Bob is in superb brilliant voice through out these performances! Outstanding playing by the whole band! I have to watch this live concert over and over as to not miss anything, its my favorite of all the live videos of GBV!
What a great show. I saw them a few days before in Seattle, and Kevin was so plowed he was barely able to make it to his drum stool, yet they were just as good that night. Favorite moment, the banter and botched count off to My Son Cool at 1:08
I was here/there. grateful. sad for lost time. Typical Whisky show - no legit sound person. I actually grabbed a set list from the stage and then gave it back after realizing I was too eager. I was part of the problem. Bob's lack of vocals was a real problem. We couldn't hear any Bob in the front. When music was good and live music was great .... and real.
I've owned this for centuries on VHS - it's great - Bob's annoyance with the soundman (following on the night before as well) tends to slur the proceedings a bit, but the show's rock solid! Thanks!
Cool to see a show I was at. Loved (still love) UTBUTS. These Whiskey shows were not well advertised, so you could show up and get tickets pretty near showtime. Forgot who opened. Red Krayola?
Not sure how I found this on VHS, but it's in my collection, with sticker intact. I own hundreds of their 12"s and 7"s but only one official VHS. It fucking rules. Long live dead formats.
I have many favorite bands deserted island, GBV and another band called Luna will get me through if I have a little help from my friend, called weed...
You know how sometime a song you've never heard before just sorta telegraphs to you that a guitar solo is about to go down? Love how every time Bob decides in-the-moment to let Tobe peel-off a solo like in the album cut of whichever song they're playing, the camera op instinctively pans to Mitch first, no doubt thinking to themself "Les Paul = solo player" before wobbily recorrecting and redirecting the automated camera to Toby's corner of the stage for a brief lesson on the Tele. Guitar ppl will get what I'm sayin here (i hope) also love the cam op lovin that guy at 1:55:55 😂

@@rickg8015 it's been a while but I hope you're doing well, if not better, since this was posted
Wow just wow!
Bob is in superb brilliant voice through out these performances! Outstanding playing by the whole band! I have to watch this live concert over and over as to not miss anything, its my favorite of all the live videos of GBV!
fantastic show of a legendary band at the peak of their powers
some would argue they are still at their peak 25 years after this recording.
@@bookboy7007 i absolutely agree
Great! Thanks to mumblepop for sharing this stunner.
THERE ARE NO MONITORS
What a great show. I saw them a few days before in Seattle, and Kevin was so plowed he was barely able to make it to his drum stool, yet they were just as good that night. Favorite moment, the banter and botched count off to My Son Cool at 1:08
I was here/there. grateful. sad for lost time. Typical Whisky show - no legit sound person. I actually grabbed a set list from the stage and then gave it back after realizing I was too eager. I was part of the problem. Bob's lack of vocals was a real problem. We couldn't hear any Bob in the front. When music was good and live music was great .... and real.
Man Marlboros were 2 packs for $5 back then
i remember when they were 45 cents!
back when life was cheap
I've owned this for centuries on VHS - it's great - Bob's annoyance with the soundman (following on the night before as well) tends to slur the proceedings a bit, but the show's rock solid! Thanks!
Wasn't sure if I'd seen this before, but then.....jesus fuck would someone give Bob the setlist back?
Cool to see a show I was at. Loved (still love) UTBUTS. These Whiskey shows were not well advertised, so you could show up and get tickets pretty near showtime. Forgot who opened. Red Krayola?
Que pedazo de concierto, gracias!!!
Not sure how I found this on VHS, but it's in my collection, with sticker intact. I own hundreds of their 12"s and 7"s but only one official VHS. It fucking rules. Long live dead formats.
this is the best thing on youtube. GBV!!!!!!!!!!!
yes
Dude! Awesome! Miss watching this! Had it on VHS but it was destroyed. Probably from watching it 10,000 times.
Whoah, where did THIS show come from?!??!?
Thanks to whomever.
GBV!
Bob going hard on postal blowfish the uncles feeling it
Definition of Rock
And... yeah what a setlist.
Lucky bastards that was there :/
tremendous! G! B! V!
I was there. It was fantastic!
SO MANY AWESOME ENCORES
Lord of Overstock. Super underrated.
Thank you, mumblepop. Have wanted to watch this for years. Surprisingly good audio!
"If you want us to wing it we'll do it, but otherwise pass us the fuckin setlist back!"
That was freakin funny Fading Captain!
Guitar ppl will get what I'm sayin here (i hope)
also love the cam op lovin that guy at 1:55:55 😂
