My teacher recommended using a metronome. It’s just that the metronome was broken and kept changing tempo during the piece 🤨

When I first heard "accelerando," and Brett said growing, I was like "okay. it's brief, but not bad." Then Eddy said, "Adagio, with age" and I was like "what?" But then Brett said, "Allegro, leg growing (or something didn't hear clearly)" and I finally realized this is by our most unqualified source for music education.
Then afterwards I realized the pronunciation was wrong too, and I decided to go practice. To save face.

hi from chicago! i love this video because it helped me so much with musical terminology! when my private teacher asks me what 'legato' means, i'll be able to tell her that it's when you play with your leg and a bit of toe. however, i'm a bit disappointed because you didn't explain what pesante meant.

Come on guys musicology can be a dream to people like me, started playing instruments mostly in late teens (violin 5 years ago at age 17) and have strong interest in psychology, philosophy etc. I'm so happy I can study music even when I can't become a professional musician :))
You guys are great. My favorites: "Atonal - it means you play it with ... a toenail" and Klangfarbenmelodie which sounds awful, like your piano teach throwing you out the window, but appears to mean a melody where the sounds have lovely colors to them.
