it’s still painful. I’m sure I’m not the only one who cried.
Just realised, how gripping would it be if the final scene of season 7 was rex saying "yes lord sidious", and then in tales of the jedi, a few years after season 7, has an extra 2 or so episodes of the rest. The cliff hanger would have been actually GOATed
When Rex drops his helmet… chills. CHILLS.
There were many Jedi tried fight clones and failed. Ahsoka in this moment is more powerful then most of jedi
Small detail in case you missed it.... Ahsoka using the same techniques to defend herself against the clones as she did while training with them.
Damn she felt his fall to the dark side. Thats messed up
I just realized that may have happened because of The Daughter inside of her.
@@alvarostockle I never thought of that. That’s awesome
I was not expecting her to sense everything that was happening in that moment like my gosh this moment was intense and also just when Asoka was talking to mace but then left and he said that quote from EP 3, "I sense it's a plot to destroy the Jedi the dark side of the force surrounds the chancellor." And the Anakin dark deeds score from episode 3. I finished watching season 7 just now and wow just my gosh
Even during his downfall, anakins training and love for ahsoka is what kept her alive in those moments.
Are you telling me she would have died without all that training….
Where real men cried "Find him, Fives, Find him" as Tex lets go of a single tear trying to hold of his programming
When she reflected all the bolts away from the Clones then dragged Rex with her to make sure he'd be okay got me right in the feels.
Louise Julie’s eyes when Maul opened his.😳 😂
The Asian girl in The Movie Couple has special powers: she can apparently move faster than light.😂
Glad to see real OG's remembering Fives.
Michael: How is she so fast? None of the Council was able to do that!
Tales of the Jedi: Hold My Beer!
not gonna lie...i've cried to this scene more than anything else 😭
17:54 seconds before disaster
The moment when the alarms went off, I was like ok. Another clone wars attack moment
THEN OBI WAN COMES IN SAYING THE CHANCELLOR WAS KIDNAPPED OFF OF COUROSANT
THATS WHEN I KNEW
3:05 his reaction was incredible
If Rex didn't stop those two clones behind Ashoka, she could've died the same as Secura, that little delay Rex telling them he'll do it was enough for her to escape
Everyone: *gets emotional and stuff*
Me: For a unit that had ample experience fighting along side Ahsoka Tano, you'd think they'd have just popped her right away instead of letting her weasel her way out to safety.
They were about to and Rex ordered them to stand down so he could do it.
@@Blitzwaffen They still took too long. The moment that order was given they should have been shooting. They gave Rex a few seconds to try to halt them. Seconds that would have caught her off guard and sealed the deal.
@@DrForrester87 nah you can hear them getting the transmission after she has already walked past them, so they didn't receive the order at the same time as Rex. They then immediately turn to shoot, but Rex, trying to resist the order says he'll do it instead and buys her a few seconds
Fives References and then Anakin's Dark Deeds? Damn youuuu, Dave Filoni!!
What made this scene so great was we didn’t know exactly when order 66 would come down. If it would happen on Mandalore, in transit (when it happened), or by Coruscant so it was as unexpected for us as it was the Jedi
It's nice when channels employ chapters
I never realized that that was Anakin’s Dark Deeds
Rex: no i cant do this!
Cody: Finaly!
Ik it is no longer Canon but in the novelization of Revenge of the Sith, Cody momentarily starts cursing at Palpatine in his head when he shuts the halo projector off thinking to himself it would have been better if you had given me this call before I gave him back the bloody lightsaber. So your statement is not inaccurate
This scene make even more sense after watching Resolve from Tales of the Jedi
She's still force sensitive with 2 light sabers I suspect that Darth Mall since Lord Sidious and Darth Maul either sent a message willingly or unintentionally towards Ahsoka Ahsoka saw what Darth Maul saw a disturbance in the forest and that's how this started
Every show/Movie anything set during the clone wars is gonna have a order 66 moment and no matter how many times we see it every Star Wars fan goes silent for it or gets sad cause it’s such a heart wrenching scene and story
1:48 “Dude he fought more than any other clone.” I would be very interested to see a certain red armored commando name captain Fordo and his attempt to fight this order!
Love that they included my favorite song from the franchise into this scene. It brought the scene to a whole new level for me. The second half of Anakin's Dark Deeds is the most slept on motif from John Williams.
We all hate Order 66 because of one real factor - We never see the bad guys win.
It is very very rare for bad guys to actually win in a franchise or series. the hero always saves the day, but at this point in the star wars history, it happens. The bad guys snuff out the light and rule unchallanged. Their plan succedes, the jedi are destroyed, the republic is overthrownand the sith rule the new Empire.
The Bad win, and the good loses, so it hit REALLY hard.
imagine this in chronological order tho
There was a fan edit of it
@@mannyfresh03 i mean watching itfor the first time in chronological order
That’s how I want my kids to watch Star Wars (when my wife and I have them). I’ll never be able to see them that way for the first time, so I want to see how my kids interact to it!
Clone wars is just peak star wars
I think this show did the absolute best thing by showing how Order 66 affected Ahsoka. We all know what happened to Anakin, this was the best alternate perspective to show. The Bad Batch backed it up by showing it in a Clone perspective, but one not affected by the chips.
