My question ❓ is what is that extra wire for in the back with the Red cover on it my truck has it as well can't find the purpose for it maybe different kind of headlight switch
Your truck should have a harness clipped to your frame all you have to do is plug them in and splice and connect the wires it worked for me my truck didn’t come with fog lights from factory
I just plugged the fog lights in and connected the yellow and brown wires together and it worked I still have the stock controls without the fog light switch

Yes they do, whenever the wire is hot, they'll turn on.
Actually, you know what, maybe they don't turn on when you flash the brights. I honestly don't remember and I've gotten rid of the truck since.
Hey which one is the fog light wire ? I have a third party relay and toggle switch for my fogs (added them from the junkyard )

Honestly, I would just look for a kit and wire up a separate button next to the knob 🤔 I'm sure you can tap into the wiring for power though.

So if you have it on the circle part will the fogs stay on or will they stay off?
Charlie Quintana oh if the lights are off then they'll be off forever. But, if you turn them to any position then the fogs will always be on.
what about can you turn on high beams with fog lights on 👍
Whenever you turn on a headlight the fogs will come on

What if it you have a 4 door f150 with lightning bumper is it the same
do you have fog lights and the same controls? if so then you should be able to follow these steps
They have the same plug and everything but they don’t turn on and the bulbs are brand new

I just plugged the fog lights in and connected the yellow and brown wires together and it worked I still have the stock controls without the fog light switch
