Step Five: Sweat profusely and let your hair turn into a mess right from the beginning.
And always forget to shave.
And throw drops of sweat to first musicians😆
I expected that to be step 1
Have your hair as nice as possible.
Gergiev doesn't conduct.
He interpretive dances in front of the orchestra. With a toothpick.
Nightfeather LMFAOOOOO
One thing he does really well though is interpreting the piece. Every Shostakovich piece from him is absolutely perfect, so let's not discredit him 100%
@Mason Guy
No one is discrediting him, it's a joke, mate... ;-)
Gergiev doesn't conduct. Conduct does Gergiev.
LOLLLLLL
"Learn to Conduct like Gergiev in 1 minute"
*4 and a half minute video*
Paper Mario they are mastering the power of CLICKBAITING!!!
Paper Mario - 1 minute lesson 3 mins of practice. Good ratio
Clearly they exist in a time signature that only Gergiev can comprehend
Say that
@DeadPurpleStar *Hoseok..... your not a reall army...😅
2:27 the guy behind Gergiev is so me lol😂😂😂
Rita pavlovsky it's so funny
Lol I saw that too XD
Best part of this video for me. Thanks for pointing it out!!
He s digesting that laugj
So you're a guy
Last step: Sweat intensely in the first 5 mins of the piece
And never shave to look like a homeless man.
@@Checkmate1138😂😂
First time I sang with him was in San Fransisco in the opera Herodiade as Jean the Baptist. I was completely confused at the first rehearsal. I honestly didn't have any idea how to follow him....when to come in, when to cut off, nothing! But, by the time we got to performances, I was connected in a way that is impossible to explain. Sometimes it is not about perfect technique or a beat which is easily followed. The next time we collaborated was with the Rotterdam Philharmonic at the Concetgebow in Amsterdam. 1st act of Walkure. I had performed Siegmund over 50 times. At the piano rehearsal he had 3 or 4 specific places he wanted to hear. The rehearsal lasted 10 minutes. Final orchestra rehearsal and performances were some of my favorites in my career. He is a genius who knows when he has to push and when he just needs to create art together.
1. Have a seizure
2. Break your wrists
Shiro 3. Sweat like crazy
5. Get a bald spot on your head.
6. Lose all sanity
7. Never shave.
"The pinky is the winds, the ring finger is the strings, middle fingers is for...viola." Something I think he could've said.
He was going to
I thought that
He definitely said that
That was the joke
VIOLAAAAA
©️Sergiù Celibidache
The stare is 100% him, when I saw him a couple of years ago that was him for the entirety of the concert !! His eyes can allegedly murder a violinist's career in one glance
How to sell your soul to the devil like Paganini pls.
Who are you
40 hours
Aahh!! Through online shop...
The Viola joke cracked me up so hard
~When you're a violist~
I love how I'm watching this with a serious face and full attention to detail like I'm actually planning on conducting like Gergiev for a living-
They forgot step 1: dump water on your head beforehand.
As a person who watched Gergiev on many occasions, the latest being last week - I laughed so hard, lol. True, all true. Yet hilarious!
You should impersonate lang lang next, good luck with that
Saint Luis IX what you doing on TH-cam?! GO PRACTICE! 😆
"yang yang'
"bang bang"
Play like your fingers are on fire and use the sharingan for god level hand eye coordination.
Just pretend every piece of music is Petrushka
I'm a conductor. I can't think of anything else that might be going through his head. WHO NEEDS A TWO INCH BATON?
3:03 I know you also laughed in this part.
I looove Gergiev but oh my god I died laughing at this.
He's an incredible artist and musician.
Of course he is. This video is just for comedic purposes. :-)
no lmao, he hasnt been for some time
hi, I know you don't care but... I'm 12yo from Italy, I love playing violin AND I LOVE TWOSETVIOLIN (Sorry for the bad english, really Sorry)
How to conduct like Bernstein?
PLEASE
Yass phulease
That would be funny but i actually believe Bernstein was an amazing conductor.
FIRST
Letter in the alphabet is A.
W.A. Mozart A for Amadeus i suppose?
Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin .... first of all it's wolfi. SECOND, IT'S MOZART TO NOT WOLDIII DAMMIT.
Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin Get out.
Hello, Wolfi.
Ludwig van Beethoven you shall better speak nicer to my Chopin or I am gonna beat yo ass.
Don't take a risk. Mendelssohn, I warn you.
Last time I was that early Mendelssohn was making that stupid Clara brahms Shumann comments
4:06 me trying to get my friends’ attention
Gergiev gave a thumbs down!
P Heart , that's just the cue for the violas
I went to the show in Singapore today! Really loved it and it is so amazing to see you two face to face! Unfortunate the queue for photo taking is long so I had to skip that :(
Doctor: You have 5 seconds to live
Me: 3:03 watches this
Please teach us how to conduct like Gustavo Dudamel next because I desperately need that in my life
Conduct like Karajan, he is chill and doesn’t perspire, also conducts closed eyes without score. He makes music.
Conduct like Bernstein, he is emotional and unpredictable, musicians might not understand him. He is music.
And Bernstein jumps up and down when the music demands it.
You guys forgot his passionate grunts while he’s conducting.. 😂🤙
🤣🤣you guys are adorable and hilarious!great videos...more 👍
I just realized that Andre Rieu is begging for an impersonation
0:39 replaying this one because ticklish eddy is 🤣🤣🤣
In 1 minute.... The video's got 4:28? 😂 but those 4 and half minutes made my day way better, thank you 👌🙌
I love your guys' editing style. The editor you hire better be worthy!!
Literally just saw Gergiev perform just now and this is so accurate 😂
That's not 1 minute 😂😂😂
Yvonne Tsau You’re not 1 minute
Thanks for making my life awesome!
i dont want to hurt you guys, but these shirts reminds me of colgate for some reason...:/
xristina smusic It’s actually supreme
That’s the point.
Elizabeth Pucilowski wait that's supreme. The shirt quality is soon bad.
Omg.. I was thinking the same thing..lol..
For those that don't know those shirts are a parody of the Supreme brand of clothing, whose logo was sorta inspired by parodies of Colgate (I think??)
Viola being played by heifetz at 4:28 while the video starts at 0:00 thank me later
3:18?
But you, Felix, wrote a fantastic viola sonata. Why do you insult viola? 😂
Daniel Boschetti Cause it’s a viola
You did this already last video
Saint Luis IX I make jokes in a sonata form exposition development, recapitulation
I have to also say, I saw him conduct Vienna the Bruckner 7 and that changed my whole love for the monsterous symphonies. He made me love them. I wish he’d come back to Carnegie, but they basically banished him for being besties with Putin.
Gergiev may be wacky but gets so great sound from the orchestras he conducts. They forgot to mention "sweat profusely."
"Give me money, make me rich" never forgotten
I was even searching for this and with luck this video was shown to me again 🤩
Imitate TwoSetViolin
Such an epic conductor, he is so mesmerizing, I forgot about the orchestra 😂
Liked this before watching because of the thumbnail 😂
When Brett popped his wrist though ... And I was so scared he'd poke Eddy with the toothpick in the end when he kept flapping his hands!
You forgot to add: sweat profusely.
I was waiting for the viola middle finger joke. Thanks!
Conductor Teodor Currentzis is another no-baton conductor too - plus his orchestra musicAeterna. Watching him and his orchestra is like watching an opera cast who have suddenly switched to instruments. Emotions are expressed "bigger" than in real life. Lts of Agony and Ecstacy. And when he has the string section standing to play Prokofiev's The Dance of the Knights, it's a wonder somebody doesn't lose an eyeball.
🤣
Wish I could watch your concerts
I love your shirts.
1:48 Kind of like the how to play like your favorite violinist, The Kavakos's elbow.
Gergiev interprets the music the way he wants it and he gets the result -- music with a character. Many conductors play by the book and are conventional.
I love your impersonations :-)
When are you gonna do David Garrett? I'm dying to see that one!!! 😂 He's got so many different personalities!
(starts laughing ass off)valery is a family friend & actually taught me how to conduct.
The amount of times I've had to stop your videos cause I'm about to choke on my food xD
Bwahahaha! I sang a piece with the composer (who shall remain nameless) who guest conducted our performance in the Symphony. During rehearsal his conducting looked like palsy mixed with tremors, I saw the eyes of all the string players get wide, and then immediately darted down to the score. At the break, our Choirmaster came over and whispered loudly to the chorale, " follow the concertmaster's bow!!!!" =p
A conductor in the theatre I work at (his mother studied with Gergiev at the Leningrad Conservatory), once told a story that Gergiev never used to do those things while conducing back in the day, but one time someone told him at the Cons that he needs to stand out, so he started doing that "vibrato" thingy with his hands...
How to preform like Denis Matsuev.
Step 3 made me laugh so hard!! "Then comes the spasm" hahaha
0:39 AHHHH Brett your laugh is soooo damn cute😊😊
I'm a viola, but I've never laughed so hard at a viola joke before. LoLOL
when i saw this dude conducting with a toothpick with my own two eyes, i realized that i had yet to see everything
I love his conducting of bolero!
Gergiev loves to conduct Scriabin, who is also a madman
Why so much on the viola lol!
I'm a violist btw
But I still love you guys keep making viola jokes👏
jade cerron as a violist it's actually annoying
As a VIOLINIST, i agree. sometimes they go too far
The middle finger... the violas?
The guy literally be laughing at the back lmaoo
Hey, I'm an Italian fan and I wanted to ask you something.
Can you react to an Italian conductor called Giovanni Allevi?
He is just... too much.
I mean, he directed one of the most important orchestras in Italy in tennis shoes, t shirt and sweater pants... and that isn't even the worst.
Sorry for my bad grammar 💘
To be honest, I respect him for being able to do that in front of his orchestra and the crowd. God knows that's how I act when I'm listening to my music at home. He's so comfortable with them (or just doesn't care lmfao), he's having fun with it! Be glad that he's at least not unsightly while he does it, compared to my wholly erratic spasms. 😂😂😂😂
Learn to Conduct like Gustavo Dudamel in 1 minute // Greetings from Venezuela lml
Step 6: Poor a bottle of water on your head when no one’s looking to appear extra
Now he is fired. Sad.
You should do an historical series-like Furtwangler
I’d love it if you impersonated
The great:
“Herbert Von Karajan”
I donno about the orchestra, but seeing him conduct gives me goosebumps.....
TwoSet I know not many people voted for Seattle on the instagram poll, but please come to Seattle!!
The fucking viola jokes always catch me off guard lmao
Gergiev has a new rival : DJ Conductor
Nobody:
brett: *giVe me moNey*

着眼点が素晴らしい!
この爪楊枝みたいな棒での指揮は、ロンドン交響楽団さんの「ボレロ」の動画かしら?

THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!
eddy's hand seals were actually on point o.o
You guys should do Karajan or Bernstein. And for violin - do Janine Jensen or Anne Akiko Meyers pretty please!
3:03 im fucking wheezing
Well thx for letting me drool all over my shirt
Having been conducted for Gergiev, this is so fucking accurate lmao
Please do one of Lindsey Stirling :v
YESSSSS
But... They stan her
@@victoriafernandez7526 why do you think so? just wondering
Great vid, can you link the vids you use in the description please
I had to rewind to double check that the toothpick was not edited in
3:03 best part of the video
Haha, I love this! So funny :D
You guys need to teach us how to conduct like Carlos Kleiber. like his New Years concerts with the Vienna Philharmonic?
Even only breath is done with it
That's a good scary glare Ed!
notice that they mainly use gergievs the firebird cause damn gergiev has a seizure, passes way and is resurrected in that one sitting
Stravinsky Firebird is slightly traumatic
Do Dudamel next (with wig)
So I'm not the only one to see a Jack Nicholson in Gergiev !
Awesome videos guys!! Some ideas: Gautier Capuçon, Daniil Trifonov, David Fray, Gustavo Dudamel.
actually guys it is pronounced Gh'er-ghi-yev :D Love from ur russian fan :)
