Had the ember mug - it only really works for black coffee or tea.
The minute you add milk - in a coffee, or a latte, or in your tea - you end up with a funky milk skin on top. It’s just nasty and not worth the complication.
A proper insulated mug has none of the same issues.
You need low fat milk
isn't that because it's too hot? the fat is separating from the milk, a lower temp would should still keep the drink warm without that
I’ve never had that issue with Ember. An Insulated mug keeps the temp for far less time, and doesn’t work well with frothed milk given the tiny hole
I've used multiple ember mugs for multiple years, and take quite a bit of cream in my coffee but have never once experienced this issue
Metal MX master could be magnesium alloy like what Razer did with their disaster-of-a-release Viper Mini Signature edition. That thing is incredibly light

regarding the ember mug "universal adapter" - there are plenty of cheap mug heating pads that you can put on your desk and it will just heat anything you put on there. idk if they need it to be portable, hence on the cup itself, but yeah just a thought
Those don't work as well because the ember also detects the temperature and gets the cup to an exact temp.
I do think a middle ground is possible yeah where you have version with on mug controls and skip the app. The universal puck is hard because I guess it would be like one of those whiskey stones except it heats up the drink??
Finding compatible cups can be tricky. Duralex glasses work well with the cosori mug warmer I have because the bottom is perfectly flat. Bonus no water trapped on the bottom of the glasses in the dishwasher. They are also dishwasher safe and much more durable than other glasses I have owned. I'm really happy with the combo, especially for the price.
I love this video. This needs to be a regular thing. Maybe monthly. I love the different veiw points on different issues. Keep it up.

Google, Apple, Spotify, TH-cam, etc always tell you they take feedback seriously but they really don’t. They have employees who make well over 100k/y and they can’t seem to hire people who specifically laser focus on feedback around the clock. This would strongly benefit their UI/UX. I’m surprised they haven’t implemented polling on their feedback pages. That way whatever is ranked the highest would shoot up to the top of the page.
I wish we knew their true reasoning for these actions. I know it basically leads to money in the end.
The true reasoning is most of these companies are very top down and the overwhelming majority of their budget is not put towards UI/UX (like less than 10%) but towards infrastructure and core feature development. If the director of the org doesn’t think a complete overhaul of the UI isn’t worth it, then no resources will be put towards that effort.
@@tpad6 that's what people always say, but to me, it sounds insane. Why do we assume that if they do some bad UI, that leads to more money? How about, they just do bad UI, and it's a mistake, or they're not as smart as they think they are, and it doesn't improve anything for their customers so leads to less money? They are not infallible.

I never had this problem, but I have no idea what you mean by 'semi large'. I don't know what you're trying to hoover up but they're intended for you know, dust. I've met people before who whined that their handheld vacuum only went for 15 minutes which suggests they are seriously into vacuuming or trying to do what, an hour of vacuuming once every six months?
@@jonevansauthorseriously I got the v15 detect because my GF moved in with 3 (three!) cats, and its amazing for picking up all the dang cat fur and dander off the hard floor and the extremely short pile carpet. It’s also good for cleaning the cat tower and the couch they love to sit on. If your house is carpeted just get a stand up vacuum because the stick vacuum can’t hold enough to clean more than a room at a time, and obviously something that plugs into the wall will be much stronger. Also put the thing in eco mode
@@jonevansauthorYeah its they way the brand it "more suction than a corded vacuum" i got the v10 and the suction is weak. Yes dust is fine, but bigger crumbs are a no-go. So we had to get corded vacuum as well, We really love the cordless and ease of use.

Love the ember mug, hate the app. And I agree, get rid of Bluetooth and the app - even when it works it is pointless and buttons could do the exact same thing the app does.
Speaking of Dyson, whoever came up with the trigger mechanism has clearly not vacuumed an entire house in 1 go in their life. Why not just make that an ON/OFF button? Or at least add that option. My girlfriend complains all the time about the wrist pain from the v15 Detect.
Ember do not use inductive, they use 2 bins to charge the mug. I wish its inductive, but it’s not.

I agree, I don't touch the Bluetooth for the Ember. A temp setting would be perfect.
Also, I wish there was a 16oz or 20oz mug size. 12-14oz just enough enough for me. 🤷🏽♂️
Premiere now auto saves in the background, and you can set the interval for like every one minute

I need air pods pro max which are essentially air pods max but they have a jack port so you can use them with Bluetooth or you can plug them in and use them as professional studio headphones. When they’re in Bluetooth mode then they’ve got the bass boosted response but when they’re plugged in they’re flat response
Imagine having the best pair of consumer headphones and the best pair of studio headphones and they’re THE SAME PAIR
The travel version of the ember mug has a built-in touch dial. But it only holds 12 ounces.

Premiere has proper auto save now. If you crash, it picks up right where you left off. It still has the older function but they will probably only keep that around under they are 100% certain the new feature won’t fail.

I love my ember mug. I am very very fussy about my temperature . I have never had an issue with the ember with my iPhone . I wonder if it is an iOS thing but my ember app always works well!
Honestly, the material used in it its the reason I like the Magic Mouse. I don't even mind how it charges as I only need to charge it about once every second month or something. But what annoys me is that it doesn't support secondary click while clicking. As someone who switched from Windows, this, and not even the natural scrolling which annoys some people, is what bothers me a lot. But I often adapted by just adding a key bind. 🙃
Damn I love the MagSafe Duo. I’ve had one since I bought the Apple Watch.
It essentially just allows me to have a single charger. I just have the Duo and I charge everything with it and I only need one cable to charge two devices at the same time.

I only use my ember mug and my husband makes mugs (and other things) for a living. Hot drinks have to be hot and I only set it to the max temp and then never touch the app again.
Premiere is so good on my m1 max. Also auto save can be changed to more frequently. I use it constantly at my job.
Also getting rid of the iPhone charger would cripple people like me with awful internet so I can't sync or backup without the cable rip also what about audiophiles who use aux cables still?

Scuba app on apple watch pro that provides safety stop vibration ... towards end of the dive, you are suppose to have a safety stop at 15ft for 3 minutes. Why is such a simple feature missing from a watch designed to be used as a dive computer? literally 10 lines of code (or less)... if 20ft>depth>15ft, display "safety stop?"... if confirmed, do 3 minute countdown...

I only use the ember mug app when the mug totally losts it and doesn’t start heating and doesn’t respond. Which is also a problem. 😅

My biggest wish for the ember mug is to be able to use a regular wireless charger instead of the ember one with the giant power brick.
For the Mx master just take a microfiber cloth get it lightly damp with a tiny amount of dish soap and clean it. I just did it last week and the mouse looks brand new.
I just use a dish sponge. No soap. Does the job quite well

I always use the app 14:04. The app is buggy at times, but you want it to not heat up anything to preserve battery while not in it's charger. Indeed the mug is great at what it does and bow I use it.

Premiere is definitely better on m1 now but it still kinda takes a while to render certain stuff (although that’s mostly with after effects and I have the base model M1 Pro)
Also for the Samsung fold, make it dust resistant.
why the hell don't airtags have a non-removable battery so a thief cant turn it off, there's less battery waste and charging can occur using the apple watch charger?

My opinion on the MX series of Logitech mice; it would be great if they worked fully on Linux, it would be great if all of the changes to the mouse were saved on the mouse, and It would be great if they didn't use soft touch coating.
My problem with the ember mug is that the pin on the charging coaster gets stuck and then I have to get a new one

Nike run club app lack of watch support confused me so much. I thought I was alone! It's the worst when you're a treadmill runner! Start run on my phone, plonk it down monitor HR (heart rate) on watch and just run. No feedback to phone apart from HR. No cadence, no distance, nothing. Womp womp.
How did iPad Pro running MacOS not make the list? If Apple doesn't do this soon I’m going to have to start looking at Windows tablets for my next upgrade.

Ember mug is not that bad, never had issues walking by it and connecting, it was working great with Bluetooth connection but lately is a bit buggy is still not bad

I hate that you can’t save drafts in the messages app on iPhone. Nobody seems to notice how bad the UI is, until you need to look at a specific message when you have a drafted text going and the only way to get out of that view is to send the message, copy/paste the message to notes app, or cancel the message altogether. What if I need to look at a separate message thread to send the message I’m formulating?Come on Apple! Multitasking should be wayyy better by now. Its 2024 and my mom does have an iPhone 😂

Google calendar not allowing you to customize the colors within a single calendar, you can make one custom color per calendar and then you have to use the ugly default colors
How about a mouse from Apple that is actually usable for more than 10 minutes. If Apple would take the design from something like the Hero G502 (or any Logitech mouse really...) but then make it with Aluminum and an amazing aluminum wheel that reacts to different programs (like the Rivian's steering wheels)....Also with a glowing apple logo...with of course the charging in the same location as a Logitech mouse so you can use it as a wired mouse.

Guys. If you need some mug or coffee bottle that maintains the same temperature, buy just a zojirushi thermal bottle. The moment you close it, the temperature won’t go down for at least half a day. The only problem is that you cant choose the temperature with a dial or precision, but if you don’t mind that, the zojirushis are reaaaaaally amazing bottles
Those things don’t work well with frothed milk, because you have a tiny hole to drink from. Meaning the milk ends up separating from the coffee, slightly ruining the drink.
Google Keep and checkboxes is a mess. I have a grocery list which is now 100+ items long, but there are a lot of duplicates. Because say i need to buy bread, i start typing bre.. and it shows a popup with bread checkbox i already have. So i tap that, but often instead of just unchecking that checkbox it creates a new copy with a random space at the end. So, i now have like 5 items for bread. And as there is no sorting in checkboxes, there is no way to clean that up.

Ember mug points, I set the temp, delete the app and it keeps it. Also, get the Ember lid, they are back in stock
Changing between photo and video mode in the Canon R5 makes no sense at all. If you press record you immediately enter a saved preset. But if you just want to start video mode. You have to press mode. Then info and then select the video mode you want to be in. Perhaps I’m missing something but that’s the way the camera teaches you to do it. Which is too many steps in my opinion.

Cybertruck rear view screen is a dumb idea. Sideview mirrors need to be permanently on the screen in smaller less intrusive size or they need a panoramic rear view that combines all 3 cameras.
I pulled the side mirrors out and honestly, having everything on one screen is much better than having to look up, down, and side to side to see all around as you drive.

I have one and I'm just a slow drinker so I keep the base at my desk and my coffee will stay perfectly hot forever. It's nice if you just want one cup. I also got it as a gift so I don't have to defend the high cost.

Apple should improve airdrop. Sometimes is does not work at all. Doesn’t find devices or just finds them one way and you have to turn off the device or WiFi and turn it back on to make it work
