And this is why professor dan johns' 'armour building complex' is the best thing to learn when using kettlebells. Whether it be the original double kettlebells version, or the more modern single kettlbell version. This complex is THE bang for your buck.
Hi Jeff been using kettlebells for some years now. 54 years old and feeling fantastic I do a simple complex of exercises you have said swings cleans clean and press renegade lunges snatch single 24kg 1 minute of work 30 sec rest finish push up 100 10 sets of 10. 3x a week and 3x a week kettlebell flows16 kg for mobility feel fit as butchers dog. So yet it works. So why fix something that ain’t broken love your content 👍👍
Just to ask your opinion Geoff. I have seen one of your latest posts about people who respond for a living. I myself am a paramedic here in England 🏴 I’m just looking to keep fit and good health. Do you think it’s worth upping the weight to a 32kg once a week build it in slowly into my routine. Or stick with where I am. I’m 54 years old so just add it in slowly. What’s your thoughts
Just started my Week 1 day 1 of KB maximorum this morning. I think I'm going to love this program. Working on time is perfect for my lifestyle. It seems really well thought. I'll let you know how it goes :)
I have KB Strong. I have done the program with cleans and squats and am currently doing C&P. I’m pretty sure I will get a copy of the Giant after I get through phase 2 with C&P. But…. How would you program squats and presses into a program? If you released a program that included double cleans, squats, presses and pull-ups I would get it for sure.
I think I do Swings wrong. How much do I have to bend the knees when swinging the bell between the legs? Sometimes I feel I almost do a Squat when doing that
It will depend a lot on your body proportions. Ideally your legs won't bend but if you have shorter legs or arms then you'll inevitably have to. As long as you focus on keeping it a hip snap movement (hinge at the hips, squeeze the glutes, focus on your standing and table positions) you should be fine. I like to judo chop the hips back as a starting que. The wonderful thing about swings is doing them will naturally teach you how and you get a lot of chances to practice at high volume. In addition you can work with a coach and/or film yourself as an additional check
@danlokenespanol - Good question. As much as necessary to feel your glutes and hamstrings work. It depends on your body proportions and will vary from person to person.

@alexfage123 - Glad to hear it, Alex! Looking forward to your results.
The DFSQ works your entire body in my experience. I don't miss the barbell one bit...well maybe I miss Zercher Squats sometimes
@jasonwelsh417 - I agree with you 100% on DFSQ. It's a lift that has a high ROI. Right on about the Zerchers. Tough lift. Good for what ails ya'.
If you can fit your forearms through the kettlebell handle, you can perform zerchers with them.
@@duchaneaux Good call. I just tried it with my 48s and it felt great. Guess I am selling my Oly bar haha
What a wonderful video!
I 100% agree with it! 100% ROI!😄
@shantanusapru - Thanks!
Where can I buy your books about kettlebells, I have searched for them without success, Thank you, kudos for you.
@joelbx5126 - You can find most of them here: go.chasingstrength.com/shoppe/
Double squats also leave you breathless!
@iChefTheImpossible - Yes they can!

@shumardi1 - I have a program where I did exactly what you're asking. It's called, 'EASY MUSCLE.'
Good job what do you say to those who say kettle bells are a fade I have gone from 6kg to 20 within weeks so I know they work
@sweetvuvuzela4634 - I pretty much ignore those people. ;-] Great job!
@@GeoffNeupert 💪🏾💪🏾power to the kettle bell crew
How do you figure out your rep max with kettlebells safely?
@SeanBMT - Warm up, then rep out and stop when your speed drops and/or your technique changes.

Look at this video look at his knee bend. Also what other guy said
