@@richardcannon6227 You're right, Hayden is much better normally.
@ Anakin didn't "lose" to her. He reached out to her through the force as she was drowning. She wanted to give up. She wanted to stop fighting. This is why he repeats do you want to "live" or "die." He was testing Ahsoka as well as pushing her to live again and let go of her guilt and shame. He didn't want her to continue focusing on the past, her dwelling on abandoning Anakin, the Jedi abandoning her, nor the horrible deeds her master enacted on the universe as Vader. He wants to strip her of this as well as her hesitance to train others and simply move forward. Anakin is the chosen one and the actual true balance of the force (good and dark) This was the best test and couldn't have been better. It's also why Anakin finally steps away, his eyes turn blue, and he says there is hope for her. Ahsoka can't kill Anakin's force essence...lol. If Ahsoka really faced prime Anakin back in their day and even before his injuries, he would have stomped her.
Not many reactors talk about the lesson that Anakin was giving Ahsoka here. They instead think this is just a cheap fanservicey Anakin vs Ahsoka fight. Missing the point of it. Anakin's main goal here was this: to help Ahsoka face her inner demons and to help her defeat them. To help her overcome her trauma. Ahsoka up to that point was living a life traumatized by her past. She felt responsible for the deaths of all the Clone Troopers under her command. That is why the "flashbacks" focus on two events: one of her first missions during the Clone Wars. When she refused to follow Anakin's orders and as a result, many troopers perished. The other flashback focused on the Seige of Mandalore. Where Ahsoka was feeling overwhelmed with the responsability of having so many troopers' lives on the line. Anakin took her there to remind her that she did the best she could. And to remind her that there were no other options that would produce a better outcome. So her feelings of guilt were misplaced. Another major traumatic experience was Ahsoka's belief that she was responsible for Anakin turning to the Darkside. She felt that she abandoned him when he was the most vulnerable. Ahsoka was having difficulty separating Anakin from Vader. That is why she keeps seeing Vader instead of Anakin. Because Vader represents a failure that she feels personally responsible for. Anakin was determined to show her that Vader was not him anymore. And that he was long gone. The good side had won. So that's what the fight was about. To show her that Anakin was not Vader and that she was stronger than Vader. An entity entirely fueled by rage and sadness. So when Ahsoka beats Vader, Anakin (no longer in his Vader persona) smiles. Because he knows that Ahsoka has finally beaten one of her biggest demons. She understands now that Vader is no more and that Anakin has risen from its ashes. And is now teaching her a life lesson. Again, this lesson was never an ego trip for Anakin. So winning a fight against his padawan was never the end goal. This lesson was all about helping his padawan overcome her feelings of regret and guilt. Which would allow her to finally live for real. Instead of just "existing" as she did before. She was now, fully alive both spiritually and physically.
Good words, but you forgot to mention that these flashes in which Anakin becomes Vader are a way of showing that Vader's personality has always existed in Anakin. Showing Asoka that no matter what she did, this dark side of Anakin was always there, she just couldn't see it. In the Clone Wars cartoon, it is always possible to see Anakin slipping back into his Vader side.
Well I didn't read all of that because it's not important enough but one thing I will say is that this was fanservice. The plot of the show is about her finding Thrawn and Ezra not facing Anakin in live action. They just added that as a side part. Having cameos, characters making guest appearances. They've been doing this since Mando season 2 finale with Luke then again in book of Boba Fett.

I always found funny the fact that people said he acted like a horny teenager who couldn't talk to women properly in Attack of the Clones. But he was exactly that, a person who never was taught to properly control his emotions, specially when he was such a passionate and emotional guy, like, how he was supposed to act? 😅
You know the Galaxy really was incredibly lucky that Anakin was put into the suit, imagine if He was never deep fried and was allowed to grow to his full strength in the Dark Side.
That scene with young Ahsoka sitting with the injured Clone Trooper. Priceless! The clones of the 501st division believed they had many brothers, but only one sister.
I mean. If you read the books that were written before Disney got ahold of the franchise it explicitly states the Emperor wanted Vader in the suit, he KNEW Anakin was far stronger than he was, he directly states it. Anakin was by far the most powerful entity in the Star Wars universe and the Emperor knew he couldnt control him forever so he needed to depower him in order to actually maintain his own life. In the suit he was barely human which left his connection to the Force nearly nonexistent. It said he realized the Emperors betrayal and tried to muster up the power to crush him with the equipment around the operating table but was unable due to being half robot now. Vader in his suit was already the terror of the galaxy. Vader without the suit would have controlled the galaxy.

Anakin is another prime example of jedi like Mace Windu or Bultar Swan. At times, they were able to harness small amounts of their inner darkness and channel it into their fighting abilities, capable of controlling their dark sides while going all out. It was for that reason that Mace was given a purple kyber crystal, representing his finely tuned balancing of light and dark. Before he fully succumbed to the dark side, Anakin was able to switch between light and dark almost seamlessly on the battlefield and beyond. Growing under Obi-Wan's tutelage, not so much, but once he became a jedi knight, he had a firm grasp on it. As we all know, the clone wars and the various instances where his darker emotions grew put immense strain on his ability to control his emotions, leading to his fall. In the times before, though, Anakin was a proven and gifted jedi, well worthy of his title of hero of the republic.

People underestimate Anakin/Vader all the time. Ahsoka is a formitable force wielder by the time of this episode. But just look what happend when Anakin decided to unleash the dark side in him to show her the importance of motive, decision and conviction. Something she always pushed ahead of herself since she was a padawan. Had she not decided, with conviction and heart, to end the fight her way, she would have died there and then. No doubts. Vaders side of Anakin was ready to kill her on the spot. His character has nothing that could be called bloodlust or some sort of insanity, that gives him this unbelievable strength. Vader is pure darkness, raw, unshielded evil bowing to his decisions alone. Only following his own path, morals and wishes. If it is death he is wishing for, death it will be. If he wishes to safe his son, so it will be. BUT HE NEVER EVER DID HESISTATE. Not when slaughtering the younglings, not when he killed palpatine, not when he gave his Scholar her last lesson. Hayden was the perfect cast for that role.
I’m surprised they’re surprised that Anakin wouldn’t turn back into his normal self. I knew going into this he was beyond any form he had taken prior. Full mastery of both light and dark, true balance in the force. That’s part of what makes him so powerful in this celestial form. His limit is higher then any being to have existed, and he has fully mastered both light and dark. He didn’t go all out in this fight, he was simply teaching Ahsoka a lesson… hope to see more of this form in future shows…

I liked the episode very much. I really had fun making the video. I hope you liked the video too.
This episode was absolutely incredible. One of the best Star Wars things I’ve ever seen. Seeing a live action recreation of The Clone Wars and seeing Hayden as Anakin as well as a live action young Ahsoka, Luke and Rex was all something I’ve wanted to see for as long as I can remember and it was handled unbelievably well. I hope we see more things like this. I’d love to see a live action Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Luke and Rex talking. As a massive Star Wars fan, this was everything I’ve ever wanted to see and more.
Honestly, this episode with Hayden was AWESOME! It's much better and more emotional than the Obi-Wan show and it's finale. Disney should have given Obi-Wan to Dave Filoni. It would be so much better.
My other enormous issue with Disney Star Wars is their inability to be consistent. Every time that the lightsaber was ignited in episodes 7,8,9 it would bother me A LOT. It sounded COMPLETELY different. In the Ahsoka series, when Anakin ignites it they use the CORRECT lightsaber sound. Why did JJ Abrams and the others feel like it would be cool to tamper with the sounds?
And just when you thought it can’t get any better , Episode 6 has got our mouths drooling for Episodes 7 and 8 … the Ahsoka series is the best so far out of Disney… God bless Filoni !!!!
This kinda of flashing and symmetry between Vader and Anakin is everything a chosen one fan dies for. Anakin will always be the best character and the flashing was just such good visual story telling
After everything, Anakin achieved perfect balance in the force. The way he embodied the fury and relentlessness of Vader with the style and intensity of Anakin, we see him with both his personalities in perfect tandem. I also loved how he said "So that's what this is about" and then switched to Vader to let Ahsoka take out her frustration on him.
I’ve always believed that the Jedi‘s final trial was not the construction of their own light saber, but a rejection of the Darkside of the force. Luke became a Jedi, not when he defeated his father, but when he rejected the Emperor, and all that he stood for.
I love that Ahsoka has always been able to hold her own against Veder when her head is in the right place. She would have against Dark Jedi Master Sexy if her head had been right & she had been duel wielding & using her talents. She was trained by a guy that fought like him. Using HIS technique is not going to work using the technique he taught her to BEAT a big guy like him does!! I mean she at least had him at a draw in rebels.
I love how they ahowed Anakin has mastered both sides of the force and his hybrid dueling style from when he was armored. He truly would been a force to be reckoned had he mastered this while he was living.
Did they realise hows fk badass Anakin is now.... he can control the Light and the Darkness.. he can walk both sides of the force and he master'it.... he became a godslike !
I never realised this but in the mandalore scene with the back shot of ahsoka and anakin looking over the battlefield ahsoka is in a fog of light while anakin is in a fog of darkness
I still cannot believe to this day that something akin to the World between Worlds with Anakin, even if it was his force ghost instead, wasn't at all in the sequel trilogy. Apparently it was because Mr. Abrams disliked the prequels THAT much that he didn't really want to draw any attention to that, so arguably the key character in the entire saga was shelved mostly other than the easter egg of Vader's melted helmet and a little voice at the end of 9. Baffling.
This is Master Skywalker. Anakin as he was always intended to be. A Child, an Avatar of the Force. Watch him closely in this fight. He is controlling every aspect of it. It is a work of art what he is doing to Ahsoka. From that first thrust, that came out of nowhere and put her off balance, that was the work of a Master. Every step of this fight is a teaching moment brought to its highest level. Master Skywalker could walk through an army of the greatest Sith who have ever existed and annihilate them. Any survivors would be kneeling before him. That is not what he wants though. Adoration is fleeting. Power will always be challenged. Crafting a legacy that will endure for all time, that is a challenge worthy of a Master.

When I saw the shots of him going from anakin to Vader I had full body chills. Still do
I love it, it's 2023 and people still have an orgasm when they see Darth Vader.
Hahaha
I just want a Dave Filoni Star Wars trilogy. Is that too much to ask for?
I’m surprised they’re surprised that Anakin wouldn’t turn back into his normal self. I knew going into this he was beyond any form he had taken prior. Full mastery of both light and dark, true balance in the force. That’s part of what makes him so powerful in this celestial form. His limit is higher then any being to have existed, and he has fully mastered both light and dark. He didn’t go all out in this fight, he was simply teaching Ahsoka a lesson… hope to see more of this form in future shows…
I liked the episode very much. I really had fun making the video. I hope you liked the video too.
When can we expect next episode?
Feel free to include my reactions in future videos if you would like 🙌
Me too.
Are you guys for real ??? I can’t take so many soy boys and dumb people reacting like this to another dumb series.
Now I understand why Rosario Dawson said that episode 5 is her favorite…. 😊
It's clear....Anakin is the new Father.
The call backs to revenge of the sith and clone wars was perfect…
Ming Qiu's fight choreography in this show was AMAZING!
One more time he proves he is the balance btw both sides !!
this hole EP is a gorgeous gifht to the fans !!
Dave Filoni truly understands what every Star Wars fan really wanted and he delivers it !!! ❤❤
Absolutely I agree.
Honestly, this episode with Hayden was AWESOME! It's much better and more emotional than the Obi-Wan show and it's finale. Disney should have given Obi-Wan to Dave Filoni. It would be so much better.
“フォースに選ばれし者”は光と闇を問わず、真の意味でフォースを使いこなしていると言っても過言ではありません。
My other enormous issue with Disney Star Wars is their inability to be consistent. Every time that the lightsaber was ignited in episodes 7,8,9 it would bother me A LOT. It sounded COMPLETELY different. In the Ahsoka series, when Anakin ignites it they use the CORRECT lightsaber sound. Why did JJ Abrams and the others feel like it would be cool to tamper with the sounds?
“I promise you, I will even learn to stop people from dying.”
And just when you thought it can’t get any better , Episode 6 has got our mouths drooling for Episodes 7 and 8 … the Ahsoka series is the best so far out of Disney… God bless Filoni !!!!
True to form, Anakin’s idea of a lesson is “GET UP, YA BUM!”
"Again" Anakin TOTJ
There are times when we all need a Mick in our corner.
This kinda of flashing and symmetry between Vader and Anakin is everything a chosen one fan dies for. Anakin will always be the best character and the flashing was just such good visual story telling
This is one of the best live action episodes of the Star Wars franchise to date. I cried so much during this.😭
What I love is she refers to herself as a Jedi with the subtle line “in a Jedi’s starship”
Her eyes changed in this episode, She had Sith in her eyes. Like a reflection of her master.
All it takes for Lucasfilm to understand the fanbase, is to watch this video. This is it. This is what brings the fans in.
They lack conviction....😊
When he said ''you lack conviction'', he sounded like Matt Lanter :O
I don't think that was him as a Jedi or a Sith. But perfectly balanced as he ALWAYS should have been
"You lack conviction" in a robotic voice was awesome, that was pure Lord Vader.
The flashes of Darth Vader gave me goosebumps reminding me of the days of Hayden Christensen
Seeing it in live action really puts into perspective how young ahsoka was fighting a war
All the people who did not watch clone wars and rebels are pissed right now 😂😂😂😂
Blue saber means friendly
Red saber means enemy out to get ya 😂
This episode should be put in an art museum
I love how they ahowed Anakin has mastered both sides of the force and his hybrid dueling style from when he was armored. He truly would been a force to be reckoned had he mastered this while he was living.
Did they realise hows fk badass Anakin is now.... he can control the Light and the Darkness.. he can walk both sides of the force and he master'it.... he became a godslike !
I never realised this but in the mandalore scene with the back shot of ahsoka and anakin looking over the battlefield ahsoka is in a fog of light while anakin is in a fog of darkness
El capítulo más hermoso que se ha hecho.
There is something about seeing Hayden with a lightsaber again, I don't know what it is but it puts a childish smile on my face.
He learned the power to save the ones he loves
tapped into the dark side then deactivated it. Mans connection to the force as a whole on screen 🔥 😌
It’s moments like these that I love Star Wars
I know for a fact that the Prequel/Clone Wars fans were eating up everything with Anakin and Ahsoka.
As a noob, I enjoyed every aspect of it.
I want to hug Filoni and thank him
I still cannot believe to this day that something akin to the World between Worlds with Anakin, even if it was his force ghost instead, wasn't at all in the sequel trilogy.
It's weird that everyone hated on Hayden Christianson so much constantly and now they are just acting like all those years never happened and we didn't watch them throw all that shade.
I also thought about that.
Aaahh. that episode has been...astonishing!🤩🤩🤩🤩
Watching these amazing reactions from this bunch in the journey that i'm taking watching Ahsoka, Obi-one Kenobi and the Mandalorin has made me a FAN of the Star Wars, well, everything! These reactions from the people who truly know their stuff is the gift that keeps on giving! Thank you so much
I don't know why, but i love seeing people happy
Hayden showing why Anakin is the most iconic charcater (also Darth vader) in entire universe .
You can tell who is genujnely great with a lightsaber and who just recently joined the universe
We have been waiting for you to share since the morning 😊
I just managed to share it. I finished it in just 5 hours :)
This episode was by far the best of any live action Star Wars, (maybe the best of all the TV shows)
u guys are crazy this ones going in memory hole as soon as the next Disney sludge is served
"you lack of conviction" that really thunderous
Even Anakin´s fightstyle changes when using the red lightsaber. Its more forcefull, more Vader-like.
Seeing people react like I did makes me so happy!!!!
