I was born in 1975. My dad introduced us to the Two Ronnie’s, Dave Allen and Love Thy Neighbour. We had Kingswood Country in Australia as well. I miss the old days.
"Ah, yes, supposing... I want some crumpet at teatime" (audience start laughing) "Well, supposing I do" (audience laugh some more) "What I do after 5 o'clock is my own business" I never get tired of watching this clip. Brilliant from start to finish.
This is real comedy. You didn't need to say f words every 5 seconds. This was something very well written and brilliant and these actors really did a amazing job at bringing it to life.
On the subject of chocolate bars, I think we should go back to calling snickers bars marathons. Why? Well, then we could call the fun size bars half marathons.
@@neithere nope. There are no gems today. It's all woke garbage. The 70s was full of fab comedy with nill swearing or PC toxic. A far better Era than the chaos of now,
Thankyou! I have been looking for this sense I saw a tape of this in '89! (I think.) The Two Ronnies never aired in Indianapolis.(Monty Python was already paid for.)
I wonder how many of the comedians today, tomorrow and the future have or will be greatly influenced by the late, great Ronnie B. I would say more than "alot".
I’m 19 so I was born far from the days of good clean, clever comedy like this but I wish I was around during this time as now all comedy is is callous remarks and rude jokes but two ronnies, spike Milligan, tommy cooper, morecambe and wise to name a few that was the era of comedy and I hope it will live on to make us laugh.
@Dave Moore It's nice that a young guy such as yourself appreciates the older and witty humour. I fondly remember the days when I used to watch their shows back at home with my parents. They were absolutely hilarious! The same goes for Tommy Cooper, who you also mentioned. Sadly, none of them are with us any more, but at least we can still enjoy them through all these brilliant sketches :)
This was back when Ronnie Barker was a multi-talented genius and one of the legends of comedy - he could make almost any joke work without being overly crude or offensive. A tribute to Ronnie. R.I.P. Political correctness killed comedy as we know it.
1976 to 2020 ... 44 years later and I'm still waiting for these things ... also the flying cars they said would be going by now! I'm disappointed that this future has not worked out the way they told me and quite frankly I want a refund..
No political correctness back then, that's why we don't get great comedy anymore. You cannot joke about much anymore without upsetting someone these days. It is a shame that this type of comedy will not be about anymore. You cannot have a laugh anymore without someone wanting to take you to court, rediculous.!

"Sorry, WRONG CUCUMBER."
laughing my abs off!
No obscene or coase swearing--just great wit ,innuendo, and unbeatable delivery--there will never be another pair like them.
SOooooooo well said !
It takes genuine intelligence to write comedy like this. We don't see much of that anymore.
the day after the world ends.
Swearing isn't more obscene than innuendo, in many ways it is less so, it's devalued and effectively meaningless.
Definitely a great "PAIR" 🤣
"Well, it's either two o'clock or they're still on strike."
Classic!
A time when my mother would have loved a washing machine. Not complaining. This was / is funny. Two great comedians.

@TheRenaissanceman65 ... and you don't necessarily have to be British to enjoy it either! :-)
don't forget bats put holes in the top of your milk bottles.
Agreed
@TheRenaissanceman65 😄😄😄😉
If you ate all that, you could see muhammad ali, in a dark room, with your eyes shut. Even if he wasnt there. Brilliant.
Oooo how the looneys would jump up and down if that was done now......

what i love about that joke is during the laughter you can hear Corbett laughing

Exactly. Sadly, nowadays it's the F bomb and the "L" word....back then F meant Funny and L meant Laughter.
Not trying to get cheap laughs at other people's expense either.
"When the wife blows out the candles tonight there'll be a cold front with a following wind." Thumbs up!
Only one word for it, and that is 'genius', not least that time doesn't render it any less amusing.
My laughing went off The Laughometer with this one! 😂🤣
"how about the food of the future? well it's gonna me bigger"
Have you seen the size of a Mars bar nowadays?? XD

Great video, better than todays comedy, wait, there is none...........
There is. It just takes time for a show to become classic. There's always been tons garbage and a few gems every once in a while.

Humour at it's best!! Nothing like it these days

SB 50cal already imagining the riots if that phrase were included in a modern comedy sketch! 🤣🤣
Superb!!!
The mouse trap of the future. Cheese, a Jimmy young record and a brick. You creep up behind and hit it with a brick.
If there's one thing that never changes, it's the traditional stoneware mixing bowl.
No wonder the eggs come out cracked 😂😂😂
