    Found you and took a look at how easy it was, I replaced mine 10 years ago but forgot all about it. Checked ythe RV Dealer and discovered the part was $89.00 - YIKES!!!!! One of you commenters mentioned that he reused the old seal. That's what I did, I cleaned it up and it has worked like a charm. Thanks for your video and for the comments. David aka Superdad

    Just came across your vid! another one I saw had the whole toilet apart.yours is much simpler and worked for me.however,I removed the seals and just cleaned them really well and applied some silicone spray.the seals themselves were still very pliable and not dried or cracked.I reused the same seals.working like a charm so far!

      Another great solution! As long as the seal is in decent shape the silicone spray is a great idea.

    Thank you!!!!! We have owned a couple trailers and had no problems. Just bought our first class C and it REEKS!!! doesn't hold water and you can see an opening or gap. Ordering this kit RIGHT! NOW!!!
    Oh and we have the exact same toilet so this vid was SUPER convenient!

    Thanks for the clear to the point video...I'm in hopes mine is as easy as yours. (Mine is a Dometic Se Land Model 110 or 210 or 510H...2004 Outback...I've yet to tackle taking the toilet apart..so not sure of the model...) . I'd watched a previous video where he took off the pedal too..... like I said, I sure hope mine is as simple as yours....Thanks again !

    Great job and video. What if its leaking from the hoses behind the toilet. Every time I flush I hear drip drip drip drip, and find water on the floor later. Just bought this used 2015 Puma and its a Dometic toilet. Don't know exactly if its leaking only when I flush or if its coming from the valves behind the toilet. Guess I need to do more investigating; but would like to see a video of how to change the hose/hoses and/or fittings behind the toilet if for some reason its leaking from there cause I do find water on the floor around the toilet from behind one of the fittings and water circling the toilet. Thanks. JG

      Janet Geal that I would imagine is a leaking coupler or fitting.

      I would try tightening the screws on the fittings first!

    So we're you having clean water on the floor at the base of your toilet? I'm noticing water starting to puddle a little bit around the base.

    What is the easiest way to find out what model toilet you have?

  • @janetgeal1969
    @janetgeal1969 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, I did find out toilet only leaks when I flush it; it doesn't leak when its not in use. The water stays in the bowl.

    you don't have to take all that apart just open up the flat ball stick your hand inside of it and you take it right out of there. Otherwise nice video.

    • @madd_maxx7413
      @madd_maxx7413 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      other models can be replaced in that manner.however,this particular model must be taken apart in order to change the seal! such as is shown in this video!

    You don’t know the difference between a flathead and Philips? Btw your head is missing a chunk of hair.
