Who is the scariest player to ever play baseball?

    • @Wsd1m

The scariest with a bat is judge but the scariest in general is prob Chapman

    • @hawaiianwater1913

Pitcher: Chapman definitely ( Back then probably Randy and if we had Bob Feller pitching right now, oh boy we'd be in trouble)
Batter : Maybe Vlad tbh or Trout

Frank Thomas, despite being one the nicest guys off the field, is I imagine one of the scariest to face on it. The guy was massive, he could hit anything, and he had just a mean look to him. Plus, I mean, the guy's nickname was 'The Big Hurt' when he played. Loved the guy.

I was about 12 yo after a game at Kaufman stadium with dozens of other kids getting autographs from players. Frank Thomas took the time to give each of us an autograph. Super nice guy but what a giant!

Aroldis Chapman is the scariest player to ever live. He once almost hit Mike Brosseau's head with a 100+ fastball, and even thought I'm a Yankees fan, I was cheering for the RAYS to win that game, which ended up being one of the two games where the Yankees actually beat the Rays in the season they went 2-8 against them.

Nolan Ryan is the scariest baseball player ever to play. He was very quiet so you never really knew what he was thinking or what he could do. He also threw well into the 100s and had an intimidating presence on the mound

I always thought Matt Garza was a scary dude. I watched him pitch a game in Texas against the Rangers when he shook off his catcher Navarro, then gave up and big hit, then after that they got in a fight and had to be separated by their teammates. I can’t ever find footage of it, but I’d love to see someone do a review of it!

I would have said that Aroldis Chapman is the scariest MLB player but after that egg throwing Bell story I would say he's the scariest MLB player. For Randy Johnson I would say his agression is to win games and not to injure or worse kill someone. Randy Johnson is kinda like a Horror movie actor who players the killer, someone who you think is ruthless and mean but behind what we see he's a nice guy just off this video and how he cares about his family's safety after hearing a place that he would've stayed in was supposedly haunted

Dave Winfield killed a seagull in Exhibition Stadium. The place had a seagull problem and in the bottom of the fifth inning, Winfield threw the ball he was using back towards the dugout and hit a seagull, killing it after warming up between innings. There was debate over whether he did it on purpose. He was about 80 ft from it when he threw the ball. His manager, Billy Martin, said, “That’s the first time Winfield’s hit the cutoff man all year.” Ater the game, Winfield got arrested for causing “unnecessary suffering of an animal.” Winfield went to the police station. Pat Gullick paid his $500 bail to get him released.
