Yes you can store as powder so that you can make puttu. Only Ione thing to remember is to wash and soak millet 6/8 hrs before grinding . Once soaked then drain water and dry roast before grinding.

Seems your mixer grinder is not heave duty one. When you buy a mixer grinder, always check the watts. My grinder is 1000 watts. That will grind everything smooth pastel. Hope this will help you😊

Millets are of many type but why you make idli with foxtail millet? why you dont use other millets? Can we use mix( all millets kodo, foxtail, finger, barnyard and little) in equal amount for idli?
I’m not sure that because I’m in Canada. Here, we have some stores that sells millets and bulk and cheaper price. Please check with North Indian stores there. Hope this reply will help you😍.
