I’ve done this four or five times this job can seem overwhelming, but it’s not once you get into it. It’s good use cardboard to put all your bolts in the cardboard. You can draw a map and place all your bolts on your map made my life easy the newer clips come off easy. Did anybody notice that?

There is no need to take the phasers off to replace the timing chain all you have to do is pull the intake phaser solenoids and the chain comes right off... I just finished mine up the other day and more importantly new bolts must be used when the phasers are removed it appears you reused the old bolts... Of course I changed the phasers while I was in there but I didn't pull them off until after the chain was off

Why does it take about 8 hours to pull everything out and another 20 hours to install everything correctly; sounds about right! Will it Run just as good as a New Vehicle? So many components to be reinstalled and hopefully nothing leaks after the RTV is applied! You would think Ford would re-engineer a more easier engine than the present one! After everything is done a Road Test is Required that all the systems are operating correctly! Way to go FORD!

Hey everyone. I have a 2014 Taurus SHO 3.5 TT with 92k on it.. I have the spark plugs(Bosch 9697 iridium) and I’m pretty sure they are to originals. Other than the plugs, what else do I need to get to do the job? Do I simply pull the plugs and put new ones in? Or is there more to it than that? And is the side closest to the windshield tough to do? Thanks
