Thanks for putting this up! This version of"Submarine Teams" is a real treat, Bob's vocal melodies really shine. And of course "Psychic Pilot Clocks Out", perhaps Bob's most anthemic song ever.
Well, since the Who is my all time favorite band, the title of this video offends me ever so slightly, but at the same time makes me smirk and laugh. GBV are plenty awesome, and i am very excited to be seeing them for the first time live next week. Long live rock! 12 minutes in, how the video got its title, funny AF
Crazy, i thought he just sang the melodies and tobin sprout or whoever cooked up chords and guitar parts for the songs. Gives me a whole different view of bee thousand and alien lanes and gbv as a band. Didn’t think he was a traditional singer songwriter until seeing this
@patricwr I think Bob and Tobe did collaborate in that way often But Bob tends to write nearly all of his melodies I think. If you check out the suitcases there's a mariad of demos of just Bob and acoustic
Demos de-lawyering is such a poetic way to start this doc
From The Porch:
1 Submarine Teams
2 Big Makeover
3 Big School
4 Cut Out Witch
5 Tractor Rape Chain
6 Strumpet Eye
7 Psychic Pilot Clocks Out
8 Far Out Crops
9 Strictly Comedy
At The Show:
10 A Salty Salute
Live Bonus Tracks:
11 Hot Freaks
12 Tractor Rape Chain
13 Shocker In Gloomtown
14 I Am A Scientist
15 Echos Myron
16 Liar's Tale
17 Motor Away
18 Peep Hole
19 Smothered In Hugs
Smothered in Hugs is one of my all-time favourite songs. Cool to see them play it live.
Demos was almost Tom Cruise-esque in his younger, attorney form. Then the moon comes out and he transforms into a rock monster.
😆 I met Demos along with the rest of Guided By Voices 2012 St. Louis...they couldn't have been more down to Earth
Thanks for upload this great documentary, it was once here and then deleted!
Just mind blowing to hear some random stalking about cigarettes while Hold On Hope plays in the background
I love Dayton.❤
Brought to you from some dudes on a porch in Dayton somewhere.
That's the Titus front porch. And those are the vampires on titus.

Sure! Bob lived at 2109 Titus Ave, hence this was recorded on his front porch. The same house that inspired Vampire on Titus's name.
The striped white pants
The Land Of The Breakfast People.
Inspirational and amazing! Thanks! GBV are the best band ever ❤

Outstanding video ‼️😍🔥🎸

Jimmy Mac rocked!
Thank you for posting!
Thank you for sharing.
Saw Demos split those pants at the free Austin concert in Waterloo Park.
Pretty sure there's footage of that on the "bob pollards rock show" dvd, where an arrow pops up and says "Greg's balls!"
THANK YOU
love
There my band. 🧑🎨♾️🎭
*they’re
Classic!
GBV forever
One of my favorite bands of all time has a fucking lawyer in the band I fucking love them
brilliant
God damn did Bob actually walk all the way back from Columbus to Dayton 😅
It's finally back up
Dude looks like a lawyer.
25:53 I wonder what song that is in the background.
Hold On Hope from Do The Collapse
what guitar is bob playing
Harmony hollow body. The Buzzing One Stringer.
I had no idea robert pollard played guitar until just now
Bob played guitar on most of the classic era albums I think, as well as tobin and mitch and jim

This is 1995? Alien Lanes era
1999 actually, Do The Collapse era and lineup
Who is holding the cam?!
Seems like its Matt Sweeney from Chavez
i believe its Matt Davis from Rockathon Records
