I wish that the Super Taunt had a counter, where if you attack during a pose where the Japanese text appears, he straight up Shisso Buraiken's you on the spot at double damage.

Of course, I don't really know SF lore too well, so I could be wrong and Dan is just a dunce with no redeeming traits asides from his eagerness to prove himself.
@@LloydTheZephyrian Saikyo Style, his martial art, was his own invention actually, combining elements of Ansatsuken (Ryu and Ken's) with sparse elements of Muy Thai. It's just that he's canonically meant to be a joke, even if it's suggested that he actually studied Ansatsuken well enough to emulate Martial Artists that fully give themselves into making the Assassin's Fist style as lethal as possible (as suggested from Kage from Street Fighter 5 having animations reminiscent of Dan). I recommend watching Designing For's video on him to show how his character is a masterclass in parody.

I don't put much time into the game nowadays as the netcode and game mechanics makes the game feel like a chore rather than fun (hence the degenerate playstyle and Bronze rank) I'll be playing Guilty Gear in the near future instead of SF5.
It's a shame that capcom didn't put dan in the story mode and his story wasn't there until 2021 capcom waited far too long to put dan in the game and they gave his story 3 chapter's which is disappointing because if he was in the story mode of the game he could have gotten a character arc which is sad because capcom thinks it's funny to keep things the way they think.
Dan is always perceived as this weak shoto wannabe, but even looking at the surface of him proves otherwise. His father was killed, and Gouken refused to train him. This means that while yes, his fireballs fizzle out and his moves generally lack polish, it is still more impressive than anything Ryu has done since *Dan had to learn this on his own*. Akuma spent years of focus in solitude to master Raging Demon. Dan just fucking did it on accident.
Tbh, Dan should get major buffs if you interrupt his legendary taint. Anyhow, I like how that Dan player was like “oh, you’re a sweaty player that doesn’t like fun then? Ok, I can be sweaty no-fun too”

You actually should, because interrupting the taunt causes Dan to take a massively increased amount of damage that increases the longer it goes on. If you can time hitting Dan with super around when his super taunt ends, you will literally take him to 0% and KO him even at full health. So absolutely, fuck Dan up for doing this.
