And a few weeks later i could do 4 kg weighters walk. Then 4 kg clean&press. So to progress i bought 6,8,10 and 12 kg kettlebell so I could get back my normal kbs in all movements. Just when i was back on 20kg c&p injured the elbow at work. But this time i knew how to recover so it only took 4 months of wildman style rehab to come back to 20 kg. A month ago i tested pressing 24 kg and felt zero pain :-) Thanks Mark!

A bag / case with a molded indent inside a case to prevent kettlebell movement would be a worthy addition to your product line.
I moved into an apartment several years ago and found the previous owner left a 32 kg kettlebell behind. So here is my journey to 10 minutes of swing. First i built up to 5 sets of 1 min swing, 1 min rest. Each minute was nonstop swings. When i could do that i started on the following Year 1 January 1.5 minutes swing 1 min rest. 4 sets of 1 min swing/1 min rest February 2 min swing. 1 min rest. 4 sets of 1 min S/1 min rest. March 2.5 min swing. 1 min rest. 1.5 min swing. 1 min rest. 1 min swing/1 min rest × 3 sets. I kept up with this schedule adding 30 seconds per month. I would swing 2 days on/1 day off so in 30 days you got in 30 workouts. Each workout i got a bit better. For example, at the beginning of april it calls for 3 min. So i might not be able to go all 3 minutes so i set small goals of adding 5 seconds more of swings every workout. It looed like this Day 1 2min 35 seconds Day 2 2 min 40 seconds Day 3 rest Day 4 2 min 45 seconds Day 5 2 min 50 seconds Day 6 rest Day 7 2 min 55 seconds Day 8 3 min Day 9 rest Then do 3 min on work out days. Anyways, when i got to where i could swing for 5,4,3,2,1 with 1 min rest breaks. I started doing ladders 5 min swing/1 min rest 4min swing/1 min 3min swing/1 min rest 2min swing/1 min rest 1 min swing/ 1 to 2 min rest Repeat I got where i was doing 5-5,4,3,2,1 with 1 min rest. So 75 total minutes of swings and 25 min of rest.

The knee shouldn’t be extended with your joint explosively hitting bone on bone end range. Think about exploding with your hips/butt first and foremost, not about straightening the knees

200 snatches in 10 minutes with any weight is a ton of work so you can try to go higher but it might not be worth it. 200 snatches with the 24kg in 10 minutes is a very challenging goal for anyone. And you can snatch daily but you would want to alternate weights/work capacity by using heavy/light cycle. Two days of heavy mixed with 2 days light gives you 4x per week right there 👍
Are there particular KB complexes that snatches combine well with? I’ve used iron cardio with an additional snatch but i need some additional routines.
Geoff Neupert's Maximorum program alternates double clean and press / front squat days with single kettlebell snatch workouts. Hardstyle Kettlebell Pro on YT has the Rite of Passage Jurassic edition single or double kb clean and press with pullup ladders on one day and single kb snatches on off days. Mark probably has programs with similar ideas.

There's absolutely "fluff". I'd venture to say that 50%-ish of the movements the guy did in this video were momentum based & NOT strength based, or really strength building. This guy is using momentum for 99% of those momentum movements & then at the very end he's using strength to stop or slow the bell down. Most of the time he's just letting gravity bring it back down & then using momentum again to do the repeat movement. There's far better ways to build strength, stamina, endurance, & burn calories than to use momentum based movements that when you get used to it, actually do VERY LITTLE of anything important.
@ I’ve been doing kettlebells for approximately four years and I respectfully disagree. After physically training for my entire adult life and being 61 years old, it has become my foundation for strength, mobility, muscular endurance and revitalizing type-two muscle fibers. If it doesn’t work for you, do what works. 🤝
@@JosephTartaglia I can't comment to your training, but what was done in this video was heavily momentum based. Sure you'll get benefits from holding a position. You'll get wrist & static strength etc, but for the time involved, there's better use for it. It's akin to loading 5,000 pounds on the leg press & then holding your legs there with the safety stop off but NOT pressing it. You can do 10,000% more weight with holding it there than you can actual lift so it's a false sense of security that you're building. Then add momentum in instead of pressing it. That's doing next to nothing for you. You're better off pressing the weight without the momentum. Or reserving the momentum for when you can't keep strict form so you can get an extra rep or 2. Some of his stuff was good. The shoulder pressing was ok. The swinging stuff is a waste of time. You could be doing actual deltoid training for the time that those 200 reps take you.
@@Shuck-Shick-Blam Never done any KBing but the fact that momentum is employed isnt a bad thing necessarily. You're going to develop sustainable power rather than max strength. He did refer to it in the video as an 'endurance deadlift'. People who only do strength work are usually not very powerful for their size.
For the amount of people that do this for certs like rkc and sfg , I feel Kettlebell Sport competition (snatch especially)should be much more popular. Then again the snatch test has unlimited hand switches and KB sport 10 snatch comp sets only allow one hand switch. It makes it exponentially tougher.
on alternating hands, is there a reason to rotate kettlebell on the forward axis while at the top or is it just a different ergonomics preference for everyone?
I tried it 4 years ago at age 57 with 50lbs (22.7 kg) took 11 min 40 seconds for 200 Reps although I am 6'5" 181lbs so tall & thin (standing reach 8'4") thus each rep travels a long distance. Will try 40lbs 18.18kg for my 62nd Birthday next month!
Kung fu people sometime do a sort of one armed snatch for punching power. They didn't have KB's. they used an iron pot called a "kwang" (?) Put gravel in it for more weight. Of course, steel nuts or old wheel or bird shot would be way heavier than gravel.
I just can't get the hang of swing exercises with a kettlebell... I only use 2x Kettlebell for chest presses with a palm grip and snatch with two kettlebells (bottom up), and that's all. I use clubbells for all other swing stuff and mostly macebells for 360s... Is there anyone like me who strongly prefers CB and MB over kettlebells? If I want to use heavier things in a different way, I have a sandbag...
Fine motor control skills are greatly diminished when adrenaline is flowing so anyone would find it hard to reholster a pistol while trying control the principle and get them into a car or behind cover etc. Also, the SSST for women is done with a 16kg kettlebell which is no mean feat in itself and unless you have access to her training records, which I doubt, how do you know ? The short answer is you don’t, you just need to feel superior by tearing someone else down, it’s a common trait of losers like you who can quarterback from the safety of their couches.
The only thing I hate about snatches, I have very long arms and I am sick of getting hit in the forearm by the bell :) The snatches are quite easy to do but the beating is hard part :)) I prefer to do swings with the 36 kilos Kbell than to snatch even a 10 kilo one.
I tell women to get the Bells of steel mark 2 adjustable kettlebell (6kg to 12kg) That way you have all the weights a new female athlete would need. Saves money. Gives room to grow. And I know it fits the arm Improper Bell fit is a big issue with kbs from big box stores.
"The SSST rules are simple: it consists of doing as many snatches as possible in ten minutes. That's it. Unlike the rules for girevoy sport (GS), you may switch hands as often as you like, and you may set the kettlebell down whenever you want to. Men use a 24kg kettlebell and women use 12kg"
Gonna guess mark weighs about 100 kg making a 24 kg k bell 1/4 his weight. Shouldn’t the rec be to use a k bell roughly the same fraction of a person’s weight?
Don't beat yourself up about it. Majority of us is still below that weight. I am about a year down the wildman rabbithole. Started from 16kg and focused mostly on TGU, C&P, Squat and Swings. Am at 18kg now. Dont compare to Mark or anyone else but your former self. And be honest when you missed days/weeks/months because of injury, sickness or life. Those are not excuses but things that happen. Enjoy the non-linear journey!
Yes you do, don't let the bravado talk get you down. I'm skeptical to whether Wildman has completed the SSST himself, and it's not everyones goal either. Dan John, the strength coach, says that if you do it, it's a once in a lifetime ordeal. You can get so much benefit out of training with kettlebells from where you are at, with the intensity and volume that suits you.
@@ChiburiI was expecting to see Mark execute the full ten minute session, as I’ve heard him regularly state his ten and even twenty minute nonstop kb sessions. Mark’s detailed approach to his content is incredibly methodical and he’s an amazing orator / teacher. I don’t doubt his words are spurious about being able to execute these nonstop sessions. I’d welcome witnessing his ten and twenty minute nonstop sessions to observe the reality of such a Herculean physical challenge. I can imagine the mind body and soul goes up in flames after such a gruelling session. And then the dopamine high, endorphins rush. Followed by that later EPOC after burn. I regularly do 600 swings buts that made up 20 kg 10 sets 20 alternating swings, 24 kg 10 sets 20 alternating swings, and 28 kg 10 sets 20 alternating swings. This involves 30 second rests between each set. And this session is nasty fun! Sometimes I add stacking kb swings (2 kb in one hand stacked) 2 x 16 (32 kg) 10 swings each side + 1 x 20/16 (36 kg) 10 swings each side + 1 x 20/20 (40 kg) 10 swings each side + 1 x 24/20 (44 kg) 10 swings each side + 1 x 24/24 (48 kg) 10 swings each side. And that is a killer session. And allowing for approx. 30 seconds rest between each set this kind of session can take 80 - 90 minutes to complete. And I’m wiped out after that!
good exercises just don't agree with philosophy- too many reps in the same plane of motion - only have so much time so should be working all the planes for the time. 20 minutes of the same movement does not give most bang for buck
I agree. I love kettlebells and all of these exercises but in my own experience the high volume of reps can easily lead to overtraining, imbalances, and overuse injuries. I like a little more variety and make sure the KB is just part of a broader program. They are a great supplement to a barbell and/or body weight circuit.

Valery Fendorenko's pentathlon, multiple hand changes allowed, it's a more accessible entry into sports style maybe?
Where do you workout? Best gym/background ever!
Kettlebell AXE can be used -instead of one hand swings use snatches. Bust out ten, rest approximately 45 seconds bust out ten-repeat to 200 snatches
Better do some sloped roof training for secret service… you just never know when you might need it.
Too dangerous.
😂😂
Secret Service has been outstanding in terms of regrowing and completely healing the target's ear.
Savage!! Much appreciated!
on alternating hands, is there a reason to rotate kettlebell on the forward axis while at the top or is it just a different ergonomics preference for everyone?
OK ... I have some years of practice ahead of me ... 🙂
You can do it!
I tried it 4 years ago at age 57 with 50lbs (22.7 kg) took 11 min 40 seconds for 200 Reps although I am 6'5" 181lbs so tall & thin (standing reach 8'4") thus each rep travels a long distance. Will try 40lbs 18.18kg for my 62nd Birthday next month!
wondering how many of those tough looking secret service "agents" at that last notable event train with kbs...
@@bradowen9418 🤣🤣🤣
My first thought. The fumbling fumbilinas someone said. lol
Zero. Those were not SS - they were clowns.
Most of those were other DHS components detailed to SS.
The SS was augmented by HLS.
Man , thank you so 😂for these training videos.
what brands make the best quality adjustable competition kettlebells>\?
great instruction thank u
Ok i am 52 ive been working with kb for a couple years.
I also have some badass trucks.
But these Mad Max vehicles are awesome.
Kung fu people sometime do a sort of one armed snatch for punching power. They didn't have KB's. they used an iron pot called a "kwang" (?) Put gravel in it for more weight. Of course, steel nuts or old wheel or bird shot would be way heavier than gravel.
but how much MORE
CREDIT do you get for
doing em on a SLOPE??
I’ll say A lot . Face uphill
Love the wheels at 10:25, damn.
Clean an press. Got it .
Indeed
Can I do kettle bell and heavy club together?
Doesn't the SSST only allow one hand change?
I just can't get the hang of swing exercises with a kettlebell... I only use 2x Kettlebell for chest presses with a palm grip and snatch with two kettlebells (bottom up), and that's all. I use clubbells for all other swing stuff and mostly macebells for 360s... Is there anyone like me who strongly prefers CB and MB over kettlebells? If I want to use heavier things in a different way, I have a sandbag...
Follows your works is wonderful, but
my strength need to building up.
I’m going to try this tomorrow. I typically get 12/30 seconds with the 24kg.
That’s a good pace.
Good video👍👍
No way that chick in the secret service that couldn’t holster her gun passed this test
DEI for you!
Awesome!
Brutaly functional
Yeah, I saw the secret service in action in Pennsylvania. The only thing those ladies were snatching were donuts.
Can someone help me here - genuinely interested to try this.
But do I do all these exercises for 10 mins each? How long will that work out be?
What is that fancy twirling excercise he is doing at the beginning called?
This is a test worthy of warriors.
I just came here for the snatch 😊
The only thing I hate about snatches, I have very long arms and I am sick of getting hit in the forearm by the bell :) The snatches are quite easy to do but the beating is hard part :)) I prefer to do swings with the 36 kilos Kbell than to snatch even a 10 kilo one.
WITNESS!!
This seems like a brutal endurance test but I can train to get it with 20 kg. 24 kg is gonna take some time.
Good challenges !
What weight do you recommend for women?
I tell women to get the
Bells of steel mark 2 adjustable kettlebell (6kg to 12kg)
That way you have all the weights a new female athlete would need.
Saves money. Gives room to grow. And I know it fits the arm
Improper Bell fit is a big issue with kbs from big box stores.
@@MarkWildman Thank you
Am assuming that it’s ok to use a lighter weight if one can’t lift 24 safely??
Yes
I’m 61 and my kettlebell is 28kgs….think I need to consider downsizing 😂😂😂😂
yep
thumbnail 💯 😎
Snatch is a phuking muthuphuker...24k and above...SAVAGE...my brain hates even thinking about a kb snatch😢😂😂
Alright. What happened to that boxbed??
......make sure all your kettlebells/hammers/clubs/training partners are properly stowed and secured before travel.
Clearly T-Rex
The c30? It’s still here. Needs a new peapump
that is a hell of a work out..
Can you as well in a Garage?
Is this 5min per side?
"The SSST rules are simple: it consists of doing as many snatches as possible in ten minutes. That's it. Unlike the rules for girevoy sport (GS), you may switch hands as often as you like, and you may set the kettlebell down whenever you want to. Men use a 24kg kettlebell and women use 12kg"
Thats hard but good
Pavel GOAT
You need WAY more LEFT ARM/side demonstration of kettle bell skill. Left arm
Yet a gently slopped roof defeats them every time
Gonna guess mark weighs about 100 kg making a 24 kg k bell 1/4 his weight. Shouldn’t the rec be to use a k bell roughly the same fraction of a person’s weight?
I like kettlebell snatches. I bet you get Forrest Gump fast from working towards 10 minutes of nonstop snatches LOL
Any test of how to spot a guy with rifle on a roof seen and reported by 1000 people?
24 what? I don't belong here... 🧙♂
100 in 5 minutes is already enough to pass the SFG instructor standard... masters and female athletes may use lower weights

🔥
My best is 100 reps with 24 kg in 4,24 but 200 in 10 Minute is so much harder.
good exercises just don't agree with philosophy- too many reps in the same plane of motion - only have so much time so should be working all the planes for the time. 20 minutes of the same movement does not give most bang for buck
It is just a test.
Similar to running a 5k.
It's just a part of.overall training
@@ArturoMurilloMx did you watch the video. he talks about it as a workout
I agree. I love kettlebells and all of these exercises but in my own experience the high volume of reps can easily lead to overtraining, imbalances, and overuse injuries. I like a little more variety and make sure the KB is just part of a broader program. They are a great supplement to a barbell and/or body weight circuit.
i want to learn breathing durring swing
OMG is so HARD-CORE
10 min snatch can't put bell down use 50 lb
This is so weird I went to school with a guy named Mark Wildman I wonder what the odds are
I just want the blazer
I doubt those secret service hens "protecting" Trump could do even one rep
Pitbull?
Well we know the current DEI SS isn’t doing this test.
should be doing it barefoot or in barefoot shoes.
Do you really want to do anything the secret service does?
The old secret service
Wait are you guys checking your kettlebells in on a plane?
Yes
Respect but I really need to see someone run 10min with a 24 with good form. Emphasis on form, that seems unrealistic for 9 outa 10 peeps.
It is. That’s the reason to train
I did this exercise and now I'm gay.
Umm, the gals guarding Trump passed this PFT element?
This dude kettle bells all day and that’s the physique and level of strength he has to show for it? I wouldn’t spend much time on KBs
