I scribbled that little ditty on a scrap of paper while sitting in a register office waiting for my sister’s wedding ceremony back in the 60s. She was only 17 , pregnant and was very nervous, I thought it might help her relax and put the piece of paper into her hand. It did. She collapsed in helpless giggles and sailed through the ceremony with a huge grin and without a hitch. We lost her 30 years ago, and I still miss her every day. This sketch brought back happy memories.
Never seen this one - very funny. As a born & bred Northerner, I can say they made a reet gud job o' the accents - (though some sensitive natives will dispute it)

At one point he said : "don't you worry, whatever your accent is, you'll always find a place in England where they will understand you as it will match perfectly their own accent !…"
Was it supposed to be Yorkshire? I spotted elements of everything from Lancashire to Leicestershire. I think it's just supposed to be a 'rural' comedy accent.

I'll be honest, these two can be bland and Morecambe and Wise can be brilliant, but 9 times of 10 or so it's the other way around. They must have great fun doing the accents for this scene!
I'm American and I understood enough of it to think it was hilarious. And there was a big piece of machinery making a racket in the background where I'm at. Still it was easy enough to get the gist of even the parts I didn't precisely understand. These guys are awesome.

Yes it bloody well is! Everybody's accent is funny to someone with a different accent! And British comedians never stop making fun of non-regional accents (i.e. Received Pronunciation, or BBC English to you!).
I lived in South Yorkshire for 20 years and I can vouch that there are people in that part of the world that do talk like this. Eey-up
