Between you and Dan John, strength / mobility / conditioning concerns are addressed in a logical real world manner. Which is probably why I follow both of you.

I am clean and pressing double 24 kg ,every second day. In the workshop at my job I tighten Vice handle so strong that I broke the steel pipe with thread , that moves the moving part of the vice. Gerstmayr could not believe.

A clean into a thruster seems to hit all requirements for working posterior chain, shoulders, and, legs.

    Good info! Many thanks.
It's looking like I still need gym membership. Kettle bells are a dollar pound and I need to start light. I would have too much money in Kettle bells. I am convinced that they are the best exercises for me.

Hey Geoff, great video. I'm currently doing 15 minutes of the Giant 1.0, followed by 15 minutes of the DFSQ 3 days a week. I'm using 22kg bells and am seeing great results. Thanks for what you do.

Timely video as I was just thinking about this while cranking out sets of the double clean and press on The Giant 1.2 (insanely tough program btw)

I would also suggest most of us can comfortably clean more than we can press. Maybe it’s just me. But if I clean and press, my shoulders and arms are cooked, and my legs barely feel it unless I follow it up with a few more sets with higher weight just cleaning.

I'm doing Maximorum right now, into Week 3. This program is definitely tough, but I asked for it because I wanted to do kettlebell work for more than 3 days per week. I was missing more ballistic work when I did DFW, and Maximorum definitely feels like DFW + added Snatch workouts to me. While I enjoy doing Double Clean & Press a lot more than DFSQ, I still do squats even though I don't like them because my personal definition of "enough" to work my legs has to include some form of squats and/or lunges.
I really enjoyed doing "The Giant 3.0" to get used to my 5 RM kettlebell weight, and eagerly look forward to doing more of "The Giant" after finishing Maximorum because of the amazing physique changes that Double Clean & Presses provide for me compared to other kettlebell exercises. I'll likely try to squeeze in DFSQ's somewhere when I do it though. There's just way too much real-world applicability for me to not include it (lifting and carrying heavy objects at work, the store, around the house, etc.).
My Snatch count has increased from 138 reps on Day 1 to 180 reps today (Week 3 Day 4)! Clean & Press + Squats workout tomorrow!

    Great video sir!
One thing I think you missed (not a criticism because I know you know this is true) is the isometric load on the legs you get from heavy overhead pressing.
This is hard for a lot of people who have never pressed heavy weight overhead to grasp. Once you understand it you realize that the press is a movement that works every muscle in your body.

@drunknnirish - 100%. Funny, after I made the video, I realized I hadn't put that point in there. However, I think it may be lost on many, if not most, because most think the Press is a shoulder movement. It has to be cued, then felt, to be believed.

@@GeoffNeupert Hopefully one day we can get passed this looking at the body in muscle groups instead of as a whole.

I'm a 55 year-old male, not sure how much I weigh, maybe 100kg. Did Giant X1, Wk 1, Day 3 yesterday with 2x24. Got 54 reps. My legs today feel like I did a heavy squatting session. C&P works legs.

I've said this before, but if you can goblet squat a 48k bell, you're plenty real world strong.
