Pascal - excellent work once again my friend. I appreciate your efforts, talent and obvious appreciation for truly magnificent music! Thanks for posting!
+Hugo Chastanet . Salut Hugo.
Bravo. Un régal! lechanteurhugo.bandcamp.com
Great job! I was greatly surprised by your voice too, it fits nicely. Must have been hard to figure out the chord positions with the odd tuning. Keep it up!
I play 12-string too. I may or may not use the alternate tuning when I try to learn this the 40th anniv. of this album. But I love what you are doing. Let's be guitar friends.
Fantastically beautiful. Is this guitar in standard tuning? I only ask because I had read that Mike Rutherford had used a strange tuning for the 12 string in cinema show where the sympathetic strings were actually tuned to Harmonies. I can't wait to learn this one.
42 Roads for Man I am so glad you like it. The tuning is weird alright. You have it in the text under the video. And this one is easy when you have the right tuning.
Is the alternative tuning what Steve used? It is a little awkward to switch out guitars on stage just to use a guitar with an unorthodox tuning. In any case, very well done. I'll have to give it a go on my 12.
The beginning sounds bouncy to me; try more legato. As for ritardandos and accelerandos, Hackett himself sometimes played them weirdly; they're up for interpretation. When you got legato, the high notes were nicely delicate; from then on, expression was well interpreted. The vocals at that point sounded rushed, but notes were better than I expected and your voice sounds experienced (in jazz?). "Take a little trip back..." had perfect rhythm in vocals. One thing keeping this from being complete it the lack of another line of vocals; the easiest improvement would be to add harmony in the magical sounded vocal parts.
The fact that these videos exist in youtube gives me hope on humanity.
This is a really nice statement! I appreciate it very much
Impressive, Tony Banks plays the 12 string in this song… talk about musicianship. Very well done
A music man paying tribute and displaying quality ❤
Thanks for playing this song beyond just the intro.
Excellent Job...... Both, Guitar and Vocals
That’s beautiful my friend.. the guitar is perfection and you have a lovely voice .. shades of Tony Hadley .. really lovely thank you 🙏
This is fantastic! My favorite Genesis piece. This sounds amazing even without the keyboards and dual drumkits.
You sound a lot like Peter Gabriel himself. Thank you for this great cover :D
Soumya Sarkar this is the best compliment possible. Thank you very much Soumya.

Coming from you (whom I scrutinize very regularly) this is certainly a compliment that will be appreciated.

Superb. What tuning are you using?
Magnificent ... What tuning do you use? Thanks...from Rome.
finalmente un tutorial chiaro...Francesco from Sicily
Thank you very much. Hope you like the other songs too (-:
Great! thanks!
Nice Job!
Geez , it would take me all day just to get tuning right!
Is the alternative tuning what Steve used? It is a little awkward to switch out guitars on stage just to use a guitar with an unorthodox tuning. In any case, very well done. I'll have to give it a go on my 12.
Mike was the one who uses alternative tuning.
wow
What happened with the rest of the song???
Great cover, are you using standard tuning for the 12 string, or Mike Rutherfords variation? 1E, 2B, 3Ge, 4Da, 5A,6E
Hello Alex and thank you for your nice comment.
The tuning is in the text.
Are you Peter Gabriel undercover?
Thanks Harold (-:
I prefer your version over the original!
Great playing. What a weird tuning!
È una bellissima esecuzione. Secondo me, quando canti, acceleri un po' il tempo. Potrebbe essere però solo una mia impressione.

Troppo veloce ma eccellente come accompagnamento
Singing it far too fast
Good guitar, voice is not
it's unnecessary fast :(
Nice
