Is he related to the general of Hungary and regent of Transylvania from the 1400s? Mykhal Szilagyi.

Szilagyi's dominance was real in this bout. Amazingly won. His form here was even better than the last Olympics, the parries were very fast, his footwork was excellent and his predictions were well placed. Well deserved. Hope he can continue this form at the world's next year.

I hate how they fail to say Aron's last name when they said it for the first time

Try as I might, I can't find 2016 Olympic fencing on YT. I suppose it is a copyright issue. Anyone know where to find it?

I've wondered this as well. I'd assume it is a copyright issue.

Excuse ignorance, but, what does that "2/2" in the score mean?

Pretty sure it's just the round, but my instructors might have had different rules.

2/2 Is the second bout (after 8 points - 1 min break)

Not entirely correct. A sabre bout to 15 touches is fenced in 2 periods, with a minute break once someone reaches 8 touches.
In foil and epee this doesn't happen, because those weapons often run the clock out on the encounters...a 15 touch bout is in three periods of 3 minutes each (if they get that far...sometimes the bout is over within the first period), with a minute break in between.
Sabre is so fast, tho, that you RARELY run the clock out on a single period, hence the break at 8 (hence the joke in the sabre community that the only time we bust out the clock is FOR that minute break).
And a slight correction on target area in sabre...it's everything above the waist EXCEPT for the hands (specifically, target starts at the wrist bones).
Basically, all the shiny silver stuff on the fencer is target.
