Thailand election 2023: Vote counting gets underway

Polling stations are closing across Thailand after an election marked by a strong turnout.
Officials at the booths will soon begin counting ballots, with the first results expected within the next few hours.
The Thai Elections Commission says results from the 95,000 polling stations nationwide will be compiled, verified and published on its website from 7pm local time (12:00 GMT) onwards.
The pro-military establishment is being challenged in this election.
Opinion polls have indicated major gains for opposition candidate Paethongtarn Shinawatra.
She is the daughter of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.

It is only possible to form the next government if the Move Forward party & Phue Thai forms into a coalition. Thai people are sick of the military's incompetence in running the country. Military should stay out of politics and stick to what they are supposed to do, that is to defend the country not run for elections!
