This is a beautiful set. I would have been overwhelmed by the colors too. But, I find that after I swatch the colors of whatever the medium is, I feel better because I have a better idea of what the colors are. Then, I am excited thinking of what I can draw, color or paint. Thank you for showing me your haul. It looks like it was a fun one.😊❤
Yay! I love using hobby paints in sketchbooks! The Grabie watercolors are pretty decent-I have their set of 12 half pans in my travel kit and I really like them!
Hi Ann, that palette of watercolour is just nuts!! Although, having just said that, I have way more actual tubes of paints, so who am I to talk!? I think it’s the shock of seeing them all in front of you like that. My brain froze - this time for a normal reason 😂😂 I know the colouring book is 100% cotton, but I didn’t see that about the calendar? Did it say, or were you able to tell? I like the idea of that calendar very much. Something to keep long after 2025 is done with too. Really cool. I loved your shimmery snowman. I am trying desperately to think of something for February that ISN’T heart related as TH-cam is awash with hearts in February. I think I will head down the rabbit hole of cultural traditions that may favour February but has been somewhat sidelined by red hearts and chocolate. Obviously, chocolate is good!!! 🥰🖌️🎨👩🏻🎨 I need to go to sleep now, but shall dive back into some more in the morning. I hope you are enjoying a pleasant late afternoon 😊💜
Hello Anita! I agree about the hearts overpowering February-it makes sense, of course, but it is limited. I think I have an idea that might be fun, and it’s just about time to start working on this calendar again, so look for that video coming soon! This palette is mind boggling, for sure! You’re right-when they are ALL out there together it can be overwhelming🫣😵💫 Still, I think for hobbyists it’s a good set where you simply don’t have to think! Yay! Good news-the calendar is indeed 100% cotton! 👩🏻🎨🫶🏼
I love this and I’ve not seen a calendar like that here in the UK which is a shame as it would be a lot of fun. For February it’s got to be heart related lol 😂
I also live in Parker, CO. I Am a beginner. I order most supplies. Do you have any art stores that you go to other than Michael’s and Hobby Lobby. They are both very limited.
Hi Sabrena! I’m glad we have run into each other here on TH-cam! Howdy, neighbor!🤠👩🏻🎨😁🏔️ Sometimes I will go to Guiry’s. There is one on Jordan and Lincoln and another one on University & County Line (plus a few other locations). Guiry’s is predominantly home design and paint for your walls, etc., but they have a decent selection of pro & hobby art supplies. My favorite place to go is Meininger’s downtown in Broadway. There’s also one in Colorado Springs, but the downtown store is their flagship location and it’s quite a bit bigger with a lot more selection!! Field Trip!! (lol I’m inky half joking😄) If you ever get up to Boulder there is a store called Art Parts Creative Reuse Center on 30th & Valmont. A really great concept-they provide leftover or gently used art & craft supplies at very approachable prices!
@@artonthecreekso basically, the latter store is a kind of bricks and mortar eBay? I say that as I have purchased new and lightly used supplies for a fraction of the RRP. It’s a great way to start, and I do believe most countries have their own eBay version. Just another suggestion… 🤷🏼♀️😁👩🏻🎨🎨🖌️
I ordered this set awhile back. It is very nice and fun. I must admit that I was overwhelmed by the amount of colors too.
Hi Cindy! I’m happy to hear you enjoy it! Yes it’s a LOT of colors!!
This was fun...I love the calendar and watercolor book. Thanks for sharing
Hi Cheryl! Thank you! These are both pretty fun finds🤩 Glad you enjoyed this!

@@carlcotton1753 great! Hope you enjoy painting with your set, Carl!👨🏻🎨🎨
I bought the cheaper ver of this palette on Amazon for like $23. They're ok, good for sketchbooks and I'm not a professional so I love em.
