- Come along with us as Shawn and I prepare for the upcoming Epic Catfish season by pouring HUGE sinkers into a home made wooden mold. We show how we do it and goof around a little and get visited by Carl Childers his self mmmmm hmmmm.

Granted my age would say I have years but, I gave up on fishing for many years, was a salt water boy out of his area and didn't fish fresh. Ended when I had enough of not fishing and decided to learn some fresh fishing.

Awesome video wow that's some monster lead. Katfish Karl baught me a leading pouring kit through a give away I won. Best investment ever. I have saved a lot of money pouring my own lead. I'm going to make me a mold like you all have done. Awesome job guys.

Georgia... i cant take 100% credit for that. It comes from Aaron and his friends who shawn and i fished with on the Tenn River syatem. Aaron and I have talked over the phone for 25 years - ever since procats-- and he said it and i started saying it and now everyone i talk to starts saying it including catfish heroes and so i suppose its a thing lol especially now that youre saying Donkey Baits lol 😎😂😎
I like making my own weights but can't find any lead around these parts
Did you go to the local tire shops and ask for old tire weights. Sometime they have a scrap bucket full of them you could have for free!😃

I give $20 a bucket for wheel weights around my area in KC. I always hear the same thing why give money for them. I look at it this way as long as your happy with money and I'm happy with the lead they will keep saving them for me. If I can get 3 or 4 8oz sinkers I make my money back. So usually I end up with tons more sinkers for free. And they get a 30 pack of beer 😆

I havent noticed anything for or against this theory except i do make sure to wash my hands if i get gas on them while filling up the boat.

I see you boys are still working with LEAD and not wearing a lead base respirator and don’t have fresh air vent coming into your shop, lead vapors are very dangerous to your health, do yourself a favor get some respirators and blow fresh air into your shop when you’re working with LEAD.
Well hooked on fishing... we definitely didnt get this goofy by following all the safety rules ...
I used to spray high flash laquer in a paint booth second shift (while smoking) without a mask after first shift building furniture all day (while smoking) without a mask and yes probably very dumb....
And if i think real hard theres probably been way dummer than than ... oh yeah explosives and such and the time we skipped school on fridays and shot flaming arrows at milk gallons full of gas or that time we got the recipe for nitroglycerin from a vietnam vet... and yes we made some.... it was very fun.
Now for not learning a good safety lesson i should mention that this video is a continuation of the first video where we didnt have all the safety protocols in place. We will ne smarter in the next one for sure... or maybe the neuron blocking side effects have made us dumber already. Anyways im taking this very light- hearted and believe you and yes we will make an effort to do way better next time.... i think it'll be funny as heck talking to eachother through some full-on euro-style apocalype masks 👍👍👍😂😂😂
