The tog series is definitely an emotional roller coaster ⚔️🔥 i have been wanting to read a fate inked in blood for months! I might wait for the second book to be released first so i can "avoid" the cliffhanger 😂
In theory avoiding the cliffhanger made sense, but it just sitting on my nightstand unfinished -taunting me- hasn't really been any better 👀 😂 I almost caved and picked it back up last night..we'll see how long I last 🫣 lol

I read the Chestnut Spring series, and was like wow amazing must have more, so then I went into Gold Rush not knowing that they're connected (and technically first inline) it took me awhile to realize that Violet was Violet and then I was like, hey waitaminute... and. that's the end of my really cool story. I know, I'm a really good story teller. :p Assistant to the Villain is on my peripheral tbr. my hmm maybe tbr. you know?
Hahahaha loved your really cool story 😋 I kinda love that I read Chestnut first (even though Gold Rush is technically first), because it made Violet's book so much better. It felt like I "knew" her dad and brothers, so anytime she mentioned them I could clearly envision how they might react to something. I got more feels from it. And Assistant was a peripheral for me too! It was always something that I was like "yea maybe I'll read that one of these days" ...but then I found out it was a romance and immediately grabbed it from the library LOL It is very goofy, so I can see why someone might not like it, but I had a blast reading it 😈📖✨
@@jenseereads yes, I absolutely agree about reading Chestnuts first, because of those very same reasons. I still haven't read the prequel to Gold Rush Ranch and part of me feels like I need to do that to feel complete, but the other part of me is like nah, I don't want to. you're making Assistant more and more enticing. hmm. perhaps if my Libby carries it...

I didn't know that A Fate Inked in Blood ended on a cliff hanger and that it would be so long until the next book 🥲I had it on my tbr to read for this month, but now I'm wondering if I should wait
The authors website says spring 2025 for the next book 😭 I've been loving it so much I hate to dissuade you from reading it (and ruin your tbr plans 😅)...but also if I could go back in time I would have saved it for later LOL
@@jenseereads lol no please don't worry about ruining my tbr for me. I had this struggle with another series and I had to keep rereading the books before it so I wouldn't forget the premise of the story 😭
@@goodmornindreamer why can't our brains retain stories!? 🫠 LOL I have a series that I want to continue, but I read the first book over a year ago..and I can't remember a single thing about it. 😭I'm not a big re-reader, so who knows if it'll ever get finished 😅 Update on Inked: I ended up finishing it last night and the cliffhanger wasn't actually that bad, but the chance of forgetting the entire plot before the next book comes out is very real 🙃

i was in a small slump, only casually reading some manga here and there and I picked up my first Emily Henry book, Beach Read and I'm loving it i do not read romance except for like literally once a year and it's reminding me to look for more books with pan and non-binary rep bc I want to see someone like me fall in love with the steamy love interest 🥺🏳️🌈(read: tall muscular woman)
