    • @Bugpickerlicker
      @Bugpickerlicker 6 ปีที่แล้ว +241

      The gang goes on a skiing trip to the appalachian mountians so i tried doing the reasearch to solve your question but the information was difficult so i opted to use the Rocky mountains(hoping that since the average mountain size in both regions was close enough the numbers wouldnt be tooooo far off) the rocky mountains as of 2015 was estimated to have aprox. 2billion barrels of crude oil still within them and since the rocky mountains are made up of 54 different mountains i went ahead and worked out that in the average rocky mountain there are 37million barells of crude oil within it. One barrel of crude oil in 2015 would cost roughly 43 dollars so buy fracking on mountain frank could made upwards to 1,591,000,000 dollars and considering the oil industries is a 351billion per year industry that doesnt seem like a too crazy far out number. So after taxes(in the highest bracket) frank would have retained 1,002,330,000$. After youve read all this just know im not sure about any of it, have a good day

    What’s funnier is that Frank was willing to trick Dee by paying a bunch of actors, her garbage man, Snyder, Michael Rotenberg, rented out a comedy club, charters a private jet with tricking Dee into flying to Hollywood, when really she was flying all over Philadelphia for six hours.
    The funniest part of that episode to me is how much Frank paid the private airline company, just to fly locally for 6 hours. The plane had to have used up more jet fuel, than going from Philly to LA!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

      MrJre4491 Ya but then Frank says she looks like shit and the gang says she never looked good and Frank shrugs which I took as a ya she probably was always ugly. • @zick5080
      @zick5080 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      very true. they do that to keep a majority owner was making rash decisions that might work against the other shareholders best interest. But if exactly 1/3 voted they would loose, seeing that it takes a 2/3 vote to win. They would need 1/3 of the votes plus 1 more vote to conquer a 2/3 vote system.

    I have a great premise for a new season!! If Frank “Mysteriously” dies, and leaves the gang his money, except with some bizarre stipulations as to how they can spend that money. After two or three episodes of crazy financial splurging, Frank reappears and takes all the money back....the last part is up for debate, but I think the rest sounds good lol

    This actually makes a lot of sense as to why the gang lives the way they do. I can't see Frank not leaving money for Dee and Dennis and Charlie after he dies or something, plus during his time alive he'll always bail them out of trouble. They know they can fuck up and still be good. I got a feeling Mac might be outta luck when it comes to inheritance.

    $8,000,000.00. thats how much is on the check when he gives away all his money. so your baseline should just start from when frank joins the gang in season 2 with that being the figure hes worth after his divorce. so peiceing together or guessing prior to this point is kinda moot as we know how much he is worth at the start of the show.

It is expensive to make though, crow eggs are not as cheap as you’d think. They are at least breaking even. Donald Cerrone helped spread the word of fight milk to everyone in that industry. Dana White mentions fight milk in several of his recent interviews and how it’s becoming a “big problem.” They are considering banning any substance with crows eggs due to malnutrition issues in fighters.

    You made an error when calculating the amount of stock Frank would need to be the majority shareholder. You determined that he had 51% of the stock, but by law, you need two thirds of a companies stock to be the majority shareholder. Since the 51% rule is just a movie law, but doesn't actually exist in the real world. So he would gain 10,693,226.64 rather then the 8,180,318.38 you said he sold the company for.

    • @getschwifty1197

      NColinCorfixsen Ever heard of IFRS 3?

    • @NColinCorfixsen
      @NColinCorfixsen 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are laws put in place to protect smaller shareholders from someone who holds less then 2/3 of a companies stocks. Because the law specifies that unless you own 2/3 of the shares you single handedly vote on behave of the minority shareholders. Since what the stockholders agree on, affects everyone's stock, and as such, everyone's money. So should a person with 51% of stocks in a company, for any reason want to drive the company to ruins, then the minority shareholders are protected.
      What you're sighting is what most call, Movie Laws, or Movie facts. Like the "fact" that we only use 15% of our brains, or that a cop has to tell you that their a cop or not. Or in this case, if you own 51% of a company, you can do anything you want with the company. It's made to simplify the laws, so that the audience can remember it more easily. And my sources for this information comes from a lawyer friend of mine, who works with this kinda stuff. So I'll take his word over yours any day of the week.

    • @getschwifty1197
      @getschwifty1197 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      NColinCorfixsen Again, have you read the contents of IFRS 3 and 10? IIRC, you don't even need to own majority interest to consolidate the financial statements so long that there's de facto control.

      Cocaine racks up the cost through export as many shipments are lost in some form and the rest of it has to make up for profits and wages. Cocaine directly in Columbia would be worth less and they would probably already have factored out some losses. It's likely he paid nothing doing all that cocaine and since he was again living at bare minimum it would have all been pocketed.

      I agree Frank would definitely be manipulating to screw over people buying into and out of his companies. Since they aren't publicly traded it wouldn't be insider trading though. Probably still illegal and it would def be allowing him to double his money even faster. I don't think Frank could get away with insider trading on public companies; that's a whole different level to do over a long time and stay out of jail.

    • @tjjackson242
      @tjjackson242 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Randomness68 You're an idiot if you think he would get away with that. The SEC is up everyone's ass. They've got guys on trades that yielded a few thousand; you think they'd skip over a guy making a few million?

    • @randomness6862
      @randomness6862 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TJ Jackson I appreciate your input. You may believe I’m an idiot, however, I disagree. Considering roughly 54% of the American population owns some sort of market investment, be it stock, mutual fund, ETF, etc, that would mean ~177 million Americans invest. Considering there are 4,301 people currently employed under the SEC, it is physically impossible to track and account for all 177 million peoples trades, therefore many people who find a way to get insider information would fall through the cracks. Considering how smart frank has shown himself to be when it comes to money there’s no doubt in my mind that he’d probably invest through some offshore firm, for example a non sec compliant firm in the Bahamas. It’s 100% legal and also very unregulated. Also, if you still think I’m an idiot, we can compare portfolios and see who’s performing better, but that’s up to you.

    • @tjjackson242
      @tjjackson242 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Randomness68 Alright, first of all you have no idea how the SEC works. They don't monitor everyone at all times. How they nail investors who are using private information is they look at trading volume before a large event. If there is a suspicious amount of volume, they investigate the trades. There's no monitoring involved until they have reason to believe that you are using insider info. If you're trading with an offshore fund, it really wouldn't matter as the majority of countries have insider trading laws that allow for international cooperation.
      Reference: SEC v. David Lubin
      Buddy, I don't think you want to compare portfolios with a portfolio manager who manages a market-neutral income-oriented portfolio. If my performance beats your own, you need to step away from investing forever.
