I'm surprised how much I've developed, i wen't from hating geonodes, to looking at a picture and knowing how to make it, thank you Ducky 3d for your GREAT tutorials ❤
Very good! I have loved your contents and the didactic way u present it. Finding content on this topic in Blender is really difficult. Waiting for the next tutorials.. Hugs, directly from Angola ❤
First of all a disclaimer: to all people saying I should not "complain" and "be thankful" for free tutorials - I really like Ducky and all his tutorials, he's doing awesome things. I do not mean the following negative at all, mostly it is just to show there are other possible ways as well that people watching this video might not be aware of and every once in a while even tutors themselves are not. With this being said, I'm not sure I understand why this is done with a Geometry Proximity node, because the special thing about this node is that you get the distances to multiple vertices of a mesh - if you just take a single point, the benefit of the node is gone... for that you can use a Vector Math node set to Distance and plug a Position node in the second input. For the Vector Math you don't even need the Empty to be converted to geometry, you can simply use the Location output. Even if you wanted to convert the location into a single point you also don't need a Mesh Line, you can use a Points node. And for manipulating the float values coming out of the Map Range node, why use the RGB Curves node? For floats a good way would be (as the name suggests) to use the Float Curve node.
@@TheDucky3D As I said, I really like your videos. And usually it's not the YT creators who have a problem with tips, but other commenters who sometimes get straight hostile if I dare to suggest a thing or criticize a method.
I have a specific question about Geometry Nodes in Blender. Let’s say I create a pillar using a cylinder and then use Geometry Nodes to create multiple instances of this pillar. I want to select one specific pillar instance and add a name board or logo to it. I watched video on using indices to select a specific instance, and I understand how to filter and select one instance. However, I’m not sure how to customize that selected instance by adding a logo or text to it. Could you please create a tutorial on this?
For some reason your follow path is a perfect loop, mine isn't. I did exactly what you said in the tutorial but my empty goes around 2.5 times and then resets. It looks like the 100 makes it go round 360 degrees in 100 frames. I had to cut my animation short to 167 frames to make it a complete circle. Can you explain this behaviour?
Ducky, how long does it take to render one frame of this? My computer takes 2m 40s per frame, one reason I avoid cycles. I need to upgrade, what hardware do you have?

Dude that’s awesome
@@TheDucky3D I really love your work, keep it up!
I wish to reach this level 🙌
Great job to you both!
@@deobeltran you hopefully will, wish you the best
how I want to be like you so bad
The RGB curve stuff is gold. Thanks for this.
Yeah, the use of the RGB Curve in this tutorial is the real gold! Easy and intuitive "easing"!
You can also use a float curve node if you are just passing a float (instead of a vector or color in this case)
Perfect as always, thanks bud!
I love how you treat objects like characters (ex: let's put "him" there)
Sticked with ducky since I started blender he has been my main source of tutorial
You are really a blessing thanks 🙏 🔥🔥😤😤
Thank you so much!
@@TheDucky3D you are welcome
I think even his room is made of geometry nodes. 😊
Awesome work as always man! I’ve been using GeoNodes more and more in client work and this series has been a great resource 🔥
That’s awesome
Been following your tutorials excited to try this one out
Sweet!

oh wow I had no idea you can change the animation keyframes with the RGB curves. that was great thank you
It’s such a cool trick
i just leave everything and click on your vid as soon as i get the notif🙌
Thank you!
been a while i saw your logo.. love your videos as always
First glance this reminded me of a Chong 3D tutorial rolling sphere loop 😮😮😮😮
Great, I can include this idea in one of my next videos 😊
Go for it!
As always : Letzgooo ❤

I'm drawing while watching this (first)
8:26 also a float curve could work
Thanks!
Would there be any difference here between using the rgb curve vs a float curve for the custom timing for z changes?
OMG, it's so cool🤩🤩🤩, and pls make video about lighting in blender
If you search “lighting” in my channel you will find a few I’ve made!
Question: why did you add three different circle paths instead of reusing just one?

I would explore more into how that can be done with the index
Would cylenders not respond in proximity of ball?
At 20:45, how do you count or find out how much ball needs to be rotated? Or did you just try what would work? What if there was more pillars?
That’s just from experience, knowing how many times it would need to repeat.
We know that 360 is 1 resolution, so start there. Wherever the ball lands, you can measure how many more resolutions you need.

Thank you for the great toturials but i have one problem😅
My pc is a litterall potato
Hopefully you see this but can you teach us portal/rift effect in blender I realize yt doesn’t have much about thag
Hello, what's the difference between your videos on patreon and youtobe? Your video was very helpful.
The content on Patreon is usually much longer and you learn even more in depth motion graphics techniques
@@TheDucky3D Okay, I will pay for the subscription. I hope you can release more wonderful tutorials.

I have an RTX 4090 a frame takes about 30 seconds. I would turn down your light bounces and render at 50 samples to get that time down
Chong 3D has a very similar tutorial:

Thanks for sending!
It seems you have already given such a lesson? Is this a repeat?
Are you referring to the Patreon early release?
Ducky is the goat
Thanks!
