Awesome work Man! I am just about to start my project with swapping an m111 from w203 to my w201. Thanks for every video and for sharing knowledge. I Hope for a new video soon!
glad to help, w203 has a newer ecu but the gist is the same, feel free to contact me if you need anything(also, watch out for the front oil sump setup)
Amazing help! Thanks for taking the time to record this for people who are not to deep in this topic. With this video, nearly every mechanic should be able to run this engine in any car:-) Do you have any experience with the M111 say the 220E from the W124 for example? Is the wiring similar? Thinking about another W201 with the none boosted engine for my wife🤣
Thank you for the kind words! w124 220e had older ecu(referred to as HFM ecu) and other stuff also. The gist is pretty much the same, but it has different pinout since it only has 2 connectors.
yes, but you need different flywheel since 6speed from m111 has shorter input shaft(if your m102 gearbox already has a short input shaft, like on the diesel with dual-mass flywheel, it will bolt on) keep in mind that the driveshaft is different
Hi! Big thanks for makeing this video, but i run in to a problem... I connected all the wires like you showed, everything seems to be okey, but my ignition key just dont turn. Like something is mising... where do i need to search for problem?
Did everything as you described, kept the metal ignitiom box to be sure. But when i turn the K40 on (ignitiom on) i only hear a buzzing sound from the electronic throttlebody. When i put 12v on the purple (starter) wire the 038 relay is keeps clicking, but nothing else happens. Do you have an idea what my problem could be?
Great Work! very valuable. Is the wiring the same for a motor with automatic transmission? Do you have a pinout from the ECU with only the necesarry wiring? I started as well.. Big Thanks.
There will be more videos, just not sure when you might be able to get "immo off" done to your ecu despite the missing switch, or get another switch and key programmed to the ecu I would suggest immo off emulator(removing the immobilisation) if it is cheaper - that eliminates some problems
The question is : how did you know that sis yiu ask some one teache you tgise or you read a manual on foeoum ...thank you thank yoi a lote please jus give us the reffencw of thia knowledge ❤❤❤
You’re a top bloke going out your way to help Lee Lockwoods 190e. You’re a very talented man

this was 2nd car I tore apart for my own projects, did a few before
I would like to ask you: Can I install a 6 gearbox M111 on an M102 2.3 engine?
yes, but you need different flywheel since 6speed from m111 has shorter input shaft(if your m102 gearbox already has a short input shaft, like on the diesel with dual-mass flywheel, it will bolt on)

Спасибо за полезное видео. Не ли схемы в виде рисунка?

Nice Video!!! Which cable is the speedometer connected to?
I have w126 electronic speedo driven by Dakota Digital SGI100BT unit via rear diff abs sensor

Thank you for the kind words, this was a manual car, automatic is the same
I would like to know which plug did you connect the two green wires to? thank you for your help
if you mean CAN wires, from the ignition box to the D connector on the ecu (match same color wires)
Is there going to be another video, dang. I forgot to pull the ignition switch when I had my donor car. Pulled the harness and ECU, but not the switch
There will be more videos, just not sure when

@@pittstop4310 cool cool yeah, I will most likely do immo off since it's easier
Can this be used with an engine that have electronic speed?
yes, if you connect it like this, it becomes something like a standalone harness meaning you can put it in anything really...
Hi do you do a costume wires for engine m111 going to 190e 1993
not right now, I thought about it, maybe in the future

A lot of research, mostly trial and error
