after watching Hifiman slash prices of the HE1000SE from $3,000 to $1699 and now back up to $1999, I wouldn't touch the sus unveiled for more than $4,500. These companies are being absolutely ridiculous with what they are charging. As the tech matures, the prices will get better. In the future they will find faster ways to make the diaphragms. I know that there are some things, during manufacturing, that cost some $$$, resources, and time, but a price tag of $8,000 is beyond dumb.. It is a marketing strategy at this point
Love my OG Susvara. Upgraded from Arya Stealth to HE1000SE to OG. Have not even had them a year yet. Still breaking them in and enjoying how incredible they sound. Looking forward to more impressions and experiences with Unveiled. I'm sure the itch is gonna take over in the next year and I will be upgrading. 😁
@@dtz1000 How do you like Susvara? What are your thoughts on how they sound outside of a critic's review? What setup are you listening to them on? It makes a huge difference. Properly amped they are a religious experience. I have heard some of the most amazing $$$$$ sound systems and headphones. I can tell you that I love them! I also own Focal Utopia and all the essential Sennheisers including HD800S that they say started the whole headphone craze. Are Susvara perfect? No. But having listened to a lot.. They offer something special. That's why they are still part of the conversation 7 years later. Next stop. Listening to the Unveiled version. And today they announced an Unveiled version of HE1000SE. Say what?!!
I'm only saying this because I buy and sell precious metals... Silver is only 30 dollars an ounce... while that may be a tremendous amount compared to a year ago, It's highly unlikely that there is even an ounce of silver in the Susvara unveiled.... So how does having (if being generous) 30 dollars worth of silver justify a 8,000 dollar price tag? I would buy the Susvara unveiled for the sonic upgrade, not because it uses whatever amount of silver in their headphones.
Hello friends! I compose and listen to orchestral music. I have Susvara Unvield and Susvara OG. Unvield is the best planar headphones in the world. I totally disagree with similarly of OG and Un. Sound is very different. And the difference it’s not in frequency response. OG is like to be in 10th row in philharmonic, but Unvield is like to be on conductor place. Soundstage is wider and taller. Imaging and separation of instruments are stronger. Unvield is faster in bass and more engaging. Sound is liquid and more realistic. Secret with Susvara OG and Un is to listen orchestral recording with same volumes like with your own ears in philharmonic. In this case it could deliver you reality of the sound. In case of frequency response Sundara and Susvara are almost similar that’s why it’s not only important for headphones review. Thank you for your review. I like it a lot! ❤
Also why do you say they chose weaker magnets on the covers not to “impede with the sound characteristic of the driver from any magnetic fields from the outside” I thought it was already emphasised enough you’re supposed to take the covers off while listening😅
Found UNV to be too bright and too forward and a little harsh at times due to this. Almost sounds like an HD800 with more mids and bass. Directly comparing with OG, I prefer the OG… it’s smoother and seems less forced and is less fatiguing. Setup used is Hugo2 and Feliks Envy FWIW.
@@goldenstasgs I supposed if $$ is no object, I might consider. I spent $1500 on my Sennheiser 6 years ago and I suffered buyers remorse for an entire week. But for those who can afford to let go this amount of paper for a headphone, congratulations and more blessings to ya👍🏻
ASR website rated the Susvara as one of the worst Hifiman headphones. I think Hifiman is relying on TH-camrs to hype these up and maybe some people with more money than sense will fall for it. I think that is their marketing strategy.
Correction: the stealth magnets are meant to be less „obstructive” for the sound waves, but they didn’t take that obstruction out in the unveiled😅 They just removed the grill and mesh, the magnets in the driver are still there

Interesting, what amp are you using with the Unveiled?
Thank you for your question! Wandla+Hypsos+ORR, WA22 2gen with different tubes, and even iBasso dx320 with tube amp 14.

No premium headphone should cost this much money, no matter how amazing they sound, IMHO only, of course. Thank you for the video, however.
Why? Unvield is in the level of electrostatic headphones. Maybe you need to try it?

More than your motor car, possibly.
