I love my IQ but I’ve had problems cutting the 2”x2” porcelain floor tile which is unfortunate because I currently have a contract to do thousands of square feet of it. Have you figured out any tricks for smaller tiles?
@@tman4770 I’ll give the hard blade a try. I mean the combo blade has no issues cutting it, it just chips like crazy and usually breaks then if they’re less than half the tile size. I tried using cardboard as a support underneath only to find that it makes more dust since it’s blocking the vacuum and also kills the blade for the same reason. I didn’t think the vacuum would have that much of a cooling affect on the blade but apparently it does.
Does this cutter leave ragged edges? Thinking of buying but ive heard mixed reports 😮
Really no dust inside with this machine?
Sal, you should try Pro knees. Ive worn them for 25 years.
I have a well used pair, use them when I do floor tile.
How did you knock out that cut to get a clean 90?
Did you plunge cut with the i228 or use a grinder? What grinder blades give you the least chips?

Make sure you're using the hard materials blade, and get a rubber matt to put under the sheets.
