@@bruhmoment8326 I disagree a little bit. On the one hand, yeah you can spam B2,4 and dickjab ws1+2 and pummel the brainlets to death, I suppose that teaches you what it feels like when the other guy is against the ropes, but on the other hand you can at least maintain spacing and hit them with demon paws and things like that, something that will translate to higher ranks better. Hey MainManSWE, love the videos, had to say that I found your how to coaching series very enlightening and it changed the way that I view and play Tekken, I originally gotten to the middle of the orange ranks with Ling but felt as if I only really got there because not many people that I fought seemed to know the match up or just can't block her DF 3. I picked up Jin after watch your eight minute video about him with a focus of fundamentals and practicing what you talked about having a game plan in mind and waiting to see what my opponent is doing and I've noticed improvements in my own game play, that and 1 3 4 with Jin is a scrub killer in the beginner ranks, people blowing their load when they have heat etc, gotten some plugs and people that don't rematch. But overall I am loving Tekken hope I get to play some matches with you at some point. Thanks again MainMan.
This really helped me out with Lili, was trying to do combos with her when all my opponents were doing was spamming moves, after watching this video I decided to spam Lili’s moves and it really helped, I got to brawler rank with a 17 win streak.

It's a long journey. He has a couple quality of life improvements in this game but he's still sorely lacking a 15f easymode standing launcher, pokes, and now a long range punisher.
@@Dallas4090 I will say FF2 makes fighting cheese backsway characters a lot easier now. Trying to fight Feng in T7 was absolute aids because you had no safe, deep striking mid to deal with his backsway bullshit. F+3 was even slower, and that's all you had as an option select.
Tip for Asuka players in low rank. Please start with parry move. As soon as you hear that "Fight" sound press parry and thank me for free dmg. People in low ranks start mashing quick moves as soon as round starts Edit: Ok obviously dont start EVERY round with it. Just one of the three rounds you play against opponents. 60% of the players start mashing 1,2 as soon as round starts and they will get parried, those who dont start with it and see you parry, forget that it lasts for about 2 seconds. They wait a bit then try to hit you and still get parried. Obviously this will not work in high levels
I even saw a yellow Asuka parry after every hit but that okay style doesn’t go far It’s just easy to smash them when you know they’re about to do hit Hit them parry. Hit them parry. A yellow Asuka is the same except they just hop kick when you go low Then they go back to the parry when you start to play normal
I'd recommend against this because this will become a bad habit and if someone is smart or cautious they will see you parry and can punish accordingly or atleast do a big attack that'll hit hard
@@falconofthenight008i agree. ive seen enough asukas at ryujin who were complete booty because they spammed parry like this even at that level. it will be worse since u cant chicken so itll likely be a bad habit for a lot of asukas
Like a few other player said here, don't do this. Parry is awesome if they punch or kick into it, but you can easily get hit low, or unbreakable grabbed out of it. Even low rank players will figure that out eventually.
As a completely new tekken player, I'll mention the arcade quest mode actively teaches you to string heat engage into heat smash early on and really never goes deep into the benefits of heat.
Honestly this is better than a formal tutorial video. I'll try swallow my fear and hit ranked with Asuka (don't hate me). I think it would be worthwhile to redo the series for the next wave of begginners and intermediates when the "more seasoned" players filter through.
Good video. Cracks me up that 20 minutes of it is good advice for a beginner and the rest is, "yeah i have to play normal." Sums up the online rank experience.
Thank you for the advice! Spammers can be really demoralizing. As a beginner though, I'm worried that if I just use these two moves to cut through the low ranks, suddenly I'll be at high ranks where this no longer works, but I'll be playing against players who are so much better than me that it will be difficult to learn because I'm getting absolutely blasted because all I know how to do is two moves that don't work anymore. Would it not make more sense to try and learn your fundamentals and implementation of your good moves at a lower rank where you aren't going to be crushed for being kind of bad at it?
Personally, I think if you know the fundamentals well enough to utilize "2" safe moves, then you are probably decent in general. I think that the 2 moves technique is good for just getting wins against spammers. Against regular players, I think it's better to play how you normally play.
You can and that's how I got better but it will take a long time and you'll have to have a good mindset when doing this because trust me, you will get absolutely obliterated. You will have to approach every match with the goal of learning something new and test what moves that your opponent does is punishable. To test if it is, use your fastest attack that your character has which in the case for Kazuya, it's 112 which comes out at 10 frames. When it is punishable, start experimenting with other moves in your arsenal that come out even slower to see if you can get an even more damaging punish. This is the approach I took but it will take time and only with experience will you eventually get much better at the game.
That's when you start learning how to get better, these two moves are just a starting point and an example of how you can play. You add more moves and tactics later
This lesson about adapting to the level you’re facing and focusing on simple and effective setups is really sinking in, as someone who defaults to trying to replicate a semi high level looking playstyle but can end up eating shit to beginners. Thanks
This is great. My biggest issue with the game right now is actually finding opponents in ranked. Takes so long. And when i do, it makes losing feel really bad.
Everyone saying TMM is bullying these spammers but really he's teaching them a valuable lesson. Spamming only gets you so far. Maybe he is actually saving people from continuing to spam?
@TrollFaceLaunch0 yeah maybe that was kinda mean how iworded that maybe you would've preferred I say they just keep going but it's OK to realize not everything is for everyone. If losing to someone better than you enough to make you stop then you probably don't have business messing with that thing. At least not seriously (ranked).

Lmao bro seeing Kaz wavu wavu must be terrifying as a beginner. That's one of those things that alone shows the player is skilled even for those who probably don't even know what it is.
I also go into Tekken like TMM, like a noble teacher… who drops 3 rounds while thinking I still have that advantage then is forced to mash if they want to see tomorrow I’m at orange atm but it’s just sad how quickly my calm and studious mentality is turned into 50/50 fiending Part of what makes these guides hard to follow is that you also know when to block and when to interrupt A player that doesn’t know what’s coming might feel forced to press buttons if a low has got them in the past It’s not so easy to know when you can afford to be patient
1:01:30 not sure if TMM realizes but the arcade quest teaches you the heat burst + heat smash as the very first combos. as a noob myself it took me a while to realize i should prolly try to use heat a little more efficiently, but thats why so many do it i imagine.
I totally agree with the point about players that pick certain characters seem to only be interested in people getting blown up by their main flows. Sometimes even when i got beaten, because i didnt go down easily, they wouldnt rematch! Its just soo crazy to me! How are u going to get better if u only play people u can just blow up easily?? I mean even if you're just playing for fun! Well you're not playing for fun if u do that in my opinion, your playing to try and show off to people that dont understand Tekken... the 'my rank is the only thing that matters' players , I think anyone that understands about tekken knows that rank does not tell the whole story at all.
Thx to your video there was attack of Kazuya clones trying to mimick your play style. I didn't have to worry about hellsweeps when climbing rank with June. Got to Shinryu with her. 😁
That Lili let you get away with murder. He hesitated when you wave dashed in his face constantly instead of punishing you for it. He's crazy patient though.

This is the first tekken I've gotten into, and I am really struggling to find content that is geared towards newer players beyond just Heat explanations. This has been so much more useful, and I hope that you continue this series. Probably doesnt help that I am trying to main Reina
I think a healthy way to progress is to play w some friends. If they do something u really can't grasp to punish or avoid, ask em about it. That or add ppl from casuals u find good, most ppl on PC are willing to talk
03:36 ah yes , I bet T8 wasn't impressed with Knee, Arslan or JDCR or Anakin either and quoted Cyborg Mr.X from SOR3 "You play this game like a beginner" and they all got beginner rank
Can you please comment on TAA? Providing more Anti-Aliasing options in the games settings would allow for better game clarity during motion. It is my hope that increased awareness about this will help grease the wheels and help make Tekken an even better product for us all to enjoy
Main man is right in that you don't need to play high level tekken to get through the lower levels. But if you rank up only using the spammable strings or moves, you won't be learning the skills you need to be a good player

Thanks
everybody gangstar till that lili combatant with the neutrals comes up lol
This is great. My biggest issue with the game right now is actually finding opponents in ranked. Takes so long. And when i do, it makes losing feel really bad.
Idk even at 4am i'll find opponents in yellow Rank EU between 10-30 seconds
Everyone saying TMM is bullying these spammers but really he's teaching them a valuable lesson. Spamming only gets you so far. Maybe he is actually saving people from continuing to spam?
I think he’s saving them from playing Tekken anymore lol
@theDiReW0lf honestly that's just fine too. Tekken doesn't need them.
@@Ekim2F94yikes
@TrollFaceLaunch0 yeah maybe that was kinda mean how iworded that maybe you would've preferred I say they just keep going but it's OK to realize not everything is for everyone. If losing to someone better than you enough to make you stop then you probably don't have business messing with that thing. At least not seriously (ranked).
@@Ekim2F94I also think it’s lame af you can’t rank down until yellow ranks. They do shit like that to make noobs feel better, but once they realized the ranking system has been lying to them the whole time, what good is it for anyone? Stupid.
holy moly im better than mr swe confirmed ( i am green and he is blue )
Me too! (I'm a Lord of Destruction Rank)(no I'm not)
I don't know if I'd consider a beginner combo to include double electrics lmao
"We take the punish, into our beginner combo" - Which started with 3 dash EWGF's xd i feel so bad for this king, promotion and everything. For the greater good i suppose.
Even with the frustration of lower rank spam, there’s so much in this game I’m having so much fun regardless
Crouch jab and focusing on punishes makes lower ranks good practice. Then there’s learning king’s throws…
Picked up Tekken 2 days ago. Playing Dragunov because he’s cool. I get beat by fast string Reina players. This was really good advice.
Here i am as a Reina who’s never beaten a Drag lmao
@@riastradhFr Drag has been my Tekken character rival for Part 8. Once I got caught by his snakeedge once I was at the results screen lmao. Its been real fun
Use back 4 2 1 , 1 2 1 and down back 4 (snake edge) as some early tools to help in the chaos
@@yugison it’s always fun when you see a low come at you in slow motion and suddenly you’re at the rematch screen
The name of this video should just be “why sidestepping is important”
Do another video going through the ranks doing the same thing without sidestepping and see how far you get it would be interesting to see
That Lili plays a lot like I do, to the point where I could predict the moves she was gonna throw out a few times. Hearing TMM compliment her gave me 2nd hand confidence boost lol
Lmao bro seeing Kaz wavu wavu must be terrifying as a beginner. That's one of those things that alone shows the player is skilled even for those who probably don't even know what it is.
Love these tutorial steams. Need more of them 😃
Was watching this video when my first fight stick arrived at the door. T8 is gonna be fun.
This is the craziest king.... Then I immediately noticed the King's username.
I also go into Tekken like TMM, like a noble teacher… who drops 3 rounds while thinking I still have that advantage then is forced to mash if they want to see tomorrow
I’m at orange atm but it’s just sad how quickly my calm and studious mentality is turned into 50/50 fiending
Part of what makes these guides hard to follow is that you also know when to block and when to interrupt
A player that doesn’t know what’s coming might feel forced to press buttons if a low has got them in the past
It’s not so easy to know when you can afford to be patient
1:01:30 not sure if TMM realizes but the arcade quest teaches you the heat burst + heat smash as the very first combos. as a noob myself it took me a while to realize i should prolly try to use heat a little more efficiently, but thats why so many do it i imagine.
ive watched a couple of your videos but 14:40 - 17:06 is what made me subscribe xD
Lol, that paul player was so "legacy" he forgot he was playing tekken 8. Didnt press a heat move the whole set 😂😂😂
That's the first Zafina I've seen in ranked
Thanks, Mainman. This proves useful as it allows me to use different tactics and change things up a bit.
“I also look like a spammer right now”
Brother you don’t just look like it😂
I totally agree with the point about players that pick certain characters seem to only be interested in people getting blown up by their main flows.
Yeah you literally can't get better without losing
The lili match before hitting brawler "Stand proud you are strong" moment😂
That twitch notification at 01:40 perfectly synced with Kazuya
19:13 pause…
45:08 “I’m going to play normal now”
Into the stratosphere part 2 starts
I literally started to cry laughing when "hes not a begginer" at 45:00 and the "real match" started LOL
Top tier main man keep up the good work
OK as a filthy new player this was wonderful. I was always looking for a pattern, always looking for a constant opening, but there wasn't one it's as random as when I push buttons. Blocking really is the smartest thing to do at this level.
would love to see this kind of a video but with jin
d2 should carry you to at least orange, that move only being -12 is stupid and it's also a high crush ch launcher
that poor zafina getting spammed by that string 😂😂
The rematch on the lili player was brutal haha
Wrong title! Coaching Kazuya: how to play beginner ranks
Hope he uploads his Rejna ranked play, I made the mistake of subbing during the special style Jin it was absolute comedy but he was never going to see it.
are you doing to make a tekken 8 in 8 minutes for all the other characters as well? loved that content :)
Like how he lost a round to king 20 minutes in and took a massive steaming revenge dump next round to put him back in place LMAO
i think the king at 31:45 tried to bait you into attacking him during the jaguar sprint
That or add ppl from casuals u find good, most ppl on PC are willing to talk
little bit weird that this video comes AFTER the Intermediate Coaching series
03:36 ah yes , I bet T8 wasn't impressed with Knee, Arslan or JDCR or Anakin either and quoted Cyborg Mr.X from SOR3
"You play this game like a beginner"
and they all got beginner rank
I watched this live, one of the best streams yet
Can you please comment on TAA? Providing more Anti-Aliasing options in the games settings would allow for better game clarity during motion.
It is my hope that increased awareness about this will help grease the wheels and help make Tekken an even better product for us all to enjoy
Ranked got much harder. I managed to get Garyu, almost at Shinryu. People at red ranks can already play well.
like a true father he hides his power level
Main man is right in that you don't need to play high level tekken to get through the lower levels. But if you rank up only using the spammable strings or moves, you won't be learning the skills you need to be a good player
I almost died laughing during the Zafina match. Thank you TMM
“This guys is strong player” proceeds to perfect him 😅
HELL YEAH WERE GOING GARYU RANKED MATCH
Imagine sweating your balls fighting someone good and being so happy getting a round off them only to find out they were more focused giving advice for a youtube video 😢
MF you played my cousin in your first T8 ranked lmaooooo
I felt sorry for the king player, his like "damn his brother takes over the controller" 😂
Lol the fact that you can see when the opponent activate special style.
It's literally the spam signifier
Fantastic guide, very helpful!
Oh yes, I also put "emotionless passion" as the main menu theme to honor tekken 2 Kazuya ^^
I love how he not shitting on these players. If they hit him with something good, he says it. The mentality is inspiring
What, is it normal to be a pissy loser?
Love your videos finaly bought the game and started practicing kazyu i was king player in tekken 7 but kazy is so baddass had to pick him this time 8)
19:14 thanks to this now I hit vanquisher 👏👏
Talking about how beginners play this is the exact same thing in actual martial arts, by the way, just turned up to eleven. Non-fighters will throw themselves at you and leave openings immediately if you just counter or defend their initial (horrendously bad) attacks.
how about a series zero to hero, where you grab a beginner watch a few of his matches and we follow his progression to the top, with tips etc ( i volunteer as tribute :) )
3:47 Sick, cause im 1st Dan 😂
Nice to see I have better start with ranks than MMS 😂 I had 20 win streak and went straight to Warrior 😂
I would like to play against some day.
