Hello Les! Sorry to hear you missed the Cumbrian because of the Tangmere episode, but still a great collection of trains. Obviously, some wonderful shots of Azumas and some colorful freight! Even TPE and Scotrail in the background! Seeing Azumas really does put me right back in the UK. Cheers!
Cool, thanks. I missed tngmere more because of hunger and tiredness lol. It would have been hard to capture the incident with Tangmere. But you've see what happened the following day.
Another fantastic video les & did u get to see the class 20s top tailed at Carlisle when they were heading to Joppa straight & back & i and see something from westcoast Railways is heading to aberdeen & passing Carlisle & Larbert today
Just an observation, there seems to be a point/switch missing. There is no direct route in the west platforms in the station to the south bound main line in the station confines. There is a route to Newcastle/Leeds eastbound may require a double slip to go south bound also. Obviously there is an out of site apposing crossing, from north bound line to south bound, to the yard facilities
Going south the Newcastle and S&C lines are accessible from all roads but the Maryport line is only accessible from P1-3 and the Holding sidings. Only single slips - the only double slip is at the neck of the three Holding Sidings and A road all adjacent to P1.
Tangmer's departure most likely looked like the last one you saw. Shame you did not choose a trip to Kirkby Stephen to see her and get something of the failure but it took hours so may not of been a good idea either really. I see they hurried a Black 5 from Scotland over night for the weekend charter
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Yes I saw your video of the rescue and the comments about total destruction not that I have found the video he was going on about.
Busy old day that was Les, lovely variety as ever!
Indeed! Thanks for weatching
I love Carlisle. Fantastic city and station
@@keithjones9054 good to hear

Excellent video
Glad you liked it
"Tangmere came in.... It went out again, but I didn't see that" 😂😂
Tangmere fatigue lol.
Always good to see the diverted LNER Azumas coming through Carlisle makes a nice change.
And only for 3 weeks this year. Keeps the place feeling busy.

Do Tescos get the delay repay when their train is late?
Haha I doubt DRS get their clubcard points though
@@LeslieGilpinRailways Every little helps!
When the 390 getting replaced do we know?
I don't know if there are plans. Perhaps once the HS2 mess is resolved
What was the reason for the Azuma divert Les ??
3rd of 3 weekends of engineering work between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Largely drain clearing apparently

I got the effects of the failure the following day. I'd have been around a while to see what went on at KS.
