The 4.3 Chevy V6 always had a good sound. Especially with headers and a cam.
The 4.3 is literally just a 5.7 minus 2 cylinders
What's a good brand of cam and header for a 4.3?
@@sweetness2689 there are plenty of manufacturers that still make headers for that V6. Summit, Flowtech, Hedman, etc.... Lunati, Comp Cams, and Edelbrock make good cams.

I prefer V-8’s and trucks so I don’t search out V-6’s ( only what they post here). Most people don’t build 4 or six cylinder vehicles to get good or even decent sound out of them so they sound like 💩 . I could go on and on.

@@LyndenJep where? Send me links if there are good sounding 4 or 6 cylinder vehicles. Maybe a wet fart sounds good to you or that popping/cackling rev limiter bounce sound. ?? Or are you saying it doesn’t sound good?

Better than I was expecting.
I put a new exhaust on my wife's stepdad's 93 C1500 4.3, it had no cat and a glasspack, it was loud and not good. I put a Summit Turbo muffler on it but it was still fairly loud so I put the glasspack on the end of the tailpipe with a turndown at the bumper, all single 2.5" pipe. Sounds pretty good for a V6, as deep and toned as you can get without headers or building the engine.
Reminds me of my high school teachers 2000 Chevy 4.3 s10 but his tips were straight out the back . Get me a damn honey bun!!

Crazy thing is I have a blazer with a 4.3 and it’s got a 2.5 straight pipe no cat. It sounds exactly like this. Been thinking about doing duals since I don’t have the cat it will be louder

I’ve yet to find anyone try what I’m looking at doing on my S10 ZR2. Gona do a catback dual with 2 mufflers welded together and run a pipe from each out the back. A temporary system until I can drop a ls1 in at 25yrs and run true duals through the same mufflers. Essentially a 2-1-2 setup
I got a 02 chevy s10 zr2 4.3 v6 with a single straight pipe but I am thinking about putting dual exhausts on it

Not everyone needs a v8 or can afford one, the Chevy 4.3 is a very good motor
A 4.3 is a 350 with 2 less cylinders.. same pistons , belt assembly interchanges , alot of it's the same

Inheritance is a crap rust belt truck. Can’t complain because my other truck timing is broke, and long list of other stuff. I wanna make like annoy the neighbors loud.

Ah man. Someone ruined it by putting a diarrhea colored bow tie on the front. The diarrhea colored bowtie cars, trucks, and SUV's are junk. So are Cadillac's. The only GM Trucks I'd buy are the ones with the red letter badge/logo on them. While most consider GMC's and Chevy's to be the same, I for one don't. I actually think the GMC units are superior and that they were made of higher quality or rather high quality control compared to the diarrhea colored bowtie units. When buying from GM, always look for the GMC red letter logo on the trucks and SUV's or the Buick emblem before buying. Leave the Chevy's and Cadillac's sitting right on the lot to rot until their finally hauled away. Also, when buying a used Buick or GMC unit, avoid the 4.6 cadillac northstar engine (mostly found in the lucernes) and also go with the 4.8 v8 GMC engine instead of the 5.3 (less oil consumption).

@@Arrozconchopsticks I don't feel that Chevy's and GMC's are the same thing. I had a like new 2003 s-10 that always had something wrong with it starting a month after I bought it. I was better off with the beat Ford Raner I had before that and the F-150 that I had prior to the Ranger. My folks had an 04 Chevy trailblazer that always had something wrong with it too only it started tearing up a week or 2 after they bought it. Guy that used to be married to my Grandmother bought GMC Sierra's and the local GMC dealership and never had any real problems with any of them that I know of.

@@chadbullock6326 Well who asked you? Besides, the GMC badged vehciles do have to pass tougher testing standards coming out the gate through quality control than the crap chevy's do. Which I think proves my point that the GMC badged trucks/SUV's are better units.
