- Wild camping in the modified OEX Bobcat 1 person tent for two nights on the hill. Putting the mods to the test and hiking with a stupidly heavy pack to Earl's Seat , the highest point in the Campsie Fells in Scotland. Trying out the X-Boil Ultralight burner and enjoying a few hard earned beers.

unreal views @ 1:00 onwards !! nice sturdy looking pitch @ 2:07 ... i have the old version of that tent ( the north ridge Col-1) it did me proud in a full force storm on the top of the cliffs down from broadhaven, most of the other tents were ripped to pieces...except for my little chap

Another good video from Camping Caledonia. I'd never seen what the top of the Campsie Fells looked like before. Cracking views to be had from there. It is always good to get grid references, to check out your pitches. The x-boil did not really add to your 20kg rucksack, which was just as well, considering all the other vessels (tins) you carried up the hill. Cheers!
Aye bro the wee X-Boil did the job just grand, thanks for the heads up on that bit of kit! The beers were worth their weight and believe it or not I even brought two of the six cans home with me! I’m sure you’ll see the tops o the Campsies for yersel when you’re down this way. Cheers 👍🏻
