Kai Greene might be the most inspiring and Philosophical body builder there is Today - I love his videos and he's the one who taught me the difference between Body Building and weight lifting -
So much Wisdom & Knowledge coming from KG, hard to not watch his vidz over & over! Inspirational & precise...literally just feeding off the mans HARD WORK & DETERMINATION!! keep it coming bro
@@Aceg13579 yeah it's as simple as: if you throw weight up with shit form, you're not actually training the muscles you're trying to train; it can also lead to injuries such as tendonitis, when it comes to bicep curls. Do you understand the concept now?
the beautiful thing of kai is... he doesn't force anyone to lift heavy weight... he always recommend the mechanism of contraction and stretch of muscle should be accurate to get the results.... no matter you lift the lightest weight or a bar without weight.... love you kai....
Yeah, he gets a bad rap because the judges old dick ride Phil Heath who didn't deserve a single title I mean Kai Greene hates that guy with good reason cuz he got robbed time and time again
Many elite bodybuilders have some lifts that don't appear to be correct but it happens to work with their body. Jay Cutler had awful form on many of his lifts, but it worked for him.
This needs to be the go-to arm training video for any bodybuilder. I used to watch this like 9 years ago. The fact that my brain still remembers it is a testament to how good of a video it is. The section about how almost everyone uses too much weight should be shown to literally every person entering a gym to work on their body. Good for noobies too as Kai shows bodybuilders can be intelligent and eloquent, and the narrator will mention how and why things like forearms first is weird but acceptable in certain cases.
A most natural video I belive, not huge weights, no grunts and loud yelling just too natural and most importantly "bodybuilders are not weight-lifters" best inspiration for beginners
i dont think you realize how strong kai is until you see at 10:00 when he ever so casually grabs the 110lb dumbbell out of his partners hands and tosses it away, all with the finesse of being passed a football. I can assure you each and every one of us in here would have had to brace our core and kept our arms tucked into our body for maximum stability. What a true giant kai is
Volume is the main driver in progression for hypertrophy, strenght comes with it through time, essentially you only need to add weight if u feel you can do way to many reps in one set, maybe 10kilos for 20 reps bi epscurls, 10x20=200 i guess one can simply add more numbers or more reps each training to higher the volume
16:25 "gonna be in control of it throughout the entire range of motion" That is the way to train and for all exercises. Kai did it then but for all other times he just rushes the weight. .for natty guys we have to follow Kai's advice but we have to actually do it too! Rushing it will send u down the path of growing slowly.
I use this philosophy in every one of my sessions. I focus solely on the muscle movement and getting a good stretch with every rep. The amount of weight on the bar has no meaning what so ever
@@ttempels I was being a little snarky in my comment but honestly you don't have to like it. That's just my style. A lot of people in the bodybuilding world have said that they don't want me editorializing and just want to see the athlete. I get that, but that's not how I want to do it.
I've been teaching these concepts all of my bodybuilding life. It's not about how much weight you can live. The form and control of the exercise. Is more important. Everybody wants to show out with weight. With no results, month after month year after year. And by the way I'm 56 years old. 👀💯...Facts
Great advise about not having to put to much weight on the bar and doing the movements in proper form. Also the difference between a body builder and a weight lifter. I didn't realized that there was a difference, but when Kai pointed that out it made me really think. Outstanding! Great video!
Thanks Kai for once again addressing the difference between weightlifting and Bodybuilding👍😎 gaining mass and size isn't all about lifting heavy. All about Mind muscle connection.
Adam has been working out with Kai for how long and Kai only just now picking his form now. Seems to me like Adam would have always wanted to keep up with Kai, maybe Adam was trying to keep up in this vid only. Idk but if I hadn't been doing it as long as Kai I wouldn't try keeping up with him. Ok , my bad . Just watched some more of these. I misunderstood what was happening. I thought he had been training with Adam for awhile not just 1 day. Sorry. I have admired Kais' physique for years, after watching these I'm inspired to get back into the gym, something I haven't done in near 30 years. I didn't delete my ignorant comment as I made a mistake and didn't want to cover it up by deleting it, I owned up and apologised.
Kai is also using his back in the barbell curl isn’t he? I mean I thought the strict barbell curl has almost no back movement and your elbow stays basically stationary.
Kai works out literally 10 minutes away from me. Also 10:05 - is that an early 2000's Eminem I see? Also also I love that he was going too high on the weights, but Kai explained and gave an example. Kai did the 30's and started to struggle, most people think if you can't do it it makes you weak. After Adam understood, he completely got down with it. Kai seems like such incredibly down to earth guy.
Everything that was said in this video i still use till this day. It really helped me understand the fundamentals of the working out.

Kia is too sweet. Reason be the way he breaks down things n explan it to a person without letting the person feel small, ashamed or belittled.
Yeah I like how he made those 25 pound dumbbells look heavy even though he could do more so not to make the other dude insecure
