    The damn 1000 page service manual has absolutely nothing about this cover removal. It is simple but yea I say that lightly. Thx man much appreciated

    Personally I never stress my chain breaker...I always just grind the pins first and then push em out easy peasy....as far as using BOLT cutters? That is an expensive tool TOTALLY not appropriate to cut hardened steel! It WILL destroy you bolt cutters sooner or later! I broke the jaw on an expensive Rigid brand bolt cutters cutting hard steel....learned my lesson! LOL ....I use bolt cutters on soft steel or small diameter stuff but anything hard and at all substantial? GRINDING takes only a minute...I just use an old 4" body grinder to save the pins on my chain tool....can even use a dremel but they are too damn slow for that

      If you don't buy your bolt cutters from Harbor Freight, it will be OK. A Grinder gets debris all over the shop. Worst tool for the job. Keep your work space clean. You don't get paid to clean.

    I dont even use grease on my axles....I just wipe em down with motor oil....tires dont last so unfortunately that axle aint gonna be in there long enough to corrode.... damn it! LOL....So personally I think a light film of motor oi is more than adequate on sport bike

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marine grease is the best solution. If it is good enough to protect your boat trailer backing in and out of salt water, it will protect you axles. Most riders who come here are wearing out tires once a year. Extra protection is needed. Oil would drip off the axle in a year and make the inner hub nasty.

    Great video, thanks! Wondering if you’ve ever seen a case where the sprocket popped out of the hub and the heads of the sprocket bolts grind into the swing arm. It happened in my R1 and am wondering what failed.

    • @RideWNC
      @RideWNC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the left spacer is missing, that is the only way the sprocket bolts can hit the swing arm.

      This was before COVID. Life was better before everyone got lazy and wants $$$$ for doing nothing. 15.00 minimum wage hurts all of us. Minimum wage was meant to get new people into the work force, not provide for a family by working at McDonald's. Americans are the dumbest people on the planet.

      I did this video just to show folks how to use the tools. I use a big set of bolt cutters and pop the chain right off. Grinding gets the shop dirty. Some of my other videos show how easy bolt cutters are.

      @@RideWNC oh i know i usually use bolt cutters myself, it was just for the people who may break their tools in doing this obviously you know what you're doing haha, once again great content man.
