I rocked the same zotac 1070ti mini for years, and it was rock solid the whole time.
Recently upgraded to an EVGA 3080, but still find myself missing my 1070ti lol
I have the same zotac 1070ti mini next to me in my drawer, I upgraded to a RX 6900XT but apart from 1 fan breaking on the card it was great
I have a GTX 1060 6GB paired with an i7 8700k. This combo is good enough for me so far in 2024.
I'm building a pc on a budget rn so far I got a b760m by gigabyte along with a 13100f and until I buy a brand new GPU I'm gonna get a used 1060 from a family member u think there'd be a bottleneck?
Yep the CPU is quite strong for the 1060 but hey u did said u want to upgrade the GPU later@@lamarlewis2174
I’d say possibly but it depends on the games you play
@@lamarlewis2174cpu is why better than your gpu so yes I recommend getting something smaller than 13th gen
@@lamarlewis2174 13100f is super strong for the 1060. you can get something like a i5 8400 with a 1060 and youll be just fine
Really like your benchmark videos. Nice change in pace.
Thank you 🙏🏼 🙃
That’s crazy I still have mine and it still pumps at 1080p
GTA 5 has a engine limitation past 144fps, its not the card's fault
yeah cuz my 2080 super reaches max 144 only
Still running my EVGA 1070ti FTW2 in 2024. This is a robust GPU.
Yet another great video. i scored a founders edition 1070 and was looking for something similar benchmarking. This does happe alot in gta. i have no clue why it happens. i would love to see a video comparing this to a 3060/ other gpus you have found in this price range
I just finally upgraded to a 4070 super from my old 1070ti. She did good all these years.
what cpu
@@cadenprosise2609 ryzen 5 3600
@@PanditaP Does that bottle neck? Looking to upgrade my ryzen 1600/ gtx 1070 to a rtx 4070ti super
@@cadenprosise2609 yeah… in a way it does… I’m upgrading soon.
are you looking to sell/ give away the 1070 ti?
My 1070 ti Strix (8gb I think) and i5-6600K has been perfect since I built it years ago
crazy to have been here lurking since you had 1.7k subs
3:49 u are correct, gta v will stutter above 144fps. So just cap it at 144fps and you're good
Yeah its an issue with the engine that's never been fixed - it just doesn't like high fps
I just picked one up today. MSI Gaming version. Super excited to run the benches vs 1060 and 980Ti which I already have data for.
The best thing about that particular card is it only uses a single 8-pin power connector. Most of the other models I'm familiar with use dual 8-pin connectors. It's a little harder to do a budget build with a PSU with dual 8-pins.
I play BFV/ pubg/ destiny 2/ Apex Legends on 1440p on high settings, no issues. 1070ti
Brah,buy a rtx 4080 super,u cant reach 200 FPS with that!🙄
i7-4770 + gtx 1070 ti 8Gb is good for cs2? like 120 stable FPS?
Yes
I still rock just a regular 1070 and it runs great. The games that support FSR 3.0 and frame generator makes it seem less and very playable still.
I bought my gtx 1070ti during covid for like 250 euros (it was a great deal at that time). It is quite a good card, and mine is also a beast in overclocking(mine has 2 8pin connectors), and it still is very good in 1080p gaming. I'm planning an upgrade in about a year, but I'm not even sure how much it is worth it
absolute beast of a gpu, has been viable pretty much until today.
got an x mining msi 1070ti at the beginning of the year for like 110$ and besides the fans needing some oiling up it has been rock solid, probably has been kept clean and undervolted, If I keep it at stock clocks at 950mw it uses the same power as a stock gtx1060 (90w) its an epic card, most of the older titles that I care about play at 4k easily...
3:40 the RAGE engine dies after ~150 fps due to engine limitation it happens to me too
I just upgraded from rx 6600 to 1080ti (I just need more vram) and for now, it's a decent upgrade!
That's the weirdest upgrade I've ever heard.
@@zevelgamer. Why?
🤣🤣
Definitely more of a 'side-grade' than an upgrade. A 6700XT would have been an ideal pick if vram was the concern (not to mention the fair performance increase).
Is your old card for sale
The 1080 (non ti) outperforms this by miles and is also available on the used market for around $100-120.
By miles is an overstatement, its the same GPU (GP104) but has 19/20 SM's enabled. Almost the same. When properly overclocked it runs better or same as stock 1080.
very good benchmark video
Hey Elijah! Thanks for this awesome and helpful video. I have a question
I have i7 4790k so can I pair this gtx 1070 ti or non ti card with my cpu?
Yes, that’s exactly what I’m doing tomorrow. I will say that some games might bottleneck with the CPU.
That Fortnite performance looks borked. Were you using a Bluetooth controller by any chance? A spotty connection can cause serious frame rate problems in certain games. My son owns this GPU and he gets a locked 70fps on Epic settings @1080p. Thats with a R5 2600.
Forget the 1070 Ti, it's very rare to see anyone sell the 1070 non-Ti for under $100 on my local marketplace, and it's not like I live in the middle of nowhere. Back to the 1070 Ti, it's still a very solid option for 1080p gaming. It beats the 1660 Ti by about 10%, and I'm perfectly content with using a 1660 Ti.
I picked two 1070 ti EVGA variants for $50 each for some builds.
if this is for budget gamers, most budget gamers have a 60hz monitor. so i feel fortnite 60 is very playable
3:50 thats because game engine does not like to go above 165 fps when is does game engine breaks
yo disable the nvidia high defintion audio and wave to fix stutters
i have a 1070 TI on a 3440x1440 resolution, and i can barely hit 60 fps on most games i play like lost ark or diablo 4, and she gets to 93º quite fast. im thinking about upgrading it but unsure if just adding ram (i got 16 gigs) would do the trick or no :< any tips?
i have a 1070turbo and its been working for like 4 years
I had a 1070ti turbo, and I highly recommend using an NZXT G12 bracket and a cheap 120mm aio to cool it. I saw wild overclocking headroom and temps always under 40c for under 100 dollars
Bro until like a year ago I had a 970 and it ran games just fine 😂
Vector! Oh yeah baby!
i 7 6700K, 16 GB and MSI 1070, 2016 build, still going strong. I would also like to know if I should upgrade ? and to what ?
All
the lag above 170 is usually the spot i believe.. it spikes and basically chokes itself lol.. so i matched my refresh rate at 144 and its nice now! but ive seen a few people get the same
Just got a MSI Titanium version from eBay auction for $100, really nice card for the price, absolutely destroys any of the new “budget” e-waste GPUs.
Also, I suggest you test e-sports games with both low and high/ultra presets as even people with modern high end systems play on low settings to maximize frames and reduce latency as a result.
This is my daily driver, I love it but mostly cause I got it for a great price used about 4 years ago.
i just want a budget pc i only play minecraft and edit some stuff should i get gtx 1070ti or rx 5600xt
I bought mine for $98. Coming in the mail tomorrow
You should do this test with the 1660 family and the rx 580. I would really like to see that!
Is Chieftec A80 85% gold enough for RX 6700XT What do you huys think??
No😂
@@CommadoZiret It's 650W min recomended for 6700xt is 650 I dont have any aio-s nothing fancy just basic stuf
My 1080ti smashing the rtx 3060 even to this day 😂🙏. Some good maintenance is all it needs
The 1080ti was way ahead of its time. That thing is a beast
i just recently got deep into PC gaming and for $133 that i paid for it i thought the GTX 1070 would be a Good Beginner GPU to use in my Aurora R10
Please do flipping pcs again I really enjoyed that series
Which AM4 CPU would be a good idea to compare with?🙂
Ryzen 5 3600
Wondering when these cards finally die. This, the RX580, etc....starting to show signs of being left behind, but still really strong for the price.
I think the rx 580 might be better for its 65$ price tag.
Quit smoking what you might be smoking
got more vram than the new 4050
you think it would be worth it to upgrade to a 1070ti from a 1060? i’m not wanting to spend more than $150 on a gpu as my build is a super big budget build but the specs are well above the gpu and it’s gpu bound in every game.
Used Rx 5700 xt
Pascal was way ahead of it's time
I've never experienced lags on gta V even if I get 200fps
GTA is capped at 187.5 fps tho
Hey brother, just some advice, you should use ungine superposition since it’s newer because heaven is from 2009 so it’s not accurate anymore
Thank you my man. Good to see a comment from you again 🤝🏼
@@ElijahsLab ❤️ never stopped watching u
i had a gigabyte 1070 ti i got for 170 usd like 2 years ago but now i have a 2080 super i got for 210 usd 🤣
bruh what a steal!!
I have a 1070ti, i3-10100 with 32gb ram and I’m getting an average of 80 fps on low settings on warzone
i got a 1660ti for $100 used, its amazing!!
I have the asus strix gtx 1070. I got it for 90 dollar in 2024
I've been using a 1070 for about a year now and i feel that its time to upgrade so i got a 3060 ti
Still got my asus rog 1070 ti since 2017.
Great cards!
just good ? this is one of the best budget gpus with same fps as a 3050 while being 1/3 of the price
I feel like fortnite needs to build shaders or something with every new driver install. Whenever i test older hardware it always stutters llike the plague until it magically locks at 120
And new hardware too,its a shame
GTAV Tends to lag above like 150 FPS I think the engine has it capped at 180 and even a 4090 will studer, so capping it should fix the problem 99% of the time. In short GTAV just has an old game engine that doesn't like higher FPS lol ( TBF did come out back on ps3)
I still rock my EVGA GTX 1070 ti FTW 2
what is your specs from that pc?
bro thats the exact one i wanted it was listed in rand on facebook marketplace i think R900 or R450 i cant remember the price
Should i get 1070 ti or 1660 super? Here the prices almost similar
1070 ti
Paid 100 bucks. Got it for my SECONDARY card to run my extra 4 screens. Did not get it for gaming. 🙂
Literally saw 1070 ti think msi one at my local store used ofcourse like 3days ago
Hey! Loving all the content and videos, I’m thinking of rebuilding/selling my old pc with a 1070ti and this is super helpful! Quick question, what is the benchmarking overlay your using in the top right? It looks great. Much love.
Do you mean the upper left? It's MSI Afterburner which is a free program.
@@BREEZYM6015 thanks mate, been using the AMD overlay for all that on my main pc, but the one I’m working on is team green so I needed an alternative, cheers again.
Next time you benchmark Fortnite could you possibly do performance mode also 🙏
I thought it would crush any esport games even at their highest😂😂😂
star field left the chat-
Btw what is the cpu, I might’ve missed it in the vid but jw
12400f
Bingo
For 80$ it's great, for 120$ not so much. I picked up RX5700XT for 120€
elijah if it its glitching after 144 fps it could be screen tearing
@ElijahsLab
Can it run on 165hz ?
Good for budget pc
bought the 4070 super FOUNDERS EDITION yesterday!
Gonna sell me 1070 to my mom for 90
Enjoy the upgrade!

@@HadalOceans might do the same, but im looking at the ti super because of 16vram. thoughts?
@@cadenprosise2609 I'd say, Sure! If you think it fits and your other components are good enough for it, you should get it.
what cpu and res do you play at, i got a 5700x and 1440p!!
pls sir answer me
can i get over 270+ fps with i3 12100f (1280x960low) In Cs2
Yeah probably. if not it will most likely of 240. idk though
900p with upscaling
i got a gtx 1060 6gb and an i5 11400f maybe i cpuld get the gtx 1070ti
I got a ROG Strix 1070 in my tower but I got a 4060 in my laptop
Bro i am playing apex at 40 fps with lower resolution then 1080p 😢
can i have that pc u used for benchmarking? lol jk but you should do a giveaway
i have 1070 ti and i manage 200 fps in fn
gta 5 has a fps cap at some point the game runs so "good" it doesn't know how to act.
we need more pc2h
dude you need to test newer games like starfield and other new triple A titles not old ones, come on dude
watched this video with a evga 1070ti lol
gta 5 game engine is capped at 188 fps if u go above 150 fps u will see big spikes its the game engine not ur pc
🔥🔥🔥
why arent you test fortnite on performance mode i think 99percent of fortnite players use that
You’re not wrong but, This video was meant to show the full power of the 1070ti. You can of course play at performance mode but it’s not a realistic look at the true performance
my 1070ti was on par with my 8gb 3060 lol
i bought in 2023 :V my forza can hit more than 140fps , in ultra
i wanted to buy it but i couldn t afford it
cuz i am juz 14
Fortnite is generally stuttery so it isn't the cards fault
i got the same card for $80 will be doing it in a flip soon and 1070 still a banger card
I picked one up that was listed for 100$ and brought the guy down to 75$ was able to make 120$ish profit on a optiplex build with the upgraded GPU and a SSD
