As a woman, my insides literally hurt imagining what she went through. That poor girl. He showed his character when they asked if he cleaned up the blood, and he responded, almost offended, that they asked! "What?! No!! It's her job to clean it up tomorrow! I had a hysterectomy and I remember the feeling of standing up after surgery and feeling my insides like, settling into place with the now lack of organ and tumors that were there. It was so painful and uncomfortable. And this…. I just can’t fathom. I literally can’t.

It is so disgusting what this man did to his girlfriend, but I find it equally disgusting how he literally blames his actions on her… Death penalty should be a no brainer here.
Honestly this is one of the few times where I actually don't want the death penalty. I want him to sit and rot and think about what he's done. To sit his life behind bars to contemplate the one thing that landed him in there for life. To think about the monster he is. I'm so disgusted, I don't want him to have an easy way out. Life is hard, death is easy.

Go with your gut ladies. I went out with a guy this past Thursday. Handsome, well spoken, good job, but something was off. We went out of a 2nd date… he was telling me how I should handle things and what I should think. I thought that was a bit bizarre. When walking me home he asked if he could come up for a glass of water. It’s NY. There’s a corner store every block to buy water. I told him I’ll walk him to buy some. He then asked for me to come home to his place. Something in me was just not feeling right so of course I said no. The following day (Saturday) I told him I wasn’t really interested. He said that’s fine and that we never have to talk again. So I said okay and hung up. He LOST IT. Called from multiple numbers and texted repeatedly. Left multiple voicemails demanding I talk to him. The next thing was someone ringing the buzzer to my building. Currently staying with a friend and have told everyone but I’m so glad I went with my gut. I’ve had guys ask me to come over and I’ve said yes a time or two but this just didn’t feel right for some reason. Not any particular reason I can point out, but just go with your gut.

@@JDOGFTW Exactly. I was honestly shocked at his reaction. Most men who say "go your own way" don't throw a fit when you actually do. You are probably right about this not having much experience with women. He works with the city, has a great job, and is very intelligent, but there was just something creepy about him wanting to come over and having the lamest reasons to do so. Quite frankly if he had been normal and respectful I probably would've invited him over this weekend but there were enough red flags to avoid that nightmare. I'm hoping he just leaves me alone. Sadly law enforcement sees no issue with someone repeated calling you or sitting outside your home. They have to wait 48hrs and IF that person physically does something then they step in. They need to rewrite that policy. I'm sure a lot of women have had outcomes like this video within those 48hrs.

As a former correctional officer it blows me away of the will to live these criminals have. They also have a strong desire to be humanely treated despite the disgusting things they’ve done to others in society.

It is ignorance. I didn't know what I was doing at age 19, went in to talk to the police voluntarily, not thinking I had done anything wrong. After they handed me papers for a court date, I realized I had made a big mistake. My ignorance landed me in jail for 3 weeks. A hard lesson, wish my parents had explained to me that the police aren't my friends.
The training of these detectives really shows in this interrogation. To be able to detach emotionally from seeing a horrific homicide and to stay calm to get a confession and even offering sympathy, food and cigarettes is amazing detective work.
It's called experience. They have asked him loaded questions. And him saying that everything that is broken, he did it; that is just an assumption, and they are pinning that to him. As the conversation continues, he says he really doesn't remember putting the holes in thr wall and the door, but he must have done it. That is not a confession, but the prosecutor will claim it.

He has said something g a few times, that is common in Spanish, "If I tell you yes, I'd be lying." He stumbles over it a little; not sure they caught it ea h time. But he means he doesn't know. Example. He assumes he broke all the glass. Who else could have done it? But in reality, he doesn't remember.

This is absolutely horrifying, to trust someone and have them take your life, especially in such a heinous way. No amount of alcohol makes a person do what he did. It’s unthinkable. I just feel sick. I applaud the officers for handling the interrogation so well.
That sounds like a blackout drunk. If you have enough of the right kind of alcohol, you can do lots of things and not remember it the next day!

He spoke the truth when he first said the argument was about her wanting to leave to Peru and that she missed her mom. He made up ‘wrong name’ story because he felt he would receive some pity, rather than if he confessed he did it because she wanted to break up with him

I suspect that he had always been jealous of her ex. This happened to me. He was so jealous of him for no reason. I don't know what made him obsessing about the other ex because I hadn't been in contact with that ex for years. Its like he was delusional. He talked about knowing I've been seeing this ex and that the ex contacted him. This always made him angry. So many times he threatened to kill me because of something that he made up in his head. When it came to the point when he was choking me and almost stabbing me, I knew I had to leave.

I have so much respect for investigators. Having to pretend that the person sitting in front of you just made a ‘mistake’ when they did the unimaginable must be really unsettling. But they do it for good reason, the family deserves to know exactly what happened.

I doubt she was conscious while he did all the worst parts of this. There may have been yelling/screaming/fighting but it may have been a normal occurrence to hear things like that. I dont think someone can be alive and awake while .... THAT ... is happening to them. Not unless they are tied down and gagged or something. What he did was overkill. I would HOPE she wasnt alive for what happened to her. If you did that in a blind fury of anger drunkenness and now somebody’s presenting these pictures to you and you truly have no understanding of what you did in that fury but now the truth is in front of you, one you wouldn’t be able to look at those pictures and you would break down and be absolutely in tears and destroyed knowing that you did such a monstrous thing. He has absolutely no remorse. He stares right at those pictures- he would be absolutely destroyed looking at those pictures knowing that he tortured and brutalized this girl that he supposedly loved. There’s nothing there.
I think people are more complex than that honestly. Some people would break down, some would be in shock, some would block it out. Real life isn't always the way TV writers wrote the script, or whatever you're basing this on in your head.

I am an avid Crime Story Watcher and reader. I have heard so many stories BUT this ☝🏾 right here shows a level of EVIL in humanity that I pray I never have to hear or see again. This woman did not deserve what happened to her. NO living creature deserves what this POS has done. And to blame it on Tequila is just a slap in the face. He did exactly what he wanted to and I am sure he would have done it sober too. Life is too good for him!
Yeah, this is not just a "drunk accident" this level of trauma requires serious intent, both force and dexterity.

When he was asked about the blood on the floor and was he planning on cleaning it up, his answer of “clean it up? Me? No, it was hers to clean up in the morning” is very telling (start listening at 1:05:00 it will come before 1:06:00). Total disassociation of feelings of empathy there. He has a complete disconnect going on with simple humanity.

The only thing that supersedes my complete horror and disgust with this pos, is my respect for these detectives. I don’t think I have ever been so impressed with how not only one but both detectives handled themselves. Imagine having to keep an unwavering demeanor sitting across from this monster for hours WHILE vocalizing and depicting the horror of everything in a gradual manor like he just picked up a shoplifting charge and applying empathy and understanding at the perfect moments. I’m in awe of their composure and badass ability to get their horrifying jobs done.

My theory - she said the ex’s name, he lost it and went on a rampage destroying the house. She shut herself in the closet from fear. He removes the closet door to get to her. He knocks her out (I pray she was unconscious for all of it) and then the objects all happen and then he panics, drags her to the bathroom. Realizes what he’s done, washes up, smokes a cig and then calls 911. After he hangs up with 911 he goes and covers everything up and washes / cleans up more.
As sick as this crime was, but I think you're right and this is how it happened.
That was brutal to hear what he did to her, and I can’t even imagine the pain and agony she was going through. Props to those two detectives for keeping their calm and having to deal with all of that. Prayer them as well. When they showed him the pictures, he went up so close to it couldn’t stop looking at those pictures. You would think (in my opinion) that since he claims he didn’t mean to do it, didn’t mean to hurt her, he wouldn’t want to look at those pictures, but it seemed as if he couldn’t stop looking at the work he has done. SMH. Prayers to the Nemeth family.

I read in the comments that the glass door was broken, and the victim had serious head injuries as well as the internal horror story. She had no chance. Saying he was drunk and couldn't remember was an excuse, as his memory was excellent at the start of the interview, and he explained his background in detail with no difficulties. I suspect the victim decided to end the relationship, and he decided that wouldn't be happening, and that she wouldn't be making any more decisions. He tried from early on to claim what happened was all her fault 😢xx

This is one of the most horrendous and grotesque crimes that I have ever come across. As a woman I could not even begin to imagine the pain she must have felt. I sure hope that She was unconscious and too intoxicated to realize or feel what this monster was doing to her!! . Such a disturbing crime. One I will never forget. I can’t believe after seeing the crime scene photos that not one neighbor called for help. The way the entire apartment was destroyed, several people must have heard the destruction as it was happening.
I am 67, I have never heard of anything like this except Braveheart, this will haunt me forever, poor lady, no one deserves anything like this.

Neighbors heard one yell and then nothing. And then the downstairs neighbor heard some thumping, and one very loud thud, but didn't think too much of it since it ended after the thud.
BTW, police can lie a bit about things, including telling him that he was heard screaming for hours. I haven't found anything to back that up, just that he did this and destroyed the apartment. Which, to me, makes it so much worse if he's truly doing it quietly.

I watch alot of true crime documentaries, police interrogations, trials, stories, etc, and I think this is the longest it's taken me to get through a video. It has literally taken me all day, I've needed constant breaks from it because it was just too much to take in in one go and now I'm finished, I think I need to take a break from them for a while. Without a doubt one of the worst murders I've watched about, quite simply horrible.
There’s no way a person who’s just unconscious, but under no anesthesia medication, will not wake up with that kind of pain. He had already choked her out and then dragged her into the closet. He said she never screamed or said stop you’re hurting me, etc…. I guess not… because she was already dead.
He put her in the bathroom away from the closet before calling 911, but he had enough wherewithal to cover up her intestines and stuff in the closet first.
The cops suspect they started screwing in the kitchen/dining room where they found her panties. This was deliberate and intentional murder. Evil ppl in this world.

i watched the whole 3hr interrogation, and this man showed no remorse at all, not when he recalled the act, not when he saw the pictures, not when he was told he is under arrest. he is not guilty of what he did, but guilty that now he got caught. my heart goes out to the victim, her family and fidel's kids. the torment they have to grow under with the world knowing what their father did, and them seeing this a few years later is horrific.
i’m not really surprised that he feels no remorse. his reasoning for doing what he did is completely justified in his mind, so of course he’s not going to feel like he did something wrong

I saw zero remorse. He repeatedly mentioned how he doesn't want to go to jail, there was zero emotion from him and he conveniently forgot anything that incriminated him until pushed for 2 hours and then finally started to "remember"

So good for minimizing the crime so it doesn't sound that bad, and so this guy doesn't seem like the monster he clearly is, and making the detective seem like an understanding ally. All making it more likely he'll confess. Love to see effective interrogations being used. They may not always get the suspect to confess, but it increases the odds exponentially.

I went through domestic violence for 7 years, my ex would always take me to the closet to beat me up because when you live in an apartment complex, if you're inside the closet there's no way you're going to be heard if you scream for help
What kind of Fort Knox apartments do you live in that no one could hear you in the closet? Any apartment I’ve ever lived in, to some extent, your able to heard noise. Be it your own or other neighbors.
Staying for so long can be dangerous cuz if you don't kill him one day then he might kill you. Then it's a very big problem.

It took me 10 years to recover from all the trauma, I still have PTSD where I don't remember a lot of things. Many people unconsciously erase from their memory everything that caused them harm and thus come out of depression faster, although when there are things that you remember it is when they have panic attacks, in my case I unconsciously erased the good memories instead of the bad ones. And because of that, not only did it take me more years of my life to get out of depression, but I lived with anger, bitterness, and also had panic attacks, when I was in small rooms, I think it was because of the closet. Responding to the other person's question, I don't know if it was the apartments or if I was heard but nobody cared to intervene, but now I remember that he would say that in the closet nobody would hear me

They create a Circle or per say boundary that the victim can't break way from. I literally compare it to slavery and their master or It can be compared to a religious cult. It's a type of brainwashing on the victim. The abuser forms their own occult to hold the victim in their power.
Once the victim is able to break away from the abuser's power it takes a lifetime to overcome the damage.

I once worked for the Census part time and I use to go door to door to those individuals who had not yet completed their census to help them complete it. I knocked on one door and he invited me to come it to complete it. I went inside and there was a lady sitting on the couch. I sat down and he proceeded to strike a conversation. The lady just sat there watching us and never attempted to enter into the conversation. She just watched. At one point he starts talking about how he did something to his TV and was able to get free channels from other countries. So he gets up and says he wants to show me and that it is in his I bedroom. I got up and followed him and as I put one foot into the bedroom I felt these chills through my body. I stopped and as I quickly turned my head back the lady (who had not said a beep through out and had quietly sat there) had gotten up and was almost right behind me at the bedroom entry. I stepped out of the bedroom door and away from her and I left. The funny thing is that he told me he had not completed his census yet which is why he asked me to come in and I obliged but that was not true. He had completed it two days prior but our system had not caught up yet. Now looking back I think he tried to get me in the bedroom and her job was to block me from leaving. Had I not listened to my body god only knows. Follow those instincts.

This is one of the most horrific crimes I've ever heard of. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of pain and terror that woman must have experienced. I can understand the guy being upset about her slip of the tongue, but to attack her the way he did. My God! How could anyone be that wicked. It's like he was possessed! This is some demonic sh$t! I am single mostly because I don’t ever want to bring guys around my child. But this sh!+ solidifies the need to stay single so I can keep my guts inside my body. This is absolutely horrific. I can’t imagine the pain and fear she felt as she died.

I’m just praying to god she was already dead or unconscious. I hope she didn’t feel all that crap he did to her. This was sick and disgusting on a whole new level. I struggled watching listening also. I actually started this video a week ago and quit watching. Came across it again today and it picked up where it left off. Just sick. Horrendous. Despicable.

The patience these 2 detectives possess dealing with this guy blows my mind. There were so many times during this interrogation I would've thrown in the towel , but not these 2. When the detective said that "maybe he couldn't rise to the occasion" I couldn't help but laugh. Humor always helps, especially in the darkest of times.

This has to be the worst case that I've come across to date. The detectives did a good job at delving deeper and getting more truth out of him but I wish they had asked more questions and created a better timeline of events, it's a bit all over place. Shocking nonetheless, I cannot begin to fathom what this poor poor woman went through. This is true evil, sadistic. Let him rot.
