    I have the10inch IQ and I honestly wind up spending a lot of time cleaning up my cuts. It does not cut porcelain clean. Great idea but they need to figure out how to design a blade that can cut porcelain tile clean. Also the mitre design not good either. Got to stick to wet tile saws.

      What saw do you use. My IQ cuts are just as nice as my DeWalt cuts. Some tile the DeWalt does better, but for the most part it takes a quick file pass to clean up either saw cuts. Are you using the correct blade for the type of tile you are cutting? I'm not a huge fan of my Iq saw, but the one issue I've never had is cut quality, except on bevel cuts.

      @@jbitile8241 I use the Hard Material blade, on hard porcelain and the cuts are nice. So far everyone that I personally know who has been skeptical has also thought they were nice. I do not have many issues with the ends chipping, but a guy I do work with seems to have more issues. When I'm cutting a tile that wants to chip, at the end I just make a score at the end first then cut it.

      So did I. It's convenient + quick & accurate enough for doing Backsplashes & similar sized smaller jobs. Once you swap the stock blade, that is. The black widow cuts much faster. Btw, I made a mount for my Ridgid Rolling Miter saw stand w a drain port. Makes setup, takedown & cleanup a total breeze on-site!

    Like the corners, it didn't dull the corners out when you're pushing it through or it didn't separate the tile like it didn't make it. Go to you know a quarter inch more on one side. I would probably say that's better for more. Just the ceramic subway tile. I don't know man. Still not impressed. I only saw one cut

  • @willinthearea6318
    @willinthearea6318 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think tabletop saws are only good for small subway tiles....You're better off using a bigger and more powerful saw with 12 x 12s and bigger tiles. A snap cutter is always faster for straight cuts regardless of tile size. This saw can be handy for a backsplash....Just set it right there next to you.

    Hello my tile master! Hehe sorry for bothering you. I have a question about that saw. I watched almost every movie that you published ... sometimes I watch it too many because I’m just spending money on things that you are reviewing. I bought that saw. I was waiting 2 months to get it and it’s finally arrived. I was very excited! To be honest when I unpacked it and assemble it I watched your movie again and I was thinking that we don’t have the same saws.... my device has 1/4 inch of play tray that’s for $650 with tax is ridiculous. In our profession we need accurate and in my opinion 1/8” difference is big thing. What is your saw play tray? My microajustment is very poor quality, when I’m moving that screw I’m scared to not break it. My tray is very poor quality too. It’s mix cheep metal with cheap plastic. I can agree about the motor. It sounds and feels very strong. I didn’t try it yet because I’m considering to return that junk without paying return fees. But I’m very curious about your example. I think that you could received better versions that they selling now because they knew and want your review!
    Have a great weekend!

    WOW! That is incredible! I just purchased the Porter Cable wet saw you reviewed and loved it, but this is SPECTACULAR! What will the price be for this saw? Also, i keep having my tile crack and spit at the end, and am not sure what to do. I believe you had mentioned that i should purchase a different blade rather then use the one the came with the saw, but is this chipping happening because i have something setup wrong? The saw would be used when the snap cutter wont work. So cutting pieces larger than 1-1.5 inches from the edge of the tile the snap cutter would be used. The dry saw is for specific circumstances. Not to cut every single tile. If you do a good layout then the dry saw probably wont be used at all and if so maybe only a few times.

If it's out a bit, adjust a set screw in the back (by the stopper for the miter/bevel) until the blade is flush with your speed square. Also, this video can help with adjusting the frame/rails. - How many amps, or watts is the motor ?
    - What type of blade ? ("proprietary" , LOL)
    - Did you notice this has a small extended "thumb" on the back fence ? That will put even pressure on the opposite side of the cut, Brilliant ! That should stop tile from cracking and/or, blowing out the last piece of the cut.
    - How hard is it to change the filter ?
    - Are the feet rubber or plastic ?
    - what will it cost ?
    - when is it expected to be available ?
