Great review! That was the most comprehensive, informative, and concise review I've seen for any air fryer. I'm going to watch your other reviews to help me make an informed decision for which fryer is best for me! Thanks!
Everything I've cooked in this unit has come out great th-cam.com/users/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB ! Everything tastes so good. Some of the recipes I've changed a little to improve the taste. For instance, for french fries which call for no oil, I spray them with olive oil and season them with salt and pepper. They come out great! It makes the best toast I have ever eaten. The recipe I use calls for lightly buttering both sides of the bread. It calls for cooking at 400 degrees for 5 minutes on one side and then 2 minutes on the other side. This time has a lot to do with the kind of bread you are using...so keep an eye on it. Also, the fans in this Ninja are a lot stronger than other air fryers. So lay a metal spoon or something on the bread to keep it from flying around. It's a little extra work to use your Ninja as a toaster but it is worth it!
I have the same airfryer and I could not figure out how to turn it off when I was done. Hitting the power button and then pulling it out was a great tidbit of information that you gave us. Great job great review
If I am making some that makes a mess in the bottom, I put a tinfoil pie plate under the basket. It doesn't block the air circulating and it is a great grease catcher. BTW, love your airfryer cookbook!
SO many great tips!! Thank you so much !! (I especially appreciated what you said about using foil or water to prevent the grease/ crumbs from cooking....I never would have thought of that). Thanks again!
That looks almost identical to my Cook's Essential Air Fryer. I absolutely LOVE it. Though I don't know about 20 minutes for French Fries....maybe thick cut real potatoes, but nothing frozen. They would be burned up for that long. At least from my own experience. I've only cooked frozen so far, but I do want to adapt my oven fried french fries to my air fryer, because they are sooo good! Great reveiw, Urvashi!
Wow, this is video gold. So many useful tips and no fluff. Straight to the point and very clearly presented. Great audio quality as well with that invisible mic. Wanted to see a real life review of the Gowise after Consumer Reports recommended it and I was NOT disappointed.
Very helpful i own this air fryer and learned some things watching your video. I would love for you to provide some tips on how to cook certain veggies in the Gowise.
Thank you for your review. I just bought a gowise 5.5qt online and I was having second thoughts about it but after watching I was sure I picked the right fryer. I will also check out your book
Thanks again. May I ask you - which air fryer do you like the most; if space was not a consideration -- which one do you feel is the easiest and best working? Thank you for your honest response. (I know there are pros and cons to all - but for those of us who still haven't made up our minds; it would be helpful to know which you like best in the end.) :)
I have a GoWise, and I must say their customer service is excellent. However, I still use my IP much more, so I'm very anxious to receive your book. It roasts veggies and nuts wonderfully, melts butter, and there endeth my repertoire. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us.
Hi. There is a complaint on Amazon that the coating on the tray peels off. Is that an issue I should be concerned about? Are the recipes in your book for one or two people. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
Lee F It does; my husband bought one and after no more than 10 times, the paint started peeling off. Also, There’s an unappetizing smell to it even before the meat goes into it. My husband says it tastes fine but it does not smell anything like beef while it’s cooking - there’s only a smell of something, but nothing resembling food.
One also has to watch out for peeling paint on the heating element above the food...i'm not referring to this one, but someone left a review about one Cosori model, and showed the pic....They said they saw black flakes in their food, and discovered it came from the heating element....i personally think it's terrible to paint the heating burner, as well as the rest of the basket, etc., because of the toxicity...
I plan to meal plan a month out; which means I will be bagging and freezing each meal till the day of. Can this be used to cook my frozen products? Or is this ideally for fresh (non-frozen products where I will have to cook separately each part of the meal? Ty in advance for your feedback!
thank you for this video I have a gowise 5 qt air fryer and I was cooking a steak in it just now and the steak was a skirt steak and it was much thinner and it was cooked before the end of the preset cycle and I could not for the life of me figure out how to just ended and your video answer that question Midway through so thank you so much for making the video
Thanks--very helpful. I'd like to see how easy it is to clean afterwards. I have never used an air fryer, and would also like to see how you put food in there--especially for cakes, etc. Have you baked bread in it? Thanks!
I ordered an accessory kit and also a pack of parchment papers for it from Amazon. Have not received my fryer yet so cant say how it worked but you might want to take a look
Hello...by any chance have you heard any comments about the GoWise GW22731 air fryer produces an odor every now and then? I was about to purchase this air fryer and saw this at the last moment. Thank you!!
Great job in reviewing and with some of the hints ... I so far I do not like the air fryer ... I've cooked 3 different items and all have been over cooked using the preset settings.
@@Twosleevers my husband is actually the one who said we should get one. Lol. I remembered some of your videos and I think I may go with the Cosori based on your reviews. Thanks for showing how these things work! I'm going to order after we get back from vacation.
I own one from a german well known brand. Its good and at about 70 euros. Got it for 40. I saw yours at aldi and I got curious. You dont have to pay 100s for a good machine.
You mentioned food on the bottom cooking first. I thought one selling point of Air Fryers in general is that they cook food evenly; the air circulates all over. If not, I might was well throw food in the oven or in a frying pan.
I personally do not recommend GoWiseUSA. The Air fryer stopped working after a few months of use and getting a replacement under the warranty was a huge inconvenience.
You said you are reviewing smaller size…do you know what the quart size this Go wise air fryer is? You just said smaller but you didn’t say the quart size.
My husband bought this. he’s the only one that uses it and he cooks beef in it. He said the taste is fine, but the whole kitchen just smells yucky. it’s just a funny smell I can’t describe. the beef never smells like beef while it’s cooking. it always has that other smell. also what was supposed to be a nonstick coating in the basket has come off. it’s just paint and it happened after 10 uses. So 👎🏼👎🏼 for the fryer, but your presentation is excellent.
So I am in the process of trying to choose an air fryer. The reviews are all over the place and confusing. This is 1 that keeps showing up. You went through the product, but how did it actually cook?
Had a goWise 12.7 air fryer go bad injust 10 months still under warranty, and dealing with the company for help has Been a NIGHTMARE ‼️ Never would have bought there product had I Any Idea , ( Bad Company) Beware‼️

Could you please let me know how this does for fries since they'd need to be piled.

Is the basket easy to clean?
Cynthia Lewis very easy. Soak it in hot soapy water for 20 minutes and everything just slides off
Thanks so much for your quick response.😊
I read a lot of reviews that the nonstick coating peels, did you have that problem? It’s my only concern with committing to it
