As an A's fan, sports history has showed us that it ain't over till it's over. Giants were right on the very edge to moving to Florida and then stayed in San Francisco. The Sacramento Kings were about to relocate to Seattle until ultimately staying in Sacramento. A lot of people thinks its a done deal but we will see. What I will say is that once those shovels hit the ground in Vegas (if they do hit the ground), I will no longer be an A's fan and I will no longer follow MLB. As an A's fan I am just holding onto every single ounce of hope
Stop using the Giants as an excuse the scenario was completely different from the A’s the owner of the Giants was actually trying to sell the team and had the offer from the Tampa Group
Although the As owners is a huge joke. The city of Oakland is absolutely in the gutter in terms of leadership. They lost the Raiders, Warriors and As. Within a decade because they absolutely refused to budge on their stance of paying. I’m a diehard sf fan (9ers; warriors, giants, sharks) but the raiders/as belong in Oakland
@@gillroygarlic3616 Well at the very least I heard Oakland may be guaranteed an MLB expansion team in the future. It's definitely not gonna make things right, but it's something I suppose if it ever comes to fruition. All we can hope for is that the A's and Raiders somehow fail in Vegas. Vegas should have been given expansion teams. Instead they stole 2 sports teams. What goes around comes around.
After losing the Raiders, you would think that every last string would have been pulled to not lose the A's also. They don't necessarily need to be in Oakland, but I can't believe Gov. Newsom and others can't find another suitable area for the A's. You can't let this happen. The Owners must VOTE NO on the A's relocation to Las Vegas. P.S. - Many Las Vegas residents do not want the A's there. It's already "California East" with the rising housing prices. This will only make it worse. #StayInCalifornia
Fisher is THE WORT. However, it is interesting that the Warriors and Raiders both left for greener pastures, yet when the A's try to, their owner is demonized.
This is a lot different, because the 49ers are still at the end of the day, the Bay Area's NFL team. Just like how the Warriors despite moving from Oakland to San Francisco, are still the Bay Area's NBA team. That is a lot different than the Raiders and the A's deciding to move not only out of Oakland, but to an entirely different state.
Gotta hope for their failure in Vegas. Idk if this makes you feel any better but I heard Oakland may be getting an MLB expansion team in the future. Don't know how legitimate it is or when but just thought I would mention it.

I feel you. Sadly the MLB seems to only care about their bottom line and for some reason they believe allowing the A's to relocate will put more money in their pockets. Meanwhile, diehard fans like you who have supported this team through thick and mostly thin are hung out to dry. Let's just hope their relocation is a disaster because that's what they deserve.
@greglbennett The amount of folks that love to hate on California cities, but are blind to their own state’s issues never ceases to amaze me. Vegas isn’t free of problems either. Just for starters, y’all are last in education.
I was very disappointed with the interview. Raj has the golden opportunity to interview Fisher and just lobs him softballs without any intense follow-up questions. Raj proclaims himself as an A's fan that is hurt by the A's potential move and yet, settles on the answers he is given...Fisher continues his campaign on lying to the fans and nobody is willing to hold him accountable when they have the chance.
This is embarrassing for RAJ, NBC and obviously John Fisher. You’re a TV station and we don’t get any footage or audio? you’re just reading the interview to us like an audiobook.. the questions are soft and theres zero pushback. Nice puff piece raj and NBC!
Tbf the city will profit somewhat from hosting the A's but the owner should at least foot part of the bill for the stadium. Maybe even the majority of it.
Oakland is the most integrated city in America. We celebrate diversity in this country because time after time, it is our diversity that has saved us from the rest of the world. Look at the Manhatten Project. What if all of those Jewish (and other) phycisists didn't come to America? Have you ever heard of the Ashkanazi mind? The highest IQs in the world.
This guy only cares about revenue and how much money he can make instead of investing in good players like la dodgers, mets and Phillies with also Yankees
What a COWARDLY way of dealing with this? No video/audio of the conversation? It's his team but have more respect for the fans.
Inherited wealth, what do you expect?
People will be able to read his body language. Once he gets asked a question he knows Raj will keep asking him more. He knows he's a piece of shit.

Kinda like what Shohei did. No questions. Just a statement. No video. No audio.

That's what we said about the Raiders. It took a Willie Brown, Jr. to save the Giants and get the new stadium. Oakland has no Willie Brown, Jr.

I quit the Raiders when their move to Vegas was cemented. Why support a team that doesn't support its dedicated fans?
The raiders moved to LA too. That’s what that franchise does. Wouldn’t be surprised if they end up in San Diego next.

Softball questions. Was Raj using knee pads during this interview??
