I've been watching your channel since 2022 when I got my first Cosori AF and since upgraded to the Dreo ChefMaker. The Parchment paper with the sides are great to put under the basket and then use it to cook burgers. What a time saving hack. No more greasy bottoms. I do still have the ones with the holes but hardly use them now since I upgraded to the newer ones. Thanks Cathy for all your fun and user tips and hacks. I have to try those magnets, those look cool to use.

Your tips were so helpful. I especially liked the one on when to place the parchment paper in the bottom of the air fryer instead of the basket so that
the grease will drain away, but the parchment will catch it in the bottom of the air fryer, saving some clean up. Thanks, Kathy.

I have been using the parchment paper liners since I bought my air fryer 8 months ago. I hate the clean up otherwise. I know not to put the liners in while pre-heating the unit, so I have not had a problem with "blowup" burning. I can cook my entire meal with different times and foods using the liners that go up the sides! Baby potatoes, three colored peppers, and Sweet Thai Chili coated salmon all together. I just lift the whole liners out and serve!

I've been using reusable silicone liners. They're a lot easier to clean than the air fryer basket, and on the occasion when something actually sticks to them (like salmon fat!), I can use tougher cleansers on them than I would on an air fryer basket. They have ridges on the bottoms that the food sits on, which allows for some airflow, so I haven't had to adjust cooking times or temperatures. They have more structural integrity than a paper liner would, so they can double as air fryer baking dishes for recipes like the BBQ tater tots casserole. They do have some disadvantages, the first and most obvious of which is they have to be cleaned, and in a situation like yours, where you have a lot of people using your air fryer, including teenagers, there's a lot to be said for the convenience of disposable liners. Also, one of my silicone liners is prone to staining, and I can see that it will reach a point where it looks gross enough that I'll want to throw it out and buy a new one. But at under $10 apiece, they're a great value and meet my expectations.

Thank you for the tips. I use parchment paper and like it. I'll try the magnet trick because yes, the paper rolls up in my air fryer. I'll give it a try under the separator when cooking chicken because I hate the oily mess after I get the chicken cooked. Thank you again.

Thank you VERY MUCH for these tips! Especially appreciated putting the parchment paper UNDER the grill plate to catch drippings, while the food item is sitting right on the grill plate! Also loved the air fryer magnets! You don't know how many times I've been frustrated with the parchment paper curling over my (frozen) chicken-veg spring rolls! I cook 6 at a time, and they don't fill the grill plate sufficiently. Plus, we're supposed to give them space! Anyway, loved the tips! And I'm going to cook my salmon in my (Ninja) air fryer TONIGHT! I've always just cooked them in olive oil and a little water, kind of "poaching" or "steaming" them, and it's a futzy enterprise.

Didn't know you had liners. I bought Cosori liners from Amazon along with your cookbook and CheatSheet. I'm subscribed and rang the black bell. Today I used my Dual Blaze for the first time. Three steaks covered the bottom. Mixed every kind of meat rub I could find in the cabinet. Lightly sprayed pan and meat with the type of spray bottle I saw on your videos. Coated the steaks with combined rub mix and cooked at 400 for 8 minutes. THEY CAME OUT GREAT ! ! ! !

Thanks so much for the tip on the magnets. I've been using parchment paper since the air fryer's being used more often. I bought 3 air fryer baskets about 3/4 inch deep and have little legs on them that I bought at Temu. I put the air fryer liners in and put one of these on top and I always have crispy food. They are the best investment I've made for my air fryer

    • @2uksteve
      @2uksteve 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Instinctively, the idea of an extra basket/tray insert seems to make perfect sense - essentially the same as higher racks in a conventional oven. Of course, the higher they stand the closer they are to the air-fryer's heat source - so some allowance must be made for that.
Are there any sources other than Temu?

I have parchments but find I don't usually use them. I always have aluminum foil around so I just use a piece of foil cut a slight bit larger than whatever I'm air frying, turn up the edges of the foil to make it a tray to contain any juices. Then easily lift the foil out when it's done.

And I love your recipes. You are awesome. Your kids are great with the taste testing and your recipes are amazing❤
And I did have a problem with the parchment paper burning my husband did I think cuz we used it a couple times so that might be an issue too. But I love the magnets and I think I'm going to start using the papers again. I started and then I stopped when they burnt a little bit. But I'm either using my air fryer for dinner or I'm grilling everything
When you live in a place where it's even still 105° in October, you don't want to turn any oven on or be over the stove, but I love to cook and make my own meals and the Cosori air fryer is a game changer!
Thanks for all your recipes and I subscribed and I can't wait to see more. Maybe some game day recipes. I know you've done some wings but I haven't seen any in a while. I've seen some from some other cooks though, but you seem like the air fryer Queen. Love to see your recipe🎉❤

Yes, I use them every time when I use my air fryer. But I also use it now when I'm baking my own bread (I bake it in a round cake pan in my normal oven, also convection). So simple: Take dry baking-mix, mix it with water, put a lid on the bowl, wait 8-12 hours, put the baking-paper in the baking pan, put the bread dough on the baking paper, put the pan in the airfryer or convection owen for 50 minutes (convection oven 180°C, airfryer 160°C - I'm in germany). Take the bread by the paper, out of the pan, peel of the paper, enjoy healthy fresh warm bread - faster than you can buy it without having stress! I love it!!! :-D
Greets from Germany - happy weekend to you all!
    Edit recipe for the bread:
500 grams of dry baking mix and 350ml of water make a bread that fits perfectly in my air fryer (square basket, 20.5 cm wide/long inside the basket). It will take a few seconds to prepare, 8-12 hours rest and then 50minutes to bake it.

Love to buy your parchment paper, but are they made in China? And the magnets too?

Mein Ninja Airfryer SL300 EU hat 2 Schubladen mit nur 17 x 17 cm Innenraum. Ich finde dafür kein Backpapier und keine Silikonschalen. Kannst du mir helfen?

    hello
Thank you for the informative videos
What model do you recommend for the best inflatable air conditioner of about 5 or 6 liters?

Good tips. When I take out what I cook I out dish soap and water in it, it sits there soaking. I eat. It’s easy clean… some of this seems like a real overkill. I mean it’s OK if people want to do it but why take something simple and make it as difficult as possible to freak yourself out. That’s not the point. At least that’s what I thought. Oh well…but you have it nailed…

I've always used plain parchment rather than the special liners in my air fryer (the oven kind). I have accidentally set one or two little fires because a corner of the parchment is not perfectly weighed down by food and so floats up until it touches the heat element. Very scary! Be careful!

The demonstration you did with the salmon was flawed in the fact that the salmon has a solid base unlike a portion of chips that require air flow would react differently, and the magnetic strips are a good idea but I looked and at $16 a pack way to expensive for me. I use the papers all the time because we never used them before in the oven and the air is blown around the food like a fan oven and up and under the tray the food is in, the only time I don't use them is when I am sauteing or stewing.

Oh heck YES I use AF Parchment paper. Buying all the AF "pans etc" is costly. and then I'd have to wash them too.

Cant you use a normal metal magnet to keep the paper down anyway?

Test it out to see if they'll work in your air fryer (just make sure there isn't anything that is NOT oven safe attached to the magnet).
