    I am amazed at Kai's ability to teach and simutaneously critique himself concerning analyzing what he thinks he is doing vs how IS doing and how that looks. Wow, what a great teaching kindess of spirit.

    I would show this video to all the people at the gym who use more weight than they should have to. Then they cry about the lack of improvement of course.
    My chest were my weak point genetically. I've been using Kai's technique for months and it works flawlessly. So big thanks to you Kai!

    Look at how much his bar path improved when he switched over to thumbless. After converting successfully to thumbless on the OHP i have decided to go thumbless on bench as well. With chalk and a dry bar it's very secure. Screw these people who keep on saying "never use thumbless" as if they're talking to 13 year olds.

    That guy should have listened to Kai more. I've only been weight training for a month and a half and I know that the most important thing is form, therefore it frustrated me a little watching this. When a showcase bodybuilder isn't listening to Kai Greene and not getting the most out of what he's doing it makes me think of the goals I can reach and how I can reach them. Kai Greene KNOWS what he's talking about, LISTEN, WATCH & LEARN!!! :)

    im 16, been lifting for about 4 months now and one of the first things i learnt about benching was to go all the way down to your chest with the bar, i dont think this guy is weak just that he never learned to go all the way down, so his chest wasnt used to it, honestly expected him to do 135 (or 60 kg if you're from the UK like me) a little easier though

    Reps? How many is good for body building? Some people say 5-8 others say 12-15? Anyone help???

    • @peteloc3143
      @peteloc3143 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      3-5 if you just want strength...like powerlifters .
      6-8 if you're into mass
      8-12 if you want mass and slight definitions
      any more than 15-25 are strictkly definition .
      If you're into body building : Do 4 sets 1) Warm up with what ever you can do 15
      2) add more pounds 8-12
      3)add more pounds 8
      4) add more pounds...do 6 for mass
      I only know about body building routines .
      Hope this is helpful .

      Ronnie Tran thanks bro! for the info!

    • @Yomuju
      @Yomuju 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't listen to Ronnie Tan. Rep ranges cannot be cut so rigidly like that. For natural lifters, like most people, you want to be anywhere in between 4-15. There are two different ways that your muscles grow. First, blood being pumped into your muscles, creating that "pump". Second, the micro-tears in your muscles grow larger muscle cells. So, as long as you are fitting those two criteria, your muscles will grow. Now, of course, comparing a set of 4 to a set of 15 will get you different results, but that isn't the point. The point is, lifting almost any number of rep ranges will get you mass. In fact, the "15-25 are strictkly definition" is not even close to right. The only way to get definition is to have a lower bodyfat. You can't "define" your muscles like that. Be critical of everything you hear from people, especially regarding bodybuilding. Here are some tips to get huge. The only time you need to worry about rep ranges is if you are juicing. Higher rep ranges for BBers that are juicing are ideal because the drugs typically make the "pump" much greater in the gym. So a rep of 30 does wonders for juicing BBers, but won't do much for you, other than some cardio and endurance.
      1) EAT FOOD. 60% of muscle building happens in the kitchen. If you don't eat enough, you won't grow. Eat natural, whole foods. Find you TDEE( there are calculators to find it all over the internet), and eat 300 calories above that number.
      2.) LIFT- Lift hard, lift smart. Don't fall into the rep ranges BS. Just make sure you are doing a decent number of sets with a heavy weight. Muscles usually need around 50+or-15 reps to get a good growth response. That is like 2 exercises with the typical 8x3 (8 reps for 3 sets). You can go higher or lower than that, but BBing wise, you don't want extremely low reps. Plan your sets and reps accordingly.
      3.) SLEEP- Should be self explanatory. Get your 8 hours a night.

    • @benjamin1636
      @benjamin1636 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yomuju thanks mate, so in other words, just find the right rep range that works best for me....

    I don't get why Kai bashed him at 9:55 and said "this is light ass weight", and then proceeded to claim that basically the amount of weight doesn't matter, and you don't need to worry about pushing weight to impress anyone. If the latter part is true, why would he say "this is light ass weight" in the first place?

    Can anyone help me ? im 3 months into my weight training and my chest is getting bigger.. but since a kid ive suffered from Pectus Carinatum/Pigeon Chest which is a flat chested deformity and it kind of went inwards a little bit.. now as my chest gets bigger its leaving a bigger dint like gap in the very middle of my chest between the muscles, instead of looking like the right an left muscles are square an connected theres a gap !! i go sauna and steam room after workouts and seeing other chests is making me feel uneasy with mine.. if anyone understands and has advice its appreciated !
