Very helpful video! I used 2 TBL of citric acid dissolved in 28oz of water and followed your directions to the T. The whole process was very well explained. I also replaced the water filter at the same time. The end result was a clean Keurig and excellent tasting coffee.
Appreciate the video. In my first fresh water rinse, actually had a an error code come up and it’s stopped after about 3 oz. It allowed me to continue and complete the descaling. Also, mine said “warm water” not “hot water. We are connected to WiFi. Just a heads up for some watching.

I’m currently running this process following your video. I owned a few Keurig machines in the past and they all worked flawlessly. This is my 2nd supreme plus as my first one died 3 months in after that thermostat error. I’m still nervous running so many rinse cycles. I think that causes an issue as well. 12 is overkill in my opinion. Crossing my fingers that it doesn’t ruin it right now. Thank you for your video.
Thanks for watching, This machine has the same Thermostat issues as the older Supreme's Some viewers are waiting 30 min between the time they run the vinegar through to when they start the fresh water rinses. I have not tried this yet, I think it might help as long as the machine stays in descale mode while the unit is cooling down.
Thanks for the video. I didn't restart the process when it hiccuped. I just added another 10oz of water when it failed to give the regular message. That way it leaves 2 oz of water in your reservoir. It then detected the water was low and threw the message.
Performed my first vinegar descale on my SMART brewer. Latest firmware update installed. It asked for 2 12ounce brews with vinegar. Than it asked me to rinse the water container and fill with fresh water. It then ran through 6 12ounce freshwater brews and told me the descale process was complete. The next descale I run will be with Urnex K-cup descaling solution, we’ll see how that goes 👍

Despite the smell from the white vinegar...do you think it is as effective in cleaning the machines as the Keurig bottled solution? I read somewhere that the Keurig solution actually causes problems with the some K Supreme brewers. I am now on my fourth replacement (K supreme plus smart) because the previous three all malfunctioned during the descaling process. Once because of the reservoir running dry as you pointed out, the second time it just died, and the third time it would not descale with hot water and subsequent brews were not hot either. Each time I was using the Keurig solution.
Thnx so much - VERY helpful. Question - I have a white vertical line that’s appeared on my K Supreme Smart display window. Thought descaling might clear it, but didn’t. Then tried resetting factory settings - to no avail. Curious if you’re familiar with this issue?

thank you for this very important video. nobody explains things as clearly as you do & that is very much appreciated. do you know if you do not have a app, and just use it as a regular keurig & want to descale it before it eventually says to descale, can you just put in the vinegar & then rinse it like a old keurig that never had a descale mode or descale button?
Thanks for Watching and your kind words!!! Yes you can descale it by putting into descale mode if your coffee maker has the update, you can go under the menu and select descale mode. You can also just run some vinegar through the machine like the old days. but this will not reset the descale light, it will come on after 250 brews. the only way to reset the descale light is run the descale mode.
