I saw them at the 40 Watt in March of 2001. They still packed 'em in. Elf Power opened. Luna played the night before. I flew especially down to AThens, to get in my 90's indie-rock gods twofer, Luna on Friday, GBV on Saturday. It was pretty damn cool. Thanks for the post.

I'm wondering if there's a chance that I'm ever gonna have the pleasure of seeing this band live. A bit of wishful thinking on my behalf that they're gonna come and play in my hometown of Liverpool in the UK. Since I discovered them - which happened only a year ago - they have shot to the summit of my list of "must see" bands before I die. So c'mon Bob, get your arse up to the home of The Beatles.
If you have been deluded by Radiohead and Franz Ferdinand up to now and havent figured out how to dedicate your life to whats important-GBV it means selling your house if you have to and getting on a boat or plane. Otherwise relax in your armchair and go back to snooze
Best American band ever!!

I was in that room with you that night. Great show!

2 GBV shows scheduled in London on June 5 & 6, 2019.
Saw them in 2010 in Oberlin, OH on Halloween (Bob's birthday). Everyone dressed up. WELL worth seeing, however you can make it.

@@davidames1746 To paraphrase Bill Shankly; GBV is not a cult, It's much more important than that.
Do you have a passport? Did you see them live yet? Don’t sell your house but seriously it’s possible
The best-est Salty-alty Salute ever-ever-ever.
52:30 game of pricks
A salty salute to you. Is the club open?
40:15 Tight Globes
Wish someone would load up the Trans AM show from around this time too!
Surprised to hear Hold on Hope in the set, I thought it was treated like a soiled tissue by Bob?
There is no best....but your'e close I think!
This sounds FuC%n€ rad. I luv the heavy bass mix…more punk than u
Could use a little more vocal and a little less bass guitar, but ok otherwise lol.
started w/ wrong verse though
The sound mix sucks
Not if you're a bass player.
Or if you EQ the bass at home i’m sure it wouldn’t distort it too much to balance it out
