I think people in the comment forgot the "hold her hostage in a DV shelter" part. "Hostage"... Where? Why were they here? Its funny that when a mother hide from her abuser in a shelter with her daughter, it becomes "holding her hostage".
@@chaz_eptv1430she tried that. So did I. I left my daughters father while he was at work when my daugher was 2.5, I gave him 2 and a half years to change. He would drink and beat the life out me, destroy my stuff, destroy the house , have broken beer bottles smashed all over the house and in the walls. He’s throw things like a deodorant and hot coffee that both bit my baby daughter. Dragged me by the hair with her in my arms, banged my head on the wall with her in my arms, scream scream scream. I left and then gave him another chance to be in her life, I moved back to Florida (worst decision of my life) , when she turned 5 and would be starting kindergarten. He fucked it up again. Little girls and little boys 1) can’t see their own mother being abused. 2) little girls can’t see that because they will 100% end up with the exact same guy when they get older 3) it puts the children in danger and it also risks the mother to lose custody to the state as well for keeping her kid(s) in harms way. - this is coming from me, a woman who was raised with her twin brother to a single father. I’m far from anti-men, I love and respect men, I also know theirs alot of shìt ass mothers out there. This is just the reality of this situation specifically.
If this scenario happens in real life, please have the lawyer(s) present as witnesses. If there is any concern that the abuser (man or woman) will become violent, do not announce your location to them.
I wish I had the bravery to speak to my daughter’s father like this. I am still too afraid of him. He knows exactly how to intimidate, scare and manipulate me. When I told him that I have PTSD from what he’s done to me, he laughs and says “what was soo horrible that you’re sooo traumatized over?”… when I point out the time he knocked me down a staircase, when he dragged me through the house by my hair, pulled a hoop earring that caused my earlobe to split in half, choked me on the ground and spitting on my face… etc, he just scoffs and says that was in the past and that it’s my fault I keep bringing up the past. He would never allow me to leave the state, even if it were in the best interest of our daughter. He’s also said he would do and spend whatever it takes to sue me for full custody before he’d ever pay child support because he claims if I need support, that means I’m unfit to care for her on my own. If he actually paid me back the $2,000 loan I gave him so he could afford his mortgage payment, maybe I would be better off financially right now.
There's only one season of the Maid and I think there's only nine episodes. I could be wrong but this is either the second last episode or the last episode.
Is Sean the guy in this video? The abusive alcoholic that the whole series is about her trying to leave?? Girl you’re delulu I hope this isn’t something you aspire for yourself
@tiyaboo100 she was clearly being taken advantage of by sean. Notice how Sean took her back to his house after the ordeal and not nates? Nate was constantly pestering her about a relationship and didn't accept that she wanted to wait until things were equal between them.
Over all, if a father loves their kid, he’ll go extreme measures to get them, illegally or legally, it’s nice to have family around the world. #Americanwomen
This is bullshit and stop with this kind of victim mentality and start owning up to the abuse parents put their children through especially DV households
Why is there always men who defend abusive husbands/fathers. Do you see yourself in him? Do you see your dad in them? Those men always come off delusional
Sean is evil.He uses Maddy to have access to Alex. He wants to control Alex through the custody of Maddy. He forced her into having their daughter. She wanted an abortion and he threatened her.
If you had watched the series you'd have known that he became abusive after they had their daughter. Way to victim blame. I recommend this series to you especially.

If you’ve ever dealt with guys like these, they are always the victims of how other people react to their behavior.
It's definitely projection as her got rid of her car so she couldn't leave the trailer and really did hold her hostage
Haven't seen every episode yet but seen enough to know she's extremely brave
By neglecting her child’s need for a dad?

@@chaz_eptv1430he was an abusive alcoholic. Thats not exactly the ideal type of environment for any child to grow up in

She should have documented every time Sean went missing for days drunk and every time he lost his temper. He would have lost custody of his daughter.

I know that the place they're at is somewhat public. But I wished that there was someone to mediate or ensure nothing escalated.
She is such a strong woman for standing up to him and not folding. Not all of us women are capable of doing that to someone who hurt us

what is the title of this movie
MAID on Netflix
It’s a series only one season
Lol After watching her in "The Substance"😂
What exactly did he do again?
He was an abusive alcoholic, and he was getting more abusive, eventually took her hostage. In my opinion, he deserved a harsher ending.
