Use your plus frames , you landed a hatchet? Df1 check you landed d2 , f3 check he blocked you are still neutral, landed 1 or 1 2? B1 they block you still plus , d2 delay 3 , from my experience, the more you keep them blocking and minus they will likely to press, so after long pressure use the d2 delay 3 , 1 2 delay 1 , df 2 delay 3 , there is high chance they will press after being pressured for some time, also when you got them at wall if you hit df2 1 , or a hatchet or jab, and you landed it, use 12 4 if they press the wallsplat, you can ss into b4 into full combo, i personally love the parry setups, i have big parry hit chance on wall leading into combo , I just got tekken god , havent touched any other character.

Sort of the same philosophy with Snake Edge threat. The + gets into the offender's head and a df2 gets me a launch or a measly 4,3 punish... I get damage. You get some licks. Good trade.🙂
I learned how Bryan works just by watching JimmyJtran and Knee in Tekken 7. I remembered the match between Knee (Bryan) vs Chanel (Eliza) with the multiple walls and balcony stage. Got me to play him.
Law enjoyer, here. I play this game very impatiently, lmao. I'll put some time in the lab with Bryan, hopefully build up some better fundamentals. Thanks for the guide, Swe.
To all new bryan players... ignore taunt. Until you get to blue ranks, just ignore it completely. The only taunt setup i would recommend is taunt into heat smash because for some reason it's very bufferable. I got to tekken king without doing a single taunt jet upper. (Did a lot of taunt b4 and taunt heat smashes tho.)
I don't think you can buffer the heat smash during taunt I think it's just easier then most since you don't have to do a direction on the same frame as pressing a button
@@JobeLovo i can tell you for a fact it's bufferable. It's so noticable. I can literally press heat smash right after taunting and it will combo. It's easier than taunt 1,4 or 4,3.

Tekken 7 my first tekken , I started king cause he looks so cool - saw JimmyJ on Bryan and saw the double knees, the taunt, the reward of difficulty quickly became my main. It was Bryan 7 for me w sum fun on Jack or Marduck. T8 Bryan is the only character, everyone else just doesn’t hit the itch.
I started with Jack but he plays too differently between the two games so I dropped Jack 8 for Victor… then Yoshi… then Raven… and then back to Victor after another failed attempt at picking up Jack. Now I main Victor and second main Yoshi.
Just having to actually think in this game and say “what just happened how should I follow up, should I stay keep out or apply pressure” versus just unga bunga mode while difficult, I’m sure it’ll teach me to play with better fundamentals. Yes difficult, but probably hella rewarding when done correctly.
In older games, yes he doesn't have much in lieu of panic buttons. -I'm of the opinion that orbital kinda is but whatever man let's just say it isn't for some reason- In THIS game? Protip: uf3+4 is -7 on block, and decently fast at i16, and is a jumping low crush in the neutral. It even evades some mids lol. It also connects at a range futher than his df2 so it's tricky for the opponent to "just float this with a jab bro". People need to start abusing raw uf3+4 more in a panic situation. It also has some tracking too(times sidewalks in either direction beat it though, but the context here is you're using it as a panic move to steal your turn) and on hit it gives a knockdown into oki(+8 and you gain Snake Eyes). You're literally free to throw out 3+4, SE 2 after and this is especially cancer + ebola at the wall lol. Oh and you know that db3 > FCdf4 flowchart TMM shows in this video? You can do db3 > uf3+4 as the standing version of that flowchart. It gets even better when they assume you're gonna do a 2nd low after your db3 hits and they try to panic hopkick, and the uf3+4 hits them mid air and gives you a combo because this thing is a tornado/bound lol.
Orbital isn't a panic button. It's like 23 frames, so slow and only avoids lows. So you can only really use it as a hard read to beat lows. Generally good panic buttons are evasive to highs, some mids and lows because the move has so much sideways or backwards evasion. So they will be able to get you out of mix ups and pressure. Also they may cause the opponent to hesitate since they are afraid of their move getting evaded. Feng uf2, Feng b3+4, Leo db3, Leo f2+3, Victor heat u1+2, Claudio uf4, Yoshi spin and flash are good panic buttons. Asuka b3, Lili d3+4, Dragunov qcb2, Jin and Devil Jin u4 backflip move are also good ones since while launch on block, they launch on hit.
@CosmicVoid420 I already prefaced my comment by saying "let's say it isn't" regarding the orbital. -even though Devil Jin's b3 is i29 and people still count this as a panic move too because of the aforementioned evation, orbital being i24 is whatever, but I've already made my peace with people feeling it's "not" a panic move, so idk why we're focusing on it here instead of uf3+4.- What about uf3+4 then. It's i16 and fits everything you said about what you feel panic moves are. And Bryan can just throw out this thing with barely any risk.
