Wait wait wait!! In a video very very recently about making your dog homemade food, you suggested peas and carrots in their food. You even said to smash it up a bit and stir and you gave your dog peas on the video. I've been giving this to my dog since your video.. maybe 7 to 10 days ago!! Am I harming my dog????????

There are very few without peas, I feed about half kibble half cooked to my two (I use Dr Jones recipes)...my gsd girl has such a touchy stomach, it took me a couple of years to find the right combo, from super expensive to Kirkland brand kibble, Victor has a kibble (multipro yellow bag) without peas that keeps her poop and tummy as it should be, I even tried just the cooked and it didn't keep her tummy from being upset but the combination works great. 🤍

My dog took a bite of an Amanita muscaria mushroom from our yard once, but I didn't know until a while later. I realized when I went to give him a bath and he was completely covered in drool, so I did some quick investigating to figure out what was going on and found the mushroom. I had to get a rag and pull all of the drool out of his mouth because he couldn't swallow. Long story short, he was fine, but had I not noticed him sooner, he may not have been....I sometimes wonder what he may have been seeing though. Lol

They add peas to increase the amount of protein in the kibble. That way they can advertise as a “high protein food”Vegetable protein is way cheaper than animal protein and dogs can not absorb the same way.
You should be feeding a biologically appropriate food for the species

Thx! Knew that the pea proteins are bad, Never knew whole cooked peas were an issue.

Test by someone else Re apple seeds-
"I weighed the seeds from seven apples (54 seeds: average 8 seeds per apple) and reached 3 grams. That’s 0.4g per apple so the average weight of each apple seed is 0.055g.
To poison this dog would require them to eat (and grind up) the seeds from 200 apples."
You couldn't even kill a person with that much and more. 😁

I would NOT take the risk. My dogs are too precious.

Lol I had a pug. He ate thousands of apples. I think he spit the seeds out. He also ate a million crabapples. He LOVED FRUIT! 😅
