BATMAN BEGINS COVER: • Batman Begins - Eptesi...
Hope I at least did a decent job with my love letter to this incredibly storied franchise in an unfortunate time. Thank you Oakland💚💛
"How can you not be romantic about baseball?"
Cheating. Billionaire players. Yankees. And so on...
Cause The A's left 2 cities before.
I love Baseball.
I needed this today. "A hug ?" No Baseball.
@@iTalkStudios when you have owners like Fisher that kind of takes the romance out of the game because he is a POS he will not build a team when it’s in Vegas. He actually said he can’t wait to watch Aaron Judge hit home runs out of Sacramento stadium instead of his own players, what kind of owner says that, there’s nothing romantic about that and I love baseball. I’ve watched it since I was eight years old. I love I can still name the starting lineup for 72 73 and 74 Oakland A’s World Series champions.
Bye Oakland
Well there goes my childhood. As much of a dump as the OC and BART were and are, it was still fun to go to those games with my Father when he was around. RIP old man.
agreed my friend! its a sad day in baseball!
You’ll both be fine. Probably fairly soon.
@@Dweller415 I doubt it bro. Oakland is legitimately the biggest craphole in the country and ran even worse. It's impossible to put into intelligent words how poorly it is ran. I highly doubt we see another team for a very long time, if ever.
RIP oakland 🪦
Oakland didn't have much aside from it's major sports teams. It won't be the same..even if in the future the city does manage to attract another sports team
I can't see my self ever going to Oakland now even the art museum was getting sketchy, ps my great gma was born and raised there such a shame
An Earthquake, not a Hurricane! That was an unusual oversight for your otherwise flawless videos!
@@robertbluestein7800 I know, dumb mistake ahaha. It's hurricane season and I've been hearing the word nonstop lately so I just said that word on accident. I obviously know the difference between the two lol
@@iTalkStudiosan understandable one though, with cat 4 Helene looming over the atlantic set to hit Florida within the next few hours.
As a Texas Rangers fan, I was rooting for the Oakland Athletics to win this game. The city of Oakland and their team deserve so much better, and so do all fans of baseball. But congrats on the victory Oakland, the story's better if you win that game 💙💚
👊
Easy to root for the other team when you're already eliminated lol
Nick Castellanos hit a HR Yesterday, the day of the final Night game played on the Coliseum.
He’s a living meme at this point 🤣
It was also the anniversary of Jose Fernandez’s death
*This is the curtain call for the Oakland Coliseum -- as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos.*
no more raiders no more warriors and no more athletics
From a San Diego Charger fan, I understand your pain A’s fan!
Both the Chargers and the Clippers need to return to SD
@@marcvslicinivscrassvs7536 bring the Clippers back to Buffalo
As an old Expos fan I feel for Oakland A's fans.
The A's might have been a division rival for me, but as a BASEBALL fan, today sucked. Corporate greed and incompetence wins once again. A big double bird to JF!
Fair well Oakland A's. You deserved better than that fool Fisher.
Oakland doesn’t deserve this. Fisher is a hack
I am not even a fan of the a’s but this is one of the saddest days in sports
The A's were allowed to leave Oakland (for free no less) because the stadium was trashed for 30 years by the government that owned it. There was no solution for a new stadium because the City lacked the funding to complete what it promised to do--- for years. 30 owners voted it was better for the A"s to leave for basically anywhere. Not one owner stood up for them.
Genius move by Fisher tanking the team to move it to Las Vegas
yup ! a long shit but It aint over till they put a shovel in the ground in vegas and they still have to get the money right .. F JF ! cheers
@@BambuSouljaBlessUP Its naive statements like these that led to complacency with fans and the City which led to the A's moving. Its weird people still have learned nothing by the A's moving.
John Fisher 😡🤬👿
Thank you for mentioning the Expos. As a Montréaler born and raised, I totally share my thoughts with the people of Oakland.
🤢 its a shame that josh fisher dont give a damn
John Fisher* but your right about him not giving a damn it’s disgusting
Karma take care of him ☯️
@@isaiahnieves well his name does not deserve to be spelled correctly after what he's done
Just watched the Oakland ABC news station for reaction.
The Sports Anchor burying the owner brought back memories of classic sports burials.

I can give you the affiliate name though.
Nice job great video. You said it all… I got 1 million comments to make but you made them for me.
agreed, same
Sad for the city too, as it continues to slip away….
Not a hurricane--an earthquake...
Yes my bad
it's a little ironic and at the same time sad, that americans with the way they do sports.. will brag about how much money their sports generate.. how much their players earn, but turn around and complain that the owners can just stand up and take their team elsewhere.. leaving the fans with that empty whorish feeling at the end of a complete service. The rest of the world they don't do sports this way. In some parts of Europe and Latin America.. the team is an Institution.. they provide schooling for their Youth system, the presidents are not owners but someone who surveys and guides their institution to the future.. they cannot move without the permission and vote by the people fans.. the season ticket holders. Why do American Sports leagues treat their Fans like expendable cattle???
America is a joke based on capitalism, that’s why
How can you not be romantic about baseball?
I went to both the last Coyotes game in Arizona AND the last A’s game in Oakland
It's pronounced like "rawlee" fingers
As a Yankees fan, I will admit I was clowning on them for the Yankees sweeping them, but I was in full support for them last night and today. Sorry to any A’s fan that sees this comment for y’all’s owner being a b*tch and taking your team away
I don’t even think the owner even tried to get a new ballpark he just used it as an excuse to be able to leave
I’ve always loved this team. I’m just sad. They recently made the playoffs 6 times in 9 years and I think we forget just how fun and electric many of those teams were bc of their playoff results. That impossible 2012 team was part of what made me love baseball, and I’m a Cubs fan. They were expected to be awful, we’re awful much of the way through the year, then came out of nowhere to win 67% of their final 67% of games to dethrone the invincible back to back pennant winning Rangers in the division. If I’m remembering right they were 5 back with 9 to play and were once 13 games back, yet they rode a historic number of walkoffs to a division title. I’ll always love that team They were never once expected to make the playoffs in that 9 year stretch yet they always defied expectations. They once won 102 game in a division with a 116 game winner than won 103 the next year. The last couple of years have made us forget that this team was truly awesome for a long long time. I’ll really miss them. RIP Oakland A’s. The league won’t be the same without you.
I was at that last game in 2012... magical. Appreciate the kind words 👊. I almost certainly won't watch baseball anymore, but if I do I'll root for the Cubs because I respect the heck out of your fan base.
Thanks man I really appreciate it, n y’all got one hell of a fanbase too, easily one of the most likable n respectable in the league. It’s gonna be real sad not having y’all in the mlb community if that’s how things end up
Thank you for your video!! I'm 54 yrs old and grew up with the A's. Through all the great times and the bad. Breaks my heart.
I hope I did a decent job with my love letter
Oakland lost all their major sports teams but it's sad they couldn't find another place in the Bay Area, move south to the San Jose area like the Niners. Now they gotta play in the desert in Summer.
I heard the Giants didn’t want the A’s to be in San Jose, I think that’s pretty sad actually.
From Seattle ... We know your pain ... When they took the Seattle Supersonics away from us it ripped our hearts apart.... It still hurts today
And the Pilots after 1969
#FJF
Of course, the infamous Loma Prieta Hurricane of 1989.
Nick castallanos homered yesterday, makes sense
I contend that Rollie Finger's mustache was anything but common. It was magnificent, even in a time of good mustaches.
My father lost his Colts 40 years ago. It's still a sore subject even with the Ravens in town. And even though this is the fourth time this franchise has packed up, I will always refer to both Vegas transplants as Oakland
Is like almost four years i don't smell a BBQ in my neighborhood back yard, and is almost four year a i don't have the extra money to spend it in a baseball game,is sad but , blame our self ,and MLB for be so cruel and manipulative, and the many wrong decisions they has make!little by little we loosing our good moments, soon everything would be in a memory!🤨🤔?
I want to cry and I don't even live in California. I wish I'd been older to remember more games in the Astrodome as a kid...As an Astros fan, I feel sad and I truly empathize with you Oakland. Things shouldn't have turned out this way for y'all. EDIT: I DID cry by the end. :(
thank you for talking about the A's.
Let’s go Oakland
Yee first 😎
This all can be blamed on former commissioner Dud, oops, Cud, oops, Fudd, oops, Mud, oops, Crud, oops, Bud Selig. Commissioner Crud forced in Fisher as the owner because Fisher's junior partner, Lew Wolff, was commissioner Crud's friend.
Facts
😭😭
:(
3:20 it was an earthquake
Hopefully the card came up on the top right correcting my mistake
Seattle SuperSonics fan here….heart breaks for Oakland fans tonight :(
This was an awesome watch. Thank you for doing this. A's fans need this right now.
The smoke bomb was reminiscent to the smoke bomb tossed on the Coliseum grass in the A's 1974 World Series game 5
I'll miss watching Detroit VS. Oakland at the Coliseum it's was my childhood 😢😢😢😢
Only went to the colosseum once & it was surprisingly one of the best stadiums I’ve ever went to. Fxck the ownership
I’ll always remember Josh Hamilton losing the ball in that Oakland High Sky to lose the division in 2012. I hope the stadium never gets built, the A/C doesn’t work, and the grass doesn’t grow
Rip Oakland A's, feel deeply for you fans out there man
Don’t forget, I believe that was the same year ARod disrespected Braden.
From a Montreal Expos fan , I feel your pain Oakland fans
John Fisher will not be remembered when he dies, only Oakland will be remembered.
Don’t you mean an earthquake, not a hurricane?
Steroid crushers, mustache closer, movie made about ya, few world series, longest win streak regular season
Loosing 3 major sports teams in 5 years is brutal too. No other city has ever experienced that before.
I think the reason they voted Sosa for MVP in 1998 was because he helped the Cubs made the playoffs while the Cardinals didn’t make it
Did you say Hurricane! It was the Bay Area Earthquake!!! Re-upload this video, get your information right!!!
Oakland being robbed of sports franchises just hurts. And i dont even live in the states
i was at the game today after 27 years of bleeding green and gold and can comfortably say i cried pretty dang good when i had to say good by
“The Oakland A’s are now dead” is a sentence I can’t tolerate
Few remember this, but Eckersley also threw a no-hitter against the Angels.
Baseball rot always starts at the top with ownership. Players wanna win, fans wanna win, owners want more money.
The A's are my second favorite team behind the Braves. I've always lived in Georgia, so I'm not sure why I gravitated to the A's, but this sure does suck for the fans.
Hear he out do y’all think in the distant future Oakland can get a minor league team or even another MLB team
MLB team 31: Oakland revengers
I know that feeling from when Art Model ripped the Browns out of Cleveland pretty much over night.
The league without a team in Oakland seems diminished...smh
Not an irrelevant franchise but definitely an irrelevant city. Oakland is a dumpster fire in the middle of trash California cities. San Diego has become the crown jewel of the state but even it’s starting to go down hill.
I got to go to the game. I got my ticket back in April. It was sad. I got my "Sell The Team" shirt to go with my Pirates "Sell The Team" shirt.
My grandfather was a Philadelphia A's fan, was upset and angry when they left. He would always go with my uncles to NY or Baltimore just to see them play.
Spent a lot of time over the last 50 years in the Coliseum watching A's games, Raider games, & Warrior games at the arena next door. Truly a sad day for bay area sports & fans. Fisher is the worst owner in 2 sports. What a gutless clown. Went from Moneyball to Major League...
Idk how they feel must be awful hopefully they get a team again
Thank you for this, today was maybe the most bittersweet experience in my life as an A’s fan, and regardless of the drama and how stupid the whole situation is, today was maybe the perfect sendoff, and this video is a great way to remember them
Yeah man I''m a Rangers fan and I'm pretty disappointed in this team's ownership.
Thankfully I was able to get out there earlier this year, but this is heartbreaking to see all of that history end. I am glad that the A’s were at least able to win this game. Kotsay’s postgame speech was beautiful
This IS sad. The A's had a helluva history, especially in its heyday. Now they're going to be homeless for the next couple of seasons. Embarrassing, the MLB would allow this. They are the only team to have green as a primary color. Ricky Henderson was my all-time favorite A's player.
I’m a Phillies fan. Being born and raise in Philadelphia, I have a somewhat historical/ personal ties to this organization, the A’s were from philliy, won 5 World Series and the Phillies have honor the A’s in their hall of fame. In the A’s last game in Oakland took place 70 years to the day of the Philadelphia A’s last game.
Any way, the last day of the 2012 season. When grant Balfour comes into that game with Metallica one playing the crowd going crazy was one of the coolest things I watch at a baseball game
I think you meant a game 3 earthquake not hurricane
You said NL west they’re in the AL west
Even though I'm a die hard Giants fan, seeing the A's situation does make me feel a bit sad.
Have you not driven down Hegenberger in the last 10 years????? You would seriously be risking your life! You’ve forgotten to mention the socioeconomic situation caused by liberal policies and politics that have led to the complete collapse of that entire area. You should’ve went…. You’d have a whole new perspective way there’s no money. Sad, but the reality is the people always get the government they deserve.
Earthquake, not hurricane
This game might be the most I've ever cried in my life.
Man I feel bad for the Oakland fans. This is a shame.
The Oakland A’s fans have EVERY RIGHT to become Giants fans, because they got betrayed by their own team because of John Fisher, so now it’s only for them to root for their Bay Area rival.
Loved everything about this vid
For someone who never has been to an A's game in Oakland you sure nailed it. It was a magical team at a magical place. From Lloyd on organ back in the day, Cannon explosions after home runs and wins, to the dixieland band, hot pants day, bat days, cap days, it was a great place to grow up.
49 years old and I've been a fan of the A's since my mom went to a game and brought me home a souvenir helmet in 3rd grade. And truth be told I've been excited about the A's moving knowing da Raidas are already there to welcome their bro's home. I think it made it a little easier for me. ⚾️ ❤😢
That was an excellent eulogy. Now that the A’s are done, the Giants will block expansion or relocation. And because it’s California a new stadium would take a decade to develop. Once Howard Terminal fell through it was over.
As a Philadelphian I’ve always viewed the A’s as a legacy franchise. Always rooted for them to pull it together. Every fan deserves better than what Fisher has done to that city. Eff that guy. Eff his mother. Much love from A’s first home.
As a Sacramento Kings fan, I’m really sad for A’s fans. We almost lost our team because of bad ownership but fortunately we were saved at the last moment. I’m not an A’s fan but I’ve been to many games at OC with my dad to see Cal Ripken and the Orioles. Those memories I cherish. Man this sucks. The A’s belong in Oakland. FJF forever
I was a Coyotes fan in Arizona, they were bad but it still hurt.
As a life long Giants fan, screw Giants ownership for voting in favor of Fischer to move the team. Im going to miss the Coliseum, I never went to a Raider game but I went to plenty a couple A's games. I know my friends from the east bay are gutted. BUT I do have a feeling this actually is not the last game they will play there.......
Numbers is not necessarily what they look at when determining mvp. Generally the way mvp is looked at is what player would hurt a team the most if that player was not playing for that team.
There are things that turn a rabid sports fan into just a casual fan, or even a non-fan. A storied franchise jumping ship to another city is at the top of the list
Why are they leaving oakland ?
1970's...wow. Ricky Henderson! 1990's...amazing! I'm not a fan but I have been to a game and seen the great fans. Respect! Amazingly has produced players beyond expectations who the owner never wanted to keep and win championships. Goodbye Oakland A's of the past, you will be missed. From an Angel fan who knows crappy ownership.
Best sports movie - North Dallas Forty, probably. Moneyball isn't even really about baseball it's about general managers. The As and Red Sox split 4 playoff appearances against each other, so I guess I don't hate them really. BTW, the winners of the 4 match ups lost their World Series afterward. Manny's HR in the deciding game of the 2003 series, at Oakland, is my 2nd favorite HR ever.
Anyway, when you consider the Raiders history of leaving Oakland, I think it's safe to say the Bay Area can't financially sustain two franchises. And of course when it's a relatively small population the fan base will be rabid about a major league team playing there.
I was the drip oakland
